Analyse waterrobuuste inrichting: Voor nieuwbouw en vitale & kwetsbare functies

No full text
Deltaprogramm

Co-authorship networks and scientific performance. Evidences from a case study by using different bibliographic archives

No full text
The present contribution aims at exploring the effects of collaborative behaviours on scholar scientific performance. Mainly thanks to the availability of international bibliographic archives, seminal studies in various fields have been focused on co-authorship networks as a proxy of scholars' collaborative skills. To this purpose, several data sources are available but they present some drawbacks, especially when a specific discipline or community is under analysis. For instance, international archives might not be able to cover all kinds of scientific production, especially for social sciences where papers can be published in books or in national-oriented journals. In this scenario, we gathered co-authorship data on the scientific community of Italian academic statisticians as recorded in the Italian Ministry of University and Research database at March 2010. We used three bibliographic archives covering top-international journals as well as thematic and nationally oriented publications: Web of Science (WoS), Current Index to Statistics (CIS), and bibliographic information related to nationally funded research projects (PRIN). Since each data source showed peculiar characteristics influencing both network properties and performance results, we also discussed the main issues and the practical implications on merging data sources (i.e., record linkage and author name disambiguation) improving the bibliographic data quality for reconstruct an unified co-authorship network. Both network and individual covariates are used to model individual h-index by Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) distribution. Our results provided evidence of our hypotheses on distinct collaboration patterns among statisticians, as well as distinct effects of scientist network positions on scientific performance, by both Statistics subfield and data source. Follow-up COVID-19 and lung ultrasound are fundamental to prove full recovery in children with interstitial lung disease requiring oxygen: a case report

No full text
Background: Children with mild or asymptomatic COVID-19 represent the majority of paediatric cases. Hospitalisation and critical care are required only in a small proportion of SARS-CoV-2 positive children who present severe symptoms, like interstitial lung disease. A quarter of children experience persistent symptoms some months later after being hospitalised, and they need to be properly followed up. Case presentation: The authors describe a case report of long-COVID in a 5 years old child, who was previously hospitalized for a severe case of COVID-19 (an interstitial lung disease requiring oxygen), followed up in 3 months in our Pediatric Department. Results: After 3 months post-hospitalisation, despite his clinic history, the clinical examination was normal, during the six-minute walking test he did not desaturate, the spirometry was in the norm and the lung ultrasound did not show any pathological findings. Conclusion: We reported a case of a child previously hospitalised for interstitial lung disease with long-COVID, who has been followed up 3 months after the hospitalisation by our Department of Pediatrics of the University ‘Luigi Vanvitelli’. Based on our experience, even in children who have experienced a severe form of COVID-19 disease and who continue to exhibit symptoms, a proper follow-up can demonstrate a full recovery in a few months. </jats:sec

Efficacy and Safety of Oral Probiotics in Children with Allergic Rhinitis: A Review

No full text
The prevalence of allergic rhinitis is rising, and it is impacting children’s growth and quality of life. To uncover unconventional treatment modalities, research was carried out to clarify the significance of novel components in the pathophysiology of allergic rhinitis. One of these elements was gut microbiota, which plays a crucial role in the development and evolution of allergic disorders. Specifically, dysbiosis, defined as impaired microbiota composition, characterizes allergic disorders. In light of this concept, probiotics (beneficial bacteria) may restore gut dysbiosis, rebalance the immune response, and indirectly influence the clinical course of allergic diseases. In this article, we discussed the role of the gut–lung axis in children and reported on new findings. We also reviewed the most relevant studies about probiotics in patients with allergic rhinitis

Documentalità o della grammatologia quale scienza positiva. Ferraris e l’eredità di Derrida

No full text
The author proposes to read Documentalità constantly referring to Jacques Derrida’s work, which is one of its main sources. This comparative reading develops through a double move: on the one hand, it attempts to explain Derrida’s famous sentence “there is nothing outside the text” taking into account the criticism elaborated in Ferraris’ work. On the other hand, it suggests an understanding of the theory of document as a development of Derrida’s project of a “Grammatology as a positive science”. The articulation of this twofold movement is found in Derrida’s theory of archiwriting, to which Ferraris refers: the liberation of the theory of writing from the linear phonetic-alphabetic ideal in view of a multidimensional writing, which can explain the functioning of our thinking and its articulation with the systems of inscription that the new technologies have made available

LE INFEZIONI DELLE VIE URINARIE NEL PAZIENTE CON TRAPIANTO DI RENE

No full text
Queste osservazioni corrispondevano a 403 pazienti (50%).
