Gitar Dalam Karya Digital Painting
Full text linkThis work aims to visualize the problems of adolescents experienced by the author through the image of a guitar which is used as a metaphor in digital painting works. The hope of this work is to improve the messages contained, to be able to inspire and provide support to teenagers who find it difficult to deal with problems. With this work, the author seeks to raise awareness of the importance of mutual understanding and provide space to talk about sensitive issues in the youth environment. The method of creating this work follows five stages, namely: preparation, in which the author makes observations and explorations to find inspiration. Then, at the elaboration stage, relevant references are collected and searched. The third stage, synthesis, involves applying the ideas and main ideas that have been generated. Furthermore, at the concept realization stage, the final work is made based on the previously designed concept. Finally, at the completion stage, the work is exhibited and a report is created covering the entire process from start to finish. In creating works, the author uses the Krita application as a technique in making digital painting works. Each work features a guitar object consisting of 10 works with the titles, "Break up", "Abandoned", "Stuck", "Confused", Depression", "Social Media", "Frenzy", Academic", "Bully", and “trapped
Generasi Sandwich Dalam Karya Digital Painting
Full text linkFenomena generasi sandwich muncul sebagai dampak dari dinamika sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat, di mana individu harus menanggung beban finansial dua generasi sekaligus, yaitu orang tua dan anak-anak. Kurangnya perencanaan keuangan jangka panjang menyebabkan individu dalam posisi ini kehilangan kesempatan untuk fokus pada perencanaan masa depan pribadi mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merepresentasikan perjuangan dan tekanan psikologis yang dialami oleh generasi sandwich melalui media digital painting. Metode yang digunakan dalam penciptaan karya seni ini mengikuti lima tahapan proses penciptaan, yaitu tahap persiapan, elaborasi, sintesis, realisasi konsep, dan penyelesaian. Visualisasi menggunakan figur stickman dengan kepala terpisah dari tubuh, melambangkan beban pikiran, krisis identitas, dan konflik batin yang dialami. Hasil dari proses penciptaan ini menghasilkan sepuluh karya dua dimensi yang menggambarkan emosi dan dinamika hidup generasi sandwich dalam bentuk metafora visual, yaitu: (1) Lompatan Kehidupan, (2) Pengorbanan Tak Terlihat, (3) Mendaki Harapan, (4) Seni Penyeimbangan, (5) Kenapa Harus Aku?, (6) Tarikan Waktu, (7) Cita-Cita, (8) Self Reward, (9) Perubahan, dan (10) Birrul Walidain. Karya-karya ini diharapkan dapat menjadi media reflektif dan apresiatif terhadap perjuangan kelompok sosial tersebut sekaligus meningkatkan kesadaran publik akan fenomena yang sering terabaikan ini

Full text linkPenciptaan karya akhir bertujuan untuk memvisualisasikan sosok ibu dan peran seorang ibu dalam kehidupan sehari hari, bagaimana manusia hendaknya tidak boleh durhaka terhadap orang tua terutama ibu, yang rela bertaruh nyawa untuk melahirkan hingga pengobanan - pengorbanan dalam membesarkan anak anaknya. Ide penciptaan karya ini adalah bagaimana visualisasi sosok ibu dalam karya akhir ini ada beberapa tahapan: (1) Persiapan, (2) Elaborasi, (3) Sintesis, (4) Realisasi Konsep, (5) Penyelesaian. Hasil dari pembahasan yaitu tentang mengingat sosok ibu, ketulusan, pengorbanan dan kasih sayang seorang ibu terhadap anaknya. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Full text linkTujuan pembuatan karya ini untuk memvisualisasikan berbagai permasalahan kehidupan yang menimbulkan stres dan kecemasan, serta mengekspresikannya dalam bentuk karya seni yang dapat menjadi wadah bagi emosi dan pikiran. Harapan dari karya ini adalah meningkatkan kesadaran diri seseorang untuk memperbaiki dirinya, serta meningkatkan pengetahuan dan memperkaya ide-ide dalam mewujudkan karya digital painting dengan cara ungkap yang berbeda. Ada beberapa tahapan yang dilaksanakan sesuai dengan metode yang digunakan dalam penciptaan karya, yaitu: 1).Persiapan merupakan tahap awal dalam penciptaan sebuah karya seni mulai dari mencari sebuah ide dan gagasan. 2).Elaborasi, merupakan gagasan pokok yang telah ditetapkan nantinya akan dituangkan pada sebuah karya digital painting. 3).Sintesis, merupakan langkah-langkah dalam pembuatan karya. 4).Realisasi Konsep merupakan tahap proses dalam berkarya dan. 5). Penyelesaian, merupakan tahap akhir dalam berkarya. Secara keseluruhan karya ini menyampaikan permasalahan kecemasan pikiran dalam kehidupan yang penulis alami. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
Full text linkWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
