Preprocessing and Content/Navigational Pages Identification as Premises for an Extended Web Usage Mining Model Development
From its appearance until nowadays, the internet saw a spectacular growth not only in terms of websites number and information volume, but also in terms of the number of visitors. Therefore, the need of an overall analysis regarding both the web sites and the content provided by them was required. Thus, a new branch of research was developed, namely web mining, that aims to discover useful information and knowledge, based not only on the analysis of websites and content, but also on the way in which the users interact with them. The aim of the present paper is to design a database that captures only the relevant data from logs in a way that will allow to store and manage large sets of temporal data with common tools in real time. In our work, we rely on different web sites or website sections with known architecture and we test several hypotheses from the literature in order to extend the framework to sites with unknown or chaotic structure, which are non-transparent in determining the type of visited pages. In doing this, we will start from non-proprietary, preexisting raw server logs.Knowledge Management, Web Mining, Data Preprocessing, Decision Trees, Databases
Luther Today
The article examines main works by German and European historians specializing in the biography
and public activity of the Reformer Martin Luther. The focus is primarily on the works by
historians Heinz Schilling and Volker Leppin, placed in the context of modern historiographical
discussion. How can the phenomenon of Luther be interpreted in a methodologically constructive
way, how significant can be the research of the anthropology of the personality and a wider
socio-structural scope of examination? The possibilities and limitations of the application of
certain concepts to the phenomenon of Luther, in particular, the concept of confessionalization
most consistently represented by Heinz Schilling, are illustrated in the paper. Besides that, the
author elaborates on the mystical roots of Luther’s theology in Volker Leppin’s representation.
The article also focuses on the aspects of continuity and differences between certain recent areas
of research. An advanced approach of historical anthropology in Volker Leppin’s works is discussed
together with civilizational notions in the books by Thomas Kaufmann and Heinz Schilling.
Schilling’s book is exceptionally significant as it perceives the phenomenon of Luther from
a viewpoint of the concept of confessionalisation, whose representative Shilling is. The origins of
the Reformation and the development of Luther as a theologian were affected by the factors of a
previous period. As far as this aspect is concerned, Volker Leppin’s research is of special interest.
The author carries out an in-depth study of the connection between spiritual origins of the Reformer
and the ideas of his older contemporaries and predecessors. The article was written with the financial support of the Russian Foundation for the Humanities (project:

ELG spectroscopic systematics analysis of the DESI Data Release 1
J. Yu et al. -- Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) survey Year 1 results. -- ArXiv ePrint: 2405.16657Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) uses more than 2.4 million Emission Line Galaxies (ELGs) for 3D large-scale structure (LSS) analyses in its Data Release 1 (DR1). Such large statistics enable thorough research on systematic uncertainties. In this study, we focus on spectroscopic systematics of ELGs. The redshift success rate (fgoodz) is the relative fraction of secure redshifts among all measurements. It depends on observing conditions, thus introduces non-cosmological variations to the LSS. We, therefore, develop the redshift failure weight (wzfail) and a per-fibre correction (ηzfail) to mitigate these dependences. They have minor influences on the galaxy clustering. For ELGs with a secure redshift, there are two subtypes of systematics: 1) catastrophics (large) that only occur in a few samples; 2) redshift uncertainty (small) that exists for all samples. The catastrophics represent 0.26% of the total DR1 ELGs, composed of the confusion between [O ii] and sky residuals, double objects, total catastrophics and others. We simulate the realistic 0.26% catastrophics of DR1 ELGs, the hypothetical 1% catastrophics, and the truncation of the contaminated 1.31 < z < 1.33 in the AbacusSummit ELG mocks. Their Pℓ show non-negligible bias from the uncontaminated mocks. But their influences on the redshift space distortions (RSD) parameters are smaller than 0.2σ. The redshift uncertainty of DR1 ELGs is 8.5km s-1 with a Lorentzian profile. The code for implementing the catastrophics and redshift uncertainty on mocks can be found in https://github.com/Jiaxi-Yu/modelling_spectro_sys.JY, DFS, and JPK acknowledge the support from the SNF 200020_175751 and 200020_207379 “Cosmology with 3D Maps of the Universe” research grant. Андрей Александрович Тейльс — писатель, который все-таки существовал
The paper reconstructs the biography of Andrei Aleksandrovich Teil’s (1782–1822), the author of “Hercules and Daianira”, a tragedy in аlexandrine verse (1807). He is attributed various sentimental poems and translations from French that were published in the journals “Ippokrena” (1799), “Litsei” (1806), “Novosti” (1799), “Novosti russkoi literatury” (1803), “Severnyi vestnik” (1805) and “Severnyi Merkurii” (1811). These publications were signed “A. de Teil’s”, “An. Teil’s”, “An: Teil’s”, “A. Teil’s”, “Teil’s” and until now have been erroneously considered to be the work of Anton Antonovich Teil’s (1733 — after 1798), the uncle of Andrei Aleksandrovich. It has not been noticed that at one point the author revealed his identity by putting the name “Andrei Teil’s” under a poetic translation from Voltaire in “Litsei” (1806). References made in “Puteshestvie v Norvegiiu odnogo molodogo cheloveka v 1801 godu” [A Young Man’s Journey to Norway in 1801] (published in “Severnyi Merkurii” [The Northern Mercury] in 1811; signed A. Teil’s) to the anonymous “Puteshestvie v Shvetsiiu” [A Journey to Sweden] (1811; published after the last part of “Puteshestvie v Norvegiiu odnogo molodogo cheloveka v 1801 godu” in the same journal) indicate clearly that both of these travelogues were written by Andrei Aleksandrovich Teil’s. Furthermore, the travel routes described therein coincide with two trips he took in 1800 and 1801, as can be seen in his curriculum vitae in the Russian State Naval Archive. Closely connected with these texts is the “Idilliia na vozvrashchenie iz Norvegii druga moego A. A. T..lsa v 800-m godu oktiabria 29 dnia” [Idyll on the Return from Norway of My Friend A. A. T..ls on 29 October 1800], published in 1810 in the same review and signed with the cryptonym “P - r U - - ov”. In this case, it is highly probable that the author was Petr Aleksandrovich Ushakov (1783 — after 1804), a classmate of Andrei Aleksandrovich Teil’s at the navy cadet school and a close relative of the famous writer Aleksandr Nikolaevich Radishchev (1749–1802). (1749–1802). Processes, information, and accounting gaps in the regulation of Argentina's private railways
Almost a decade after Argentina began privatizing its railways, resolution of conflicts between regulators, users, and operators continues to take longer, and to be more difficult, than expected. The authors contend that many of these conflicts arose because there are no rules for interactions between the key stakeholders: government, regulators, users, unions, and the media. One result of inexperience in setting up concession agreement has been that the agreements did not clearly define the information needed for oversight and regulation. Argentine rail concession contracts were supposed to be specific about the way tariffs, quality, investment, exclusivity, and so on, would change over time. And the newly created regulatory bodies were given some discretion about adjusting the contracts in the face of unforeseen developments. However, initial privatization were carried out in such a way that there was no time to refine terms, so many loopholes remained. Those unforeseen events have happened, and the regulatory agency, the National Commission for Transport Regulation (CNRT), has had to adapt its procedures and decisions to available information. In some cases, alleged modifications of the operating environment have led to renegotiations. Changes have been introduced in the approach to furnishing information to the government for oversight and regulatory accounting. The changes center on clearer definitions in connection with four major issues: a) The measurement of efficiency; b) access prices; and c) the financial model. Circumstances in the Argentine rail industry early in 2001 did not favor dramatic changes, but current renegotiations could be used to adjust information requirements to reflect what has been learned through six yearsof experience.Environmental Economics&Policies,Knowledge Economy,Labor Policies,Decentralization,Financial Intermediation,Environmental Economics&Policies,Financial Intermediation,Banks&Banking Reform,Education for the Knowledge Economy,Knowledge Economy
A Theoretical Framework for Foreign Divestment Decision: Emerging Markets
The decision making process and execution of foreign divestment has been an increasing phenomenon which has been noted by researchers over the years as a very terrifying decision, however, a holistic framework has yet to be developed to address this issue. The theory of Bounded rationality and real option theory have been independently analyzed and used to explain the decision to divest. We examine the usage of both theories in unison to determine divestment decision and propose a theoretical framework. In this paper the author seeks to give insight based on organization theories which can be used a basis to build a model of FD
К вопросу об аутентичности мозаики «Волчица и Близнецы» из Алдборо в северном Йоркшире
Roman floor mosaic known as the “Capitoline Wolf and the Twins” discovered in 1842 at Lonsdale’s farm of Boroughbridge near Aldborough in North Yorkshire, is discussed in the article. Another piece — known as “The Aldborough Lion mosaic” that depicts a lion under a tree — was discovered at the same farm in 1832. Scholars are positive about its authenticity. Though in size and composition the two mosaics are identical, a detailed study of both comes across certain problems. The owner of the farm — a former mason, sold the “Wolf and the Twins” mosaic to the Literary and Philosophical Society of Leeds 15 years after the find. Caused by such a delay, suspicions around authenticity of Lonsdale’s mosaic grew. H. E. Smith, the author of “Reliquiae Isurianae: the Remains of the Roman Isurium” published it in a Supplement (1867). What makes the case twice suspicious is that the farm owner was a mason who managed the instruments identical to those used by a mosaic-maker. As a professional, not only could he just reassemble the blocks, but was also able to invade the original mosaic-maker’s sphere. In Russian literature the problem of the mosaic’s authenticity has never been discussed before.
It is worth mentioning that terms used for mosaic-maker’s instruments are different in Russian and West European languages. Since the appearance and the function of the instruments have been remaining the same during twenty three centuries, one could argue for the usage of the words taglione and tagliolo from antiquity till nowadays. Standardized terminology used in decorative arts has a long history, and gives better understanding to artists and craftsmen from different countries. Twin term «taglione — tagliolo» simply transliterated for Russian-speakers is much more convenient in work at any mosaic workshop.
