Le Esperienze di Innovazione Sociale in Italia
Full text linkIl presente capitolo presenta le evidenze sulla situazione attuale e l’evoluzione negli ultimi anni dell’innovazione sociale in Italia, sulla base di
quanto emerge dal database di osservazioni costruito dal Centro di ricerche
sull’innovazione sociale della Luiss Business School.
L’innovazione sociale può essere definita come l’insieme di iniziative finalizzate al soddisfacimento di un bisogno collettivo attraverso modalità
“nuove” e migliori rispetto a quelle tradizionali
. Questa definizione si basa
sulla coesistenza di alcuni elementi distintivi i quali determinano l’emergere
di progetti sociali innovativi: si tratta della presenza di un bisogno collettivo,
della componente innovativa (relativa alle relazioni e/o alla tecnologia),
dell’impatto strutturale e della forza economica. All’origine di questi processi di innovazione esistono pressioni sociali esercitate dall’esistenza di bisogni insoddisfatti (es. servizi sanitari), di risorse sprecate (es. beni di consumo), di emergenze ambientali (es. qualità dell’aria nei centri abitati) o sociali (es. crescenti disagio e marginalità).
L’analisi riguarda 648 casi di innovazione sociale raccolti in modo sistematico dal Ceriis a partire dalla metà del 2015. In particolare, si è posto in
evidenza: la tipologia di soggetti attuatori dell’innovazione sociale e di quelli
che ne sono promotori; la rilevanza istituzionale degli attori coinvolti e le potenziali relazioni che possono instaurarsi tra differenti soggetti, quali imprese, attori pubblici, comunità e organizzazioni no profit. Sono anche evidenziate le tipologie di innovazione che si manifestano, la sostenibilità economico - finanziaria delle iniziative e come queste sono strutturate, ovvero
se sono dei progetti con un obiettivo e con un orizzonte temporale ben preciso e delineato nel tempo o delle organizzazioni ad hoc realizzate per far
fronte a questioni di innovazione sociale in maniera strutturata e duratura. Le
tematiche oggetto di studio afferiscono i contesti sociali nei quali si sviluppa
l’innovazione sociale, la sostenibilità dei progetti ed il ruolo assunto da differenti attori nei suddetti ambiti.
Il capitolo illustra i risultati emersi dallo studio del database, ponendo
particolare attenzione sui driver che vengono identificati come determinanti
l’innovazione sociale: dalle tipologie di innovazione (relazionale, tecnologica o entrambe le relazioni), alle potenzialità economico-finanziarie delle
casistiche riscontrare, alla tipologia di attore (attuatore o promotore) e alla
loro rilevanza istituzionale, fino alla tipologia di iniziativa che caratterizza
l’innovazione sociale, ovvero se è un progetto o un’organizzazione ad hoc

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
