Acil Servise Düşme Nedeniyle Gelen 65 Yaş ve Üstü Hastaların Yaşam Aktiviteleri ve Düşme Endişesinin Değerlendirilmesi
No full textAmaç: Bu çalışmada acil servise düşme nedeniyle gelen 65 yaş ve üzeri hastaların yaşam aktiviteleri ve düşme endişelerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışma T.C. Sağlık Bakanlığına bağlı İstanbul Anadolu Yakasında bulunan Prof. Dr. Süleyman Yalçın Şehir Hastanesinde yapıldı. Çalışma verileri, acil travma bölümüne 1 Haziran-1 Eylül.2023 tarihleri arasında düşme şikayetiyle gelen 65 yaş ve üzeri 700 hastadan elde edildi. Verilerin toplanmasında; hasta tanılama formu, Barthel Günlük Yaşam Aktiviteleri İndeksi ve Uluslararası Düşme Etkinlik Skalası (UDES) kullanıldı. İstatistiksel değerlendirmede SPSS 29.0 paket programında sayı, yüzdelik, ortalama, standart sapma kullanıldı. Verilerin normal dağılıma uygun olup olmadığı Kolmogorow-Smirnov testi ile belirlendi. Grupların normal dağılım gösterdiği saptandı. Bağımsız gruplar arasındaki ortalamaların farkını değerlendirmek için ikili gruplarda bağımsız gruplarda t testi, üç ve daha fazla bağımsız gruplarda tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) kullanıldı ve farkın hangi grupta olduğu TUKEY testi ile belirlendi. Bulgular: Katılımcıların yaş ortalamaları 74,15±7,33 (medyan=72, Min= 65, maks=100)'dür. Cinsiyet dağılımına bakıldığında, kadınların %54, erkeklerin ise %46 oranında olduğu saptandı. Daha önce düşme öyküsü olanların oranı %70,3, sürekli ilaç kullananların oranı %91,5 olup, düşme nedeniyle acile gelen hastaların %15,7'sine yatış verildi. Barthel ölçeği puan ortalaması 83 (min=0, maks=100), UDES puan ortalaması 30,6 (min=16, maks=64) olarak saptandı. BARTHEL ve UDES ölçekleri arasında korelasyona bakıldığında negatif yönde güçlü bir ilişki bulunduğu tespit edildi (r=-0,868; p=<0,001). Sonuç: Bireylerde yaş ilerledikçe düşme sıklığı da artmaktadır. Yaşlı bireylerde günlük yaşam aktivitelerinin ve düşme riskinin belirlenmesi ve düşmelere yönelik önlemlerin alınması gereklidir. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted at Prof. Dr. Süleyman Yalçın City Hospital located on the Asian side of Istanbul, under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey. The study data were obtained from 700 patients aged 65 and older who visited the emergency trauma department between June 1 and September 1, 2023, with complaints of falls. To collect data, a patient diagnosis form, the Barthel Index of Activities of Daily Living, and the International Falls Efficacy Scale (FES) were used. For statistical evaluation, the SPSS 29.0 software was employed to calculate frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The normality of the data was assessed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. It was determined that the data followed a normal distribution. To evaluate the differences in means between independent groups, an independent t-test was used for binary groups, and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was applied for three or more independent groups. The group where the difference occurred was identified using the Tukey test. Results: The average age of the participants was 74.15±7.33 (median=72, Min=65, Max=100). In terms of gender distribution, 54% were women and 46% were men. The percentage of individuals with a history of falls was 70.3%. The percentage of those who were on continuous medication was 91.5%, and 15.7% of patients who came to the emergency department due to a fall were hospitalized. The average score on the Barthel Index was 83 (Min=0, Max=100), and the average score on the UDES scale was 30.6 (Min=16, Max=64). A strong negative correlation was found between the Barthel Index and UDES scale scores (r=-0,868; p=<0,001). Conclusion: As individuals age, the frequency of falls increases. It is necessary to identify the daily living activities and fall risk in elderly individuals and take preventive measures against falls. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
