Experimental study of electro-mechanical dual acting pulley continuously variable transmission ratio calibration
This paper presents an experimental study of Electro-mechanical Dual Acting Pulley (EMDAP) Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) ratio calibration. When there is no slip between belt and pulley sheaves, the CVT ratio will be the same as the geometrical ratio of secondary to primary pulley radii as well as the primary to secondary speed ratio. In EMDAP CVT system, both primary and secondary DC motors are used to control the primary and secondary axial pulley positions to vary the primary and secondary pulley radii. In this case, the pulley radii can be measured indirectly using axial pulley position sensors. Calibration process is carried out by manually adjusting the geometrical ratio of secondary to primary radii based on measurements of primary and secondary pulley positions and validated with the primary to secondary speed ratio determined from primary (input) and secondary (output) shaft speed measurements for the CVT ratio range of 0.7 to 2.0. The calibration results are recorded and used as reference data for future EMDAP CVT calibration and ratio control developments
Reinterpretation of Bambang Sumatri Story in Sujiwo Tejo’s Graphic Novel Serat Tripama: Gugur Cinta di Maespati
This paper aims to analyze the reinterpret the story of Bambang Sumantri in Sujiwo Tejo’s graphic novel Serat Tripama: Gugur Cinta di Maespati. The meaning of heroism in this novel was reexamined through various doubts, unawareness, and wonder of Bambang Sumantri. The data were collected through reading, observing, and taking notes. The data were analyzed with the semiotic method. The interpretation is done by interpreting changes through looking at the relationship between the signifier and the signified within which the implicit, indirect, and uncertain meanings operate, by interpreting the meanings hiddeng behind the words, phrases, and sentences that are called connotative meanings (second layer) by semiotics. The reinterpretation on this graphic novel shows that in addition to Bambang Sumantri depicted as truly heroic, there are many other “hands” who helped him become a figure and hero. The heroism of Bambang Sumantri is not the center of this book. Instead, there are also other figures who made him a hero. Therefore, the author reinterpreted the heroism of Bambang Sumantri from different point of view.This paper aims to analyze the transformation of Bambang Sumatri in Sujiwo Tejo’s graphic novel Serat Tripama: Gugur Cinta di Maespati. The goal of the study is to discuss the reinterpretation of Wayang (shadow puppet) story into the graphic novel. The story of Bambang Sumantri is one of the three epic stories in Serat Tripama (three role models) written by KGPAA Mangkunegara IV (1809-1881). Serat Tripama is tembang (song) Dandanggula which consists of seven stanzas telling about Bambang Sumantri, Kumbakarna, and Adipati Karna’s heroism which serves as role model for every warrior. Sujiwo Tejo transformed the three of the stories into graphic novels in which Bambang Sumantri is the central character of the first book entitled Serat Tripama: Gugur Cinta di Maespati which was first published in February 2016. The story of Maespati Kingdom’s duke becomes the first of three books as per the order of the tembang: the first and the second stanzas narrate the heroism of Bambang BS, the third and the forth tell about Kumbakarna, the fifth and the sixth tell about Adipati Karna, while the last serves as the conclusion. The transformation in this graphic novel shows that Bambang BS is not always depicted as truly heroic, but also shows many other “hands” which made him the figure and hero. The heroism of Bambang BS is not the center of this book, instead there are also other figures who made him as hero. Peningkatan Kinerja Pengaturan Lampu Lalu Lintas Metode Statis Berdasarkan Metode Dinamis.
The main problems of big cities like Jakarta is the traffic congestion caused by traffic light settings are set to use static methods. In static methods, traffic lights arranged with a predetermined time for each traffic flow across the intersection of four roads. To solve this problem, analyzes the traffic light settings for static methods and simulation programs will be designed with traffic light settings using the dynamic method with the help of the Java Software Development Kit version 1.5. This simulation program will compare the average waiting time of vehicles is governed by traffic lights with a static method, dynamic method. From this simulation test program concluded that its traffic light settings with a static method can be improved by regulating the green light to obtain the average waiting time, providing optimal vehicle.Di Indonesia, sistem pengaturan lalu lintas kendaraan yang saat ini diterapkan adalah sistem pengaturan lalu lintas metode statis dimana waktu untuk setiap fase telah ditentukan sebelumnya. Sistem pengaturan lalu lintas metode statis masih belum efektif mengatasi kemacetan lalu lintas. Ketidakefektifan ini disebabkan sistem pengaturan lalu lintas metode statis tidak mempertimbangkan kondisi kepadatan lalu lintas. Revolutionary struggle in order to compete for the independence of Indonesia has been a source of inspiration Indonesian artists, including Bambang Soelarto who wrote drama Domba-domba Re- volusi (DDR). DDR studied drama is quite interesting because it tries to criticize the freedom fight- ers. This study aims to: first to know the theme and the problem plays DDR; second to determine the relationship of the socio - historical struggle in 1948 with the sociological elements of drama DDR themes and issues. This study uses sociological theory of art. The basic principles of the sociology of art is the fact that the creation of works of art influenced by the historical social conditions where the work was created. Research using content analysis of Krippendorf, the methods used to examine the symbolic phenomena with the aim to explore and express the observed phenomenon which is the content, meaning, and an essential element of the literary work. Based results of this research is that Bambang Soelarto as the author tries to capture di?erence between fighters during the struggle for the political aspirations for 1948 are expressed in a work of drama. Historical events inspired the creation of drama DDR. Soelarto want to respond to the political aspirations of the di?erence between historical figures and wanted to provide an assessment and outlook through DDR

Pengubah Pulsa Digital ke Tegangan untuk Sensor Kecepatan Putaran Berbasis Mikrokontroller Arduino
Pengubah Pulsa Digital ke Tegangan Untuk Sensor Kecepatan Putaran Berbasis Mikrokontroller Arduino adalah alat yang dirancang sebagai sensor putaran yang keluarannya adalah tegangan yang merepresentasikan dari jumlah putaran yang dinyatakan dalam rpm (Rotasi per Menit). Dengan menggunakan metoda penelitian berupa rancang bangun, sistem yang dibangun terdiri dari Mikrokontroller Arduino dan IC Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) seri MPC4921. Proses pengubahan pulsa digital menjadi tegangan dilakukan oleh Mikrokontroller Arduino melalui pemrograman pada Arduino, dengan cara pulsa-pulsa digital, dapat dari putaran motor, dan lainnya, diterima sebagai masukan oleh Arduino. Selanjutnya melalui program, pulsa-pulsa tersebut diubah menjadi data digital. Data digital tersebut selanjutnya diubah menjadi tegangan analog oleh Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) yang nilainya sebanding dengan jumlah putaran. Pengujian alat dilakukan dengan menggunakan jumlah pulsa per putaran (pulse per revolution, ppr) yang berbeda, antara lain 1 ppr sensor, 6 ppr sensor dan 60 ppr sensor dan 360 ppr sensor untuk setiap nilai rpm yang berbeda. Selanjutnya data tersebut diubah menjadi tegangan analog yang hasilnya dibaca melalui voltmeter digital. Dari hasil pengujian yang dilakukan untuk setiap jumlah ppr terhadap putaran rpm per satuan tegangan (volt), dengan data pengujian sebanyak 60 diperoleh nilai kesalahan sebesar 0,13%

Rancang Bangun Sensor Cahaya Pendeteksi Api Pada Robot Cerdas Pemadam Api Politeknik Negeri Semarang
Light sensor for fire detection has a significant role in Inteligent Fire Fighting Robot, because the detection result of the sensor is used to detect the availabilty of the fire source (candle light) in a room. If the fire is detected, then the robot will move to the fire source and finally extinguish the fire. A photo transistor which is sensitive to infra red light is used as the sensor. The objective of the research is to test the photo transistor circuit and to observe the voltage response of the emitter pin of the photo transistor with respect to the fire for various distances from 10 cm to 100 cm. The collector pin of the photo transistor is connected to +5 Volt power supply, while the emitter part is connected to ground via the emitter resistor (Re). The emitter voltage of the phoro transistor is read via Analog Input Pin A0 of Arduino UNO. This voltage represents the strength level of the fire detected by the photo transistor. The data communication between Arduino UNO and computer is serially established via USB port. The data logging process is performed using Matlab/Simulink. Arduino UNO microcontroller is used to process the data such that the correlation between the sensor voltage and the sensor distance from the fire source can be identified. Theexperimental results show that the use of emitter resistor (Re) 10 kOhm has the best voltage response with respect to the fire source for the distance of 10 cm to 60 cm, compared to Re = 4k7 Ohm (for distance from 15 cm hingga 30 cm) and Re = 22k Ohm (for distance of 10 cm hingga 35 cm). As a result, the combination of photo transistor and resistor (Re) of 10 kOhm can be applied for fire detection circuit for the distance up to 60 cm.Keywords : arduino uno, photo sensor, fire senso
