Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Kepuasan konsumen sangat penting dalam menentukan pertumbuhan suatu perusahaan, apabila konsumen sudah merasakan adanya kepuasan terhadap layanan yang diberikan oleh suatu perusahaan, ini merupakan suatu peluang baik bagi perusahaan untuk mendapatkan laba yang optimal tidak hanya itu saja tetapi perusahaan juga dapat tetap bertahan di tengah persaingan yang sangat ketat. Begitupun dalam perkembangan hypermarket dengan format ritel dewasa ini, persaingan diantara hypermarket tidak dapat dihindarkan. Salah satu pemainnya adalah Carrefour, yang merupakan hypermarket yang pertumbuhannya sangat pesat. Perkembangan hypermarket dikarenakan hypermarket memiliki berbagai keunggulan dibanding pasar tradisional, baik dalam hal produk maupun segi layanannya yang bagus, karena konsumen dewasa ini tidak hanya membutuhkan produk inti saja tetapi konsumen juga membutuhkan sesuatu yang baru yang dapat memberikan kepuasan kepada konsumen. Misalnya : dengan memilih berbelanja di hypermarket, sesungguhnya konsumen tidak hanya ingin membeli produk saja, melainkan konsumen ingin suasana yang nyaman dan menyenangkan didalam berbelanja. Hal inilah yang membuat penulis tertarik untuk meneliti mengenai pengaruh kualitas layanan terhadap kepuasan konsumen hypermarket Carrefour. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan dan pengaruh antara kualitas layanan dengan kepuasan konsumen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian korelasional, dengan jumlah populasi 42 orang dan diambil sebagai sampel sebanyak 38 orang, dengan teknik sampel judgement sampling. Teknik analisa data menggunakan teknik korelasi product moment, analisis regresi linear dan uji t untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. The Effect of Learning Interest on The Results of Learning to Write Poetry Text using Problem Based Learning Method
No full textThis study aims to prove the effect of interest in learning with the results of learning to write poetry texts using the problem based learning method. The hypothesis tested is that there is an influence of interest in learning on writing poetry texts. The research subjects were 29 students of class VIII F MTs Negeri 2 Subang, West Java, in the 2020/2021 school year. The data comes from the results of learning to write poetry texts and the results of a learning interest questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS 25 with product moment person correlation test to determine the relationship and regression test to determine the effect. Based on the results of statistical analysis, the results of the correlation test of 89.2% showed a very strong relationship between the results of learning to write poetry texts with interest in learning. The results of the regression test also prove that interest in learning has an effect of 79.5% on learning outcomes to write poetry texts. Meanwhile, 20.5% was influenced by other factors.  ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh minat belajar dengan hasil belajar menulis teks puisi menggunakan metode problem based learning. Hipotesis yang diuji yaitu terdapat pengaruh minat belajar terhadap menulis teks puisi. Subjek penelitian adalah 29 orang siswa kelas VIII F MTs Negeri 2 Subang, Jawa Barat, tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Data bersumber dari hasil belajar menulis teks puisi dan hasil angket minat belajar. Data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS 25 dengan uji korelasi product moment person untuk mengetahui hubungan dan uji regresi untuk mengetahui pengaruh. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statsitik, hasil uji korelasi sebesar 89,2% menunjukan hubungan yang sangat kuat antara hasil belajar menulis teks puisi dengan minat belajar. Hasil uji regresi juga membuktikan minat belajar berpengaruh sebesar 79,5% terhadap hasil belajar menulis teks puisi. Sementara 20,5% itu dipengaruhi oleh faktor lainnya.Â

Bagi organisasi yang besar, tugas sekretaris juga lebih berat karena selain betugas dan bertanggung jawab terhadap pimpinannya, ia juga harus bertanggung jawab untuk mengatur dan mengawasi tugas dan kegiatan bawahannya. Proses Pembelajaran Berbasis Kompetensi dalam Mentransformasikan Kemampuan Profesional Kesekretarisan di Perguruan Tinggi, untuk melihat apakah pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi dapat menyiapkan peserta didik untuk memasuki dunia kerja serta mengembangkan sikap professional. Bagaimana proses pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan dilihat dari kompetensi-kompetensi berdasarkan komponen-komponen pembelajaran mulai dari tujuan, materi, media, metode, dan evaluasi. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang proses pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi dalam mentransformasikan kemampuan professional kesekretarisan di Perguruan Tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa proses pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi dalam mentransformasikan kemampuan professional kesekretarisan di sekolah pada dasarnya sudah berjalan dengan baik. Komponen-komponen pembelajaran sudah tepat, namun dalam pelaksanaan pembelajarannya berkaitan dengan media perlu diupayakan agar lebih lengkap. Selanjutnya mengenai dampak dari pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi, proses pembelajaran telah memberikan perubahan pada pengetahuan, pemahaman, sikap dan perilaku peserta didik. Ini menunjukkan adanya upaya yang dilakukan walaupun hasilnya belum optimal
