Problem Solving Learning Model in Improving Civic Education Learning Outcomes in Supian Private Vocational School
Get PDFThis study aimed to assess the academic performance of Class XI2 students enrolled at Supian Private Vocational School located in Silangkitang Building. The research methodology employed was classroom action research, focusing on students from Class XI2 at Supian Pembangunan Silangkitang Private Vocational School. The study utilized the Kurt Lewin model, consisting of four cycles: planning, implementing actions, observation, and evaluation. Data collection methods included observation and testing. In the initial cycle, the average observation score indicated a low level of student engagement, with only 31.14% of students categorized as actively participating. However, in the subsequent cycle, this figure increased to 65.4%, demonstrating significant improvement in student activity following the implementation of the problem-solving learning model. Moreover, in the third cycle, the percentage of students achieving the required level of proficiency reached 84.2%, surpassing the 80% benchmark. Consequently, students in Class XI Semester II at Supian Private Vocational School in Silangkitang Building achieved satisfactory academic results

Get PDFBuilding automation system (BAS) is a programmed, computerized and intelligent network of electronic devices to make an easier work for the staff or technician to monitor, control and operate other building services such as air conditioning, electrics, fire protection, lifts, security and plumbing system. By using the BASthe energy saving can be achieved and using less staff compare to the conventional system. Although the BAS can give benefit, but the installation of the BAS needs a high expenditure, require specialist, proper planning and maintenance for this system. But not all BAS installations are successful, because of several factors such as lack of planning, lack of maintenance and the obsolete system will contribute the BAS failure to running. This academic project will focus on the operation of the BAS, factor of successful and failure of BAS. The method of this study involved literature review, structure interview and base on the case study. This academic project will use a structure interview to collect a data and the data from the interview session will be analysis to acquire the finding. From there the operation of BAS, factor of failure for each case study will be identifying. Finally the study ends with a chapter on conclusion are provide on this topic

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran
kooperatif tipe Talking Chip terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Pelaksanaan penelitian
ini dilakukan di SMK 6 Negeri Bandung Jl.Sukarno Hatta ( Riung Bandung),
bulan November 2012 hingga bulan Mei 2013. Metode penelitian yang dipakai
yaitu quasi eksperimen, sampel diambil secara random sampling dari 60 siswa
dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok, yaitu kelas kontrol sebanyak 30 siswa/i dan kelas
eksperimen sebanyak 30 siswa/i. Instrumen yang pakai yaitu instrumen tes hasil
belajar berbentuk soal essay. Hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen yang
menggunakan model Talking Chip lebih tinggi dengan (rata- rata = 77,17 dan
simpangan baku/Sd = 11,35) daripada kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model
pembelajaran konvensional dengan (rata- rata = 68.67 dan simpangan baku/ SD =
12,66) dan dari hasil perhitungan uji "T diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 2.739,
sedangkan ttabel pada taraf signiftkansi 95% dengan u = 0,05 sebesar 2,00 atau
thitung > ttabel.
Maka dapat tarik disimpulkan dari hasil analisis menolak Ho yang
menyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara penerapan pembelajaran dengan
model kooperatif teknik Talking Chips terhadap hasil belajar mata diklat Ilmu
Bahan Bangunan dan Ilmu Bangunan Gedung (IBB dan IBG) diterima atau
disetujui. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa eksperimen model pembelajaran kooperatif
tipe Talking Chips memberikan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap
hasil belajar kayu pada mata diklat IBB dan IBG.

No full textPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh manajemen strategi terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di SMKS Yayasan Pendidikan Supian Membangun Silangkitang. Rumusan masalah yang diangkat mencakup bagaimana dan sejauh mana manajemen strategi berkontribusi terhadap kualitas pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 61 siswa, yang ditentukan melalui rumus Slovin. Variabel bebas (X) adalah manajemen strategi, sedangkan variabel terikat (Y) adalah kualitas pendidikan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan persamaan Y = 40,088 + 0,355X, dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 37,9% dan nilai determinasi (R²) sebesar 14,3%. Temuan ini mengindikasikan adanya pengaruh signifikan manajemen strategi terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah pentingnya penguatan manajemen strategi di sekolah melalui evaluasi visi dan misi, pelibatan tenaga pendidik dalam pengambilan kebijakan, serta kerja sama dengan industri dan masyarakat. Penelitian ini juga merekomendasikan agar studi selanjutnya memperluas cakupan variabel dan populasi, serta mengeksplorasi faktor lain seperti budaya sekolah, kepemimpinan transformasional, dan motivasi kerja guru untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif mengenai faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kualitas pendidikan.
The Influence of Strategic Management on the Improvement of Education Quality at SMKS Yayasan Pendidikan Supian Membangun Silangkitang
Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of strategic management on improving the quality of education at SMKS Yayasan Pendidikan Supian Membangun Silangkitang. The research questions focus on how and to what extent strategic management contributes to educational quality. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, involving 61 student respondents selected using the Slovin formula. The independent variable (X) is strategic management, while the dependent variable (Y) is educational quality. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The results of a simple linear regression analysis yielded the equation Y = 40.088 + 0.355X, with a correlation coefficient of 37.9% and a determination coefficient (R²) of 14.3%. These findings indicate a significant influence of strategic management on the quality of education. The study implies that schools should continue to strengthen their strategic management practices through regular evaluations of their vision and mission, involving teachers and staff in policy formulation, and enhancing collaboration with industries and the community. Future researchers are encouraged to expand the scope of variables and sample size and to explore other influencing factors such as school culture, transformational leadership, and teacher motivation to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the determinants of educational quality

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
