PEMANFAATAN LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS) PADA MATAKULIAH SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURACE
Traditionally, a learning process is conducted in face to face form. However, due to technology development, it can be carried out in a virtual class. With conventional class, lecturer and students have a limited time to interact or discuss about the course content or other things. To answer the limitations, the traditional method can be combined with the utilizing of ICT, in form of Learning Management System (LMS). The system which heavily relied on internet connection has been adopted widely by many universities all over the world. This paper reports the implementation of LMS at University Bina Darma, specifically in Software Quality Assurance course. This paper covers the features of the LMS and the implementation result of utilizing LMS in SQA learning process. Some general issues and challenges of such initiatives implementation will also be discussed. Nevertheless, although it creates a new challenge for the student, the result indicates that there are no major different between before and after using the media. Understanding IPv6 resistance: A model of resistance among Indonesian organizations
Since its inception in the 1970s, the Internet’s underlying protocol, IPv4, has been incredibly successful; however, the massive and unanticipated growth of the Internet has revealed its limitations. IPv6 was developed as a solution, but despite having many technological improvements its adoption remains very rare. This research examines organizational resistance to IPv6 and proposes an IPv6 Resistance Model which has been developed, empirically tested and validated in the context of Indonesian organizations
Mengapa Ipv6 Gagal ?
ABSTRACTIPv6 was introduced to replace IPv4 as the main IP address. However, despite being more than 15 years since itsstandardization, IPv6 failed to achieve any meaningful diffusion through the Internet. While previous researchhas debated, discussed and explored the IPv6 adoption, this study provides a theoretical perspective to investigatethe failure of IPv6 to diffuse from resistance perspective. Drawing on Tornatzky and Fleischer’s TOE (Technology-Organization-Environment) framework and integrating prior adoption and resistance literatures, we propose amodel of IPv6 resistance. The antecedents of the proposed model basically represent three dimensions of TOEframework including Technological context (lack of need, satisfaction with current system, switching cost andperceived of threat), Organizational context (resource barrier and IT sophistication) and Environmental context(regulatory support). Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Peningkatan Kualitas Jaringan 4G LTE Menggunakan Metode Optimasi Teknik Traffic Sharing
Abstrak:Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakuan optimalisasi kualitas layanan dari jaringan 4G Long Term Solution (LTE). Kualitas suatu jaringan Telekomunikasi mejadi hal yang penting dalam dunia seluler. Gangguan kualitas jaringan akan menurunkan kepercayaan dari pihak pengguna yang selanjutnya memperngaruhi kepercayaan pengguna terhadap produk yang ditawarkan. Kualitas ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa paramenter seperti Traffic, Throughput, Service drop rate (SDR), Handover success rate (HOSR), Radio resource control (RRC). Traffic sharing digunakan untuk mengoptimalkan kualitas jaringan dalam upaya mengoptimalkan beban busy hour traffic dalam satu cell E node B ke E node B lain yang memiliki beban traffic yang lebih rendah. Penelitian ini melakukan pendekatan trigonometri untuk menghasilkan rekomendasi traffic sharing pada jarak terdekat, jarak ideal maupun jarak terjauh dilokasi penelitian. Penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa temuan setelah melakukan pendekatan traffic sharing di implementasikan. Pertama, adanya peningkatan kualitas throughput akibat distribusi trafik yang lebih baik. Kedua penurunan service drop rate dalam upaya mengurangi kegagalan pengguna pada saat menggunakan data 4G LTE. Ketiga meningkatkan keberhasilan pendudukan kanal Radio resource control (RRC) tanpa adanya penolakan dari masing – masing E node B dilokasi penelitian. Keempat menjaga keberhasilan perpindahan antar E node B Handover success rate (HOSR). Kelima untuk metode pendekatan trigonometri dapat menghasilkan pemetaan distribusi traffic maupun jarak yang lebih optimal
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
THE STUDY OF ACCEPTING ELECTRONIC MONEY TECHNOLOGY IN LUBUKLINGGAU SOCIETY
Computer based technology continuely grow affecting people way of life. One of them is how people counduct daily transaction. Traditioanally, people pay using cash money for their transaction, but recent way, people use cashless to do so using e-money. The aims of this study is to analyse people’s intention and behaviour in utilizing e-money for their payment method. The research deploys the UTAUT model as the basis of the theory. Therefore, the variables used in this study are performance expectancy (PE), Effort expectancy (EE), Social influence (SI), Facilitating condition (FC), Hedonic motivation (HM), Price value (PV), Habit (H), Behavioral Intention (BI) and use behaviour (UB). There are 200 valid responses and then it analyzed by using SEM-PLS. The results of this study indicate that hedonic motivation (2.193), habit (2,069), facilitating condition (2,841), Price value (0,404) are significantly influence behaviour intention to use e-money but effort expectancy (0,656), Performance expectancy (0,773), and social influence (0,504)not significantly influence behaviour intention. And then Habit (2,501), Facilitating condition (2,501) are significantly influence use behaviour, but behavioral intention (1,011), not significant influence use behaviour to use e-money
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. The use of information and communication technology is very important in supporting all daily human activities. In the world of education, information and communication technology has a very important role or benefit because many activities in the world of education take advantage of this technology. Pagaralam College of Technology is one of the colleges utilizing information and communication technology, computer networks, but the existing network conditions are not optimal so that the quality needs to be improved to make it better. Also with the increasing competition in higher education management, it is very important for a college to think about how the institution can survive and be superior in determining its competitiveness with other colleges so that the digitization of the campus or the creation of a digital campus is one of the strategies that must be implemented in the face of development existing information and communication technology. This study aims to improve the quality of computer networks to prepare the Pagaralam College of Technology to accommodate the need to become a digital campus, using SWOT analysis methods and TopDown Network Design, network quality testing, or Quality of Service (QoS), and development methods using PPDIOO. (Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate, Optimize). This research results in a better or more reliable new computer network design or blueprints to realize or accommodate a digital campus
