The main purpose of this article is to describe in general
and briefly the paradigm alteration occurred in the philosophical
debate of mind-body problem. This article is aimed at finding a
clarification of certain causes based on the argumentations and
solutions offered by philosophers in facing mind-body problem.
In this article, the purposed paradigm alteration is not only
related to the ontological but also the epistemological and
analytical bases of mind-body problem. Such mind-body problem is
not only comprehended as a problem that requires a distinct status
but also an explicit of both its character and its relat
Kritik Fenomenologis Merleau-Ponty atas Filsafat Pengetahuan
The main purpose of this article consists in investigating the phenomenological perspective used by Merleau-Ponty in evaluating critically the conception of knowledge. This investigation is aimed at finding a new path for understanding the essence of knowledge that is formulated by some philosophical mainstreams, such as naturalism and objectivism. Ponty’s phenomenological critique to the philosophy of knowledge is related to to the description of knowledge as a human condition, which makes the thinking of the knowledge problem possible. The phenomenological account that Ponty offers is that we experience ourselves, not as distinct ‘minds’ and ‘bodies’, but as unified persons who form intentions and act in the world, but can do so only because our bodies function mechanically in certain ways. As being poured in his work “the Structure of Behavior”, Ponty explained that the integration of matter, life and mind are obtained by reduction to a common denominator of physical form. This explanation emphasized that the Gestalists had misunderstood the ultimate implications of their own work, because they believed that the notion of structure can be thought within the naturalist ontology that subtended the thought of the atomists whom they had criticized.</p

The results ofthi.tt research show that the fundamental problems ofthe Asghar Ali's theology of liberation in the context oj' the plurality of religions as its background, relate to the attempt to formulate thereltgionmeantng (essence) in the human life. The problems maintain all of the ·theological, human, and justice dimensions. The thought of Asghar Ali about theology of liberation is constructed in the frame ofreligion (Islam) values that are centralized on the tauhid· concept by its moral vision. The thought is intended to realize a universal brotherhood,equality, and social justice. PENDEKATAN FENOMENOLOGIS DALAM STUDI PERBANDINGAN ETOS KERJA MANUSIA BUGIS-MAKASSAR DAN BANGSA JEPANG
Abstract
The result of phenomenological studies on comparative work ethos between Bugis-Makassar people and Japanese shows that both of them are able to positionize themselves appropriately in the dynamic world change which influences all aspects of social life.
Cultural values of work ethos of Bugis-Makassar people and Japanese have similar sources which are values of traditional beliefs/ religions in Asia such as respect and worship to their ancestors. Nowadays the traditional religions still have a big impact in building their work ethos.

HUBUNGAN WAHYU DAN AKAL DALAM TRADISI FILSAFAT ISLAM
This paper attempts to represent the world of philosophical thinking on the relationship between faith and reason among moslem scholars and Islamic doctrines. Qoran is the fundamental principle in inspiring any attempt of reason to find the truth. It means that reason still has its place and possibility to find the truth based on the truth of faith which is inspired by Qoran. It is the focus of discussion between the two outstanding moslem scholars, Ibnu Rusyd (520 H/ 1126 A-595/ 1198) and Ibnu Taimiyyah (662/ 1263). Ibnu Rusyd approaches the correlation between faith and reason in the term of relationship (ittisal). Meanwhile, Ibnu Taimiyyah explores the correlation between faith and reason under the term of muwafaqat. These two scholars are different with one another especially in exploring the fundamental meaning of reason (’aql) and revelation (al-naql)

The probelms are; what is status and role of women likes in Riffat Hasan's feminism theology and how did feminism theology reconstruct the comprehension on status and role of women? The elements of the philosophical method that are used in this research are; interpretation, internal coherence, heuristic, and description.
Riffat Hasan had analyzed critically the root of the status and role women probelm by disclosing the influence of patriach traditions in the view and religion teachings interpretations that are always used as legitimatization for man's superiority. Considering the Al Qur"an, Riffat Hassan formulated a comprehension that essentially, the status and role of women is equal. Both men and women are created from nafs (living entity) the one is not have superiority on the other one
Lahirnya Tensi Metafisik di Urat-Leher Projek-Projek Interpretasi Konstruktif
This project is a legal hermeneutics. The aim is to elaborate the paradigm of the law as integrity theory, Ronald Dworkin’s work, which has received recognition as one of the most influential philosophical systems in the world of law throughout the last century. The issues discussed are divided into three subjects: (1) the interpretation role in legitimizing “law” as a corpus that has a “soul”; (2) a concept of interpretation from the womb of the law as integrity theory; (3) the dual capacity of “constructive interpretation” in [a] “returning” law to its roots; and [b] housing “morals” within the body of positive law. The result: a kind of final picture for us: (1) The legal text (is a narrative that is) “living”. It is not just bones, flesh, and blood. This is the only component that is never finished in a text. It is always in statu interpretandi—like “a fruit that is never fully ripe.” The reason is its virtus flexibilitatis, which is unmatched by other components—its ability to evolve infinitely, to reincarnate, to adapt in mutatio temporum. At the heart of this pars invisibilis, resides the “soul” that has made every text of legal rules alive, functional, and truly working in its society; (2) Dworkin believes that the soul of every text can only be captured by using constructive interpretation—an interpretive technique that makes the theory of the law as integrity a “great teacher” for it. This theory indoctrinates every judge: the furthest goal of every interpretation is to find the “most sublime point of intersection” between the “three teleological factions”: [a] mens legislatoris; [b] contentio logica and [c] contentio moralis. There, resides the soul of every legal text; (3) This intersection actively drives the internalization and integration of moral values into the legal framework
