Analisa Kapasitor Bank Untuk Penggunaan 2 Tipe Mesin Cuci Yang Berbeda
Mesin cuci merupakan salah satu beban induktif, menggunakan motor sebagai
penggerak utama yang dibuat dengan lilitan kawat (kumparan) dibutuhkan oleh
alat listrik tersebut untuk menciptakan medan magnet untuk dapat bekerja. Untuk
itu haruslah dilakukan perbaikan faktor daya dengan cara memasang kapasitor
bank. Kapasitor bank merupakan peralatan yang mempunyai fungsi untuk
memperbaiki faktor daya, mengeliminasi gangguan tegangan dan mengontrol
daya reaktif. Ini bertujuan untuk membuat daya reaktif menjadi seminimal
mungkin. Dengan perbaikan faktor daya yang menedekati cos φ (phi) = 1 maka
didapat pemakaian daya listrik yang optimum. Dengan begitu maka dapat
mengoptimasi pemakaian daya istrik berlangganan ke PLN. Penelitian ini
bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh dari pemasangan kapasitor bank pada mesin cuci.
Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen yaitu mengukur terlebih
dahulu mesin cuci sebelum menggunakan kapasitor, yang mana dari besaranbesaran
listrik yang didapat akan digunakan sebagai acuan untuk menentukan
nilai kapasitor bank. Selanjutnya setelah pemasangan kapasitor bank, yaitu
mengukur nilai dari parameter kelistrikan yang ditampilkan pada alat ukur.
Kemudian melakukan Analisa terhadap hasil sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan
kapasitor bank. Hasil dari penggunaan kapasitor bank pada mesin cuci ini terlihat
faktor daya meningkat dari 0,87 menjadi 0,95 dan 0,90 menjadi 0,95. Akibat dari
meningkatnya faktor daya menyebabkan pemakaian daya pada mesin cuci
menurun. Dampaknya pemakaian daya listrik dapat dimaksimalkan Karena
peningkatan faktor daya yang dilakukan
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Studi Analisis Kemampuan Self Healing Concrete Dengan Menggunakan Media Bakteri Bacillus Sp
Concrete is a major building material that is often used in the construction of buildings such as factories, long-term storage facilities, bridges, and other similar structures. In addition to concrete quality issues, there are several other factors that can arise during the concrete manufacturing process, such as possible cracking that occurs after the concrete has hardened. Concrete cracks are very difficult to eliminate as they can negatively impact the porosity and permeability of the material. Self healing concrete was developed as an innovative method to treat crack damage independently. One of the bacterial media in the self-healing concrete method is Bacillus Sp. Bacillus SP bacteria will be reacted with urea and CaCl2 which will produce CaCl3 which will close the cracks in the concrete. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using Bacillus SP bacteria on compressive strength and split tensile strength, to determine the effect of Bacillus SP bacteria on the compressive strength of concrete after cracking, to determine the physical form of concrete using Bacillus SP bacteria as seen from the results of SEM (Scanning Electronic Microscope) testing. This research uses the method of calculating concrete mix (mix design) based on SNI 7656: 2012. The study used 15 cylinder samples. This method is done by adding Bacillus SP bacteria. The percentage of bacteria is 10% of the weight of cement. Based on the research, the compressive strength value with a mixture of bacillus sp bacteria 10% of the weight of cement decreased from normal concrete. The compressive strength value of normal concrete is 18.78 Mpa to 12.55 Mpa after adding bacillus sp bacteria with a percentage decrease from normal concrete of -33.17%. The split tensile strength value of concrete with the addition of bacillus sp bacteria increased from the normal concrete split tensile strength of 0.22 Kg/cm² to 0.26 Kg/cm² after the addition of bacillus sp bacteria with a percentage increase of 18.18%. The results of the compressive strength value of concrete with a mixture of bacillus sp bacteria with a percentage of 10% of the weight of cement after cracking increased the compressive strength value of normal concrete, namely for normal concrete of 18.78 Mpa while for concrete with a mixture of bacillus sp bacteria of 12.55 Mpa with a percentage decrease of 33.17% from normal concrete. The compressive strength value of concrete with a mixture of bacillus sp bacteria after cracking is obtained a higher value than un-cracked concrete, which is 24.35 Mpa for concrete that has been cracked. The un-cracked concrete is 29.66% lower than the normal concrete. Scanning Electronic Microscope (SEM) test results of concrete added with Bacillus sp bacteria showed needle-shaped bacterial cells. Bacillus sp bacteria can live and multiply in concrete to form a pile of lime substance that adheres to concrete. Whereas in normal concrete there are no visible bacterial cells or piles of lime

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
