The Effect of Dividend Policy to the Stock Prices Movement at the Ex-Dividend Day (Evidence from the Indonesian Stock Market)
This study aims to examine the influence of dividend policy to the stock prices movement at the ex-dividend day in the Indonesian stock market. The research sample includes companies listed on KOMPAS 100 Index with the data gathered from 2018 to 2022. The analysis is conducted using E- views 12, resulting the negative and significant impact of dividend yield to the stock prices movement at the ex-dividend day. However, other independent variables including dividend growth, firm board, and free float, are found to have no significant influence on the stock prices movements at the ex-dividend day. Furthermore, the market index is found to moderate the relationship between dividend yield and dividend growth toward the stock prices movement at the ex-dividend day. This research indicates a large presence of short-term investors in the Indonesian stock market, supporting the Bird in Hand Theory from Gordon (1959) which asserts that investors prefer to the dividend payment over apotential capital gain
Religious freedom in the teachings of John Paul II
The article presents a discussion of the most important teachings of John Paul II on religious freedom. Following the papal thought, the Author concentrates particularly on the criticism of religious persecution and discrimination, underlining the meaning of the discussed freedom as the most basic human right, stemming from dignity of a human being. He also points out the catalogue of particular rights stemming from religious freedom, formed by the Polish Pope. John Paul II is presented not as a faithful and creative continuer of the Second Vatican Council, expressed in the Declaration on religious freedom Dignitatishumanae, but also as one of the real coauthors of this document.
Exacerbation of pemphigus after influenza vaccination
Pemphigus is a rare autoimmune disease characterized by flaccid blisters and erosions on skin and mucous epithelia. A critical event in its pathogenesis is production of antidesmoglein antibodies, which mediate the loss of intercellular adhesion in epithelia, leading to blister formation. Multiple environmental factors (ultraviolet radiation, trauma, drugs, infective agents) have been suggested as possible triggers of pemphigus. Occasionally, the disease has been reported to follow viral and bacterial vaccination. We describe a patient who experienced exacerbation of pemphigus shortly after administration of the influenza vaccination on two separate occasions. We review the literature, suggest possible explanations for a causal relationship, and discuss the administration of vaccination to these patients. © 2008 The Author(s)

Grade Language Heterogeneity in Simulation Models of Peer Review
Simulation models have proven to be valuable tools for studying peer review processes. However, the effects of some of these models’ assumptions have not been tested, nor have these models been examined in comparative contexts. In this paper, we address two of these assumptions which go in tandem: (1) on the granularity of the evaluation scale, and (2) on the homogeneity of the grade language (i.e. whether reviewers interpret evaluation grades in the same fashion). We test the consequences of these assumptions by extending a well-known agent-based model of author and reviewer behaviour with discrete evaluation scales and reviewers’ interpretation of the grade language. In this way, we compare a peer review model with a homogeneous grade language, as assumed in most models of peer review, with a more psychologically realistic model where reviewers interpret the grades of the evaluation scale heterogeneously. We find that grade language heterogeneity can indeed affect the predictions of a model of peer review.Science Foundation Irelan
