Subagio Sastrowardoyo produces good structural analysis in a number of literary studies. One is the study
of Sitor Situmorang‘S poetry Sosok Pribadi dalam Sajak. The essay is submitted by Teeuw “as an example and
very precise topic” about endeavor of searching the hidden meanings in unanimity and elusive of modern poetry. In
Situmorang‘s poetry , the focus discussion of Sastrowardoyo about literature and culture is based on a reading Sosok
Pribadi dalam Sajak (SPdS), Sastra Hindia Belanda dan Kita, SHBdK dan Bakat Alam dan Intelektualisme.
Overall, the SPDs are written which prioritizes the interpretation of the inner world , psychiatric or “private figure”
author as depicted on the content of his work. Content, strong romantic and modernist understanding that puts the artist
at the center of artistic creation, has encouraged Sastrowardoyo to blur quality of assessment and work of the author
personally, and to blur the distinction between art criticism and morality criticism, and the issue of aesthetics and ethics
matters. Sharpness, accuracy, and diligence analysis are often dimmed by passion on doing “holy inquisition” against the
author. In SHBdK, Sastrowardoyo shifts away from expressive to structural approach, though he never lost interest in
the “private figure” of the author.

The poetrys of Subagio Sastrowardoyo contains the author's life view of the radical purpose of life and the shadow of death. His poems contain elements of philosophy related to human existence. This thesis uses Nietzsche's philosophy of existentialism as an assisted approach with layered norms of Roman Ingarden, to reveal its structural elements. The purpose of this thesis to reveal the form of self-existence by the author who appears implicitly in his poetry. The method used in this study is a qualitative method that uses data collection methods through literature study with the technique of refer to note. Presentation of data analysis is done using descriptive explanation analasis.
The results of the analysis in this study, as follows: the form of human self-existence contained in each poem is different, but the four poems show the same process to achieve self-existence. The realization of the existence of Subagio Sastrowardoyo is implicitly implied through the characters who play a role in poetry. The character acts as a subject in progress to become an ubermensch. The process is to follow the will of power. The entire poem shows the achievement of the subject succeeded in becoming a ubermensch after going through the dilemmas of his life. The success of ubermensh becomes absolute after he is able to accept the concept of 'the return of all things' or to submit to the purpose of life and the owner of his life.

The purpose of this study is to describe the value of responsibility character building of poems by Subagio Sastrowardoyo. This research includes descriptive qualitative research type with content analysis. Sources of data in this study book collection of Simfoni Dua by Subagio Sastrowardoyo. Techniques of collecting data using library techniques, refer method, and record. Data analysis technique uses interaction technique with stilistika approach. Based on the results of research that has been done, it is found that the value of responsibility character building are implicit in the words, phrases, and sentences, ncluding spiritual responsibility to God, social responsibility to fellow human beings, and personal responsibility to yourself. The value of responsibility character building that is contained in the poems of Subagio Sastrowardoyo is relevant to literary learning which includes the competence of knowledge and skills of appreciating and writing poetr
