Kepentingan Rusia Dibalik Penjualan Alat Utama Sistem Persenjataan ke
International politics constellation in the Middle East after the cold war put the United States as the
country with the strongest influence. The dominance of the influence of the United States then had
implications to threats other major country interests, namely Russia. Therefore, various attempts were
made by Russia to build its influence in the region. The initial step of Russia is to establish a strategic
relationship with Egypt with sales of main weaponry system when Egypt experienced defense aid freeze
by the United States. The sales of main weaponry system is the first since the cold war era and marks
the return of Russia as an influential actor by changing the position of Egypt which previously an ally
of the United States. This study seeks to analyze the interests of Russia against Egypt in sales of main
weaponry system by using descriptive qualitative research methods. Results of the study concluded that

PERAN DIPLOMASI BUDAYA DAN KOMUNIKASI
This research explores about the role of cultural diplomacy and communication in
increasing of international investment in South Africa after FIFA World Cup 2010.
Due to the success in hosting FIFA World Cup 2010, the economy of South Africa
that only had several foreign investment in some company and franchise on that
country, now have many foreign investment and becomes the only country in Africa
on the top destinations for foreign investment index list of 25, coming ahead from
some European country like Switzerland, Spain, and Italy. This research is using a
descriptive qualitative method that will show some information from many source.
The result of some research show that the increasing international investment in
South Africa after FIFA World Cup 2010 is because the law in South Africa makes
it easy to foreign investors to invest their money in their country, the crime rate in
minimized by the South Africa government, South African politics doesn’t affecting
the economics, and there is nothing excessive protests about regarding of the
foreign investor to South Africa but allow them to invest in their country. Based on
that result, this article will explores about the role of cultural diplomacy and
communication which is so important in increasing of foreign investment in South
Africa

This study aims to provide empirical evidence regarding corporate governance and
carbon emission disclosure on firm value with financial performance as a
mediating variable with a unit of analysis of manufacturing industry, the mining
sector, the agricultural sector, and the service subsector listed on the Indonesia
Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period of 2016 – 2017. The data used in this study
are secondary data in the form of annual reports and company sustainability
reports. Sample collection was done by purposive sampling method so that 120
companies were obtained with the total observation of 240 data which then after
an outlier test the data in this study amounted to 216 data. The analysis used is
descriptive statistical analysis and path analysis with SPSS 24 and AMOS 24 as the
analysis tools
The results in this study indicate that: (a) corporate governance has a significant
negative effect on firm value; (b) carbon emission disclosure has a significant
positive effecton firm value; (c) ROA has a positive and significant effect on firm
value; (d) corporate governance has a significant negative effect on ROA; (e)
carbon emission disclosure has no effect on ROA; (f) ROA can competitively
mediate the relationship between corporate governance and firm value; and (g)
ROA cannot mediate the relationship between carbon emission disclosure to firm
value.

Pengaruh Preheated Terhadap Kekuatan Tekan Material R. 42 Di Daerah Pengaruh Panas (HAZ)

Penelitian ini menggunakan empat variasi, yaitu pengelasan non
preheated, preheated 1400 C, preheated 3400 C, dan preheated 5400 C serta
kelompok kontrol raw materials. Bahan yang digunakan material R.42, elektroda
jenis E 10016-G dengan kampuh V terbuka sudut 700, posisi pengelasan mendatar
bawah tangan. Spesimen sesuai dengan standar ASTM No E190, pengujian tekan
dilakukan tiga kali setiap kelompok. Sebelum pengujian tekan dilakukan uji
komposisi dan kekerasan vickers sebagai pendukung data. Pengujian tekan di
daerah HAZ menggunakan mesin bending tester.
Hasil eksperimen menunjukan data kekerasan vickers, kekuatan tekan dan
kekuatan luluh material R.42 kelompok spesimen non preheated, preheated 1400
C, preheated 3400 C, dan preheated 5400 C pada HAZ serta raw materials. Nilai
kekerasan raw materials R.42 adalah VHN sebesar 276,38 Kg/mm2, kekerasan
pada daerah HAZ pengelasan non preheated adalah VHN sebesar 256,48,
kekerasan pada daerah HAZ pengelasan preheated 1400 C adalah VHN sebesar
224,58 Kg/mm2, kekerasan vickers pada daerah HAZ pengelasan preheated 3400
C adalah VHN sebesar 292,41 Kg/mm2, kekerasan pada daerah HAZ pengelasan
preheated 5400 C adalah VHN sebesar 265,82 Kg/mm2. Kekuatan tekan
kelompok raw materials sebesar 2,211 kN/mm2. Kekuatan tekan daerah HAZ
spesimen pengelasan non preheated sebesar 0876 kN/mm2 yang berarti
mengalami penurunan 60,38% dari raw materials, pengelasan preheated 1400 C
sebesar 1,032 kN/mm2 yang berarti mengalami penurunan 53,33% dari raw
materials, pengelasan preheated 3400 C sebesar 1,254 kN/mm2 yang berarti juga
mengalami penurunan 43,29% dari raw materials, pengelasan preheated 5400 C
sebesar 1,085 kN/mm2 yang berarti juga mengalami penurunan 50,9% dari raw
materials. Kekuatan luluh kelompok spesimen raw materials sebesar 0,644
kN/mm2, kekuatan luluh pengelasan non preheated sebesar 0,291 kN/mm2,
kekuatan luluh pengelasan preheated 1400 C sebesar 0,300 kN/mm2, kekuatan
luluh pengelasan preheated 3400 C sebesar 0,519 kN/mm2, kekuatan luluh
pengelasan an preheated 5400 C sebesar 0,466 kN/mm2.
Berdasarkan kajian data hasil penelitian, agar didapat kualitas hasil
pengelasan yang baik maka perlu dilakukan prosedur pengelasan dengan
preheated sebesar 3400 C karena dengan preheated yang sesuai dapat
memperbaiki struktur serta mengurangi tegangan dalam akibat pengaruh panas
saat pengelasan sehingga dihasilkan kuat tekan dan kekerasan bahan yang baik

KAJIAN PROBABILISTIK JATUHAN ABU VULKANIK TERHADAP TAPAK PLTN MURIA.Telah dilakukan kajian probabilistik terhadap bahaya akibat jatuhan material piroklastik dari letusan hipotetik Gunung Muria di area tapak PLTN Semenanjung Muria. Tujuan kajian adalah untuk mendapatkan distribusi deposisi abu vulkanik dan nilai kebolehjadiannya di ULA terkait daya dukung beton pengungkung PLTN. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah melakukan simulasi dengan masukan data sekunder parameter letusan erupsi gunung Merapi tahun 2010 (terbatasnya data letusan Muria), dan data meteorologi sekunder berupa data rerata harian hasil olahan data pemantauan di ULA periode 1994-1995. Simulasi dilakukan berdasarkan metode skenario batas atas menggunakan kode komputer Tephra2. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa distribusi abu vulkanik dominan mengarah ke arah Timur Laut – Barat Daya. Nilai kebolehjadian untuk beban > 1 kg/m2 adalah kurang dari 5%, sedangkan untuk beban > 10 kg/m2 adalah kurang dari 1%. Jatuhan abu vulkanik akibat letusan Gunung Muria tidak membahayakan struktur bangunan PLTN yang akan dibangun di ULA.Keywords:probabilistik, tephra, skenario batas atas
PERSEPSI SISWA TENTANG PENCITRAAN SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUAN (SMK) DI KABUPATEN TRENGGALEK
Objective of this research is to identity the result of image projection at vocational schools in Trenggalek Regency. Population of this research is students at the Third grade of Vocational Schools in Trenggalek Regency the Academic Year of 2007/2008 with samples of 267. Results of the research reveal facts that most of the respondents have perception (1) structure, vision and mission, as well as goal of the schools that conform to need and expectation of the students, (2) professionalism of the teachers at schools conform to need and expectation of the students, (3) goal of the expertise program conform to the student’s need, (4) training and education system at vocational schools conform to the student’s expectation, (5) product and merit at the schools conform to the student’s need.
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keberhasilan pencitraan SMK di Kabupaten Trenggalek. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas tiga dari sekolah kejuruan di Trenggalek pada tahun akademik 2007/2008 dengan sampel sejumlah 267 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hampir seluruh responden mempunyai anggapan (1) struktur, visi, misi, dan tujuan dari sekolah memenuhi kebutuhan dan harapan dari siswa, (2) profesionalisme guru sekolah memenuhi kebutuhan dan harapan dari siswa, (3) tujuan program keahlian telah memenuhi kebutuhan siswa, (4) pelatihan dan sistem pendidkan pada sekolah kejuruan memenuhi harapan siswa, dan (5) hasil dan luaran dari sekolah kejuruan memenuhi kebutuhan siswa

PEMUTAKHIRAN PERHITUNGAN DESAIN BASIS CURAH HUJAN SEMENANJUNG MURIA MENGGUNAKAN PROGRAM BESTFIT
ABSTRAK PEMUTAKHIRAN PERHITUNGAN DESAIN BASIS CURAH HUJAN SEMENANJUNG MURIA MENGGUNAKAN PROGRAM BESTFIT. Studi penghitungan nilai desain basis curah hujan yang telah dilakukan mengasumsikan bahwa nilai curah hujan maksimum (mm/hari) untuk daerah Beji, Bangsri, Jepara, Balong, dan Jatisari mengikuti distribusi nilai ekstrim (Extreme Value Distribution) tipe I atau distribusi Gumbel. Pada kajian pemutakhiran ini distribusi data teriebih dahulu ditentukan menggunakan program BestFit Versi 4.5 dari Palisade, (www.palisade.com). Program ini merupakan program evaluasi dengan masa pakai 10 hari. Hasil eksekusi program menghasilkan distribusi yang cocok serta pemeringkatannya berdasarkan uji kesesuaian Chi-square, Andersong-Darling (A-D), atau Komolgorov-Smimov (K-S). Diperoleh hasil bahwa tidak semua data mengikuti distribusi nilai ekstrim. Tes A-D dan K-S menghasilkan jenis distribusi yang hampir sama dan dipilih karena tidak mempersyaratkan jumlah data yang besar dan tersegmentasi seperti Chi-square. Hasil perhitungan desain basis curah-hujan (mm/hari) adalah 285 (Bangsri), 285 (Beji), 203 (Jatisari), 248 (Jepara), dan 255 (Keling). Persentasi perbedaan dengan perhitungan terdahulu berkisar 2 s/d 25% yang berarti bahwa penentuan distribusi data yang tepat dapat berpengaruh cukup besar terhadap ketepatan prediksi nilai desain basis curah hujan. ABSTRACT PRECIPITATION DESIGN BASIS CALCULATION UPDATING USING BESTFIT PROGRAM. The current study on the calculation of design basis value for precipitation has been based on an assumption that the maximum daily precipitation (mm/day or mm/24-hour) for regions in Beji, Bangsri, Jepara, Balong and Jatisari follows Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) distribution of Type 1 or also known as Gumbel Distribution. This study update the distribution through BestFit 4.5 program available as a trial version from Palisade (www.palisade.com). This is a 10-day evaluation program. Upon execution, the program outputs the most fitting distribution according to one of the Chi-square, Anderson-Darling (A-D), or Komolgorov-Smimov (K-S) tests. It is found that not all data follows GEV distribution. A-D and K-S tests resulted in similar result and the K-S test was finally chosen as the most suitable one as it does not require a large number of data and not particularly sensitive to segmentation of data. The result of the design basis calculation (mm/day) is 285 (Bangsri), 285 (Beji), 203 (Jatisari), 248 (Jepara) and 255 (Keling). Percentage difference ranging from 2 to 25 %, which means that the accuracy in determining the data distribution could significantly affect the prediction of design basis for precipitation
