connoting the early modern age and yet the tremendous amount of biographical and hagiographical investigation carried out has not dispelled the many doubts concerning certain phases of his life, especially his youth. This essay presents the results of a study looking into those earlier years spent at the Studium of Padua where he is known to have obtained his doctorate in 1504. The extant documents analysed, issued at the beginning of the 16th century by the University and its institutions, clearly state that Gaetano was in Padua well before his degree (1500) and even later (1505). In addition to his own, the noble student attended four other graduation ceremonies in the company of illustrious lecturers and scholars part of distinct social groups. The current essay has carefully investigated such groups shedding new light on both the context in which Gaetano had developed as a young man and how, consequently, he would confront his future life in Rome
Attitudes towards parenthood, partnership and social rights for diverse families: Evidence from a pilot study in five countries
No full textAttitudes toward the civil and social citizenship rights of individuals in diverse family forms are underresearched. We use cross-national data from a pilot study among students in Denmark, Spain, Croatia, Italy, and the Netherlands to explore cross-country differences in beliefs about partnership, parenthood, and social rights of same-sex couples vs. heterosexual couples or married vs. cohabiting couples. The results suggest a polarization in students' attitudes between countries that appear more traditional (i.e., Italy and Croatia) and less traditional (Spain and the Netherlands), where the rights of married heterosexual couples are privileged over other family forms more so than in nontraditional countries. Moreover, equality in social rights is generally more widely accepted than equality in civil rights, particularly in relationship to parenthood rights and in more traditional countries. We discuss the implications of these findings and the implications for further research in this underexplored area of attitudinal research

No full text[EN] Juan Antonio García Solera obtained his degree in architecture at Madrid s School of Architecture in 1953. Javier Carvajal, Francisco Coello of Portugal, Eleuterio Población and Pedro Casariego were amongst his classmates, with whom he shared the same professional attitude characteristic of the Spanish architecture in those central decades of the twentieth century. The analysis of his drawings highlights the relevant role they assume for him in the process of shaping architecture, as an essential means for the effective control of his constructive materialization. These architectural drawings and freehand sketches traced on the drawing desk of his studio are revealed as an irreplaceable hinge between the ideation of the work and its construction. It has been a constant throughout his lengthy professional life until his death in August 2019, when this text was being written.[ES] Juan Antonio García Solera se tituló en la Escuela de Arquitectura de Madrid en 1953, habiendo estudiado, entre otros, junto a Javier Carvajal, Francisco Coello de Portugal, Eleuterio Población y Pedro Casariego con quienes compartía una misma actitud profesional característica de la arquitectura española de esas décadas centrales del siglo XX. El análisis de sus dibujos pone en evidencia el papel relevante que para él asumen en el proceso de creación de la arquitectura, como medio esencial para el control eficaz de su materialización constructiva. DISEÑO Y CONSTRUCCIÓN DE UNA ESTACIÓN DE CONFORMADO DE SOLERA
No full textEn éste trabajo se presenta el diseño y fabricación de un sistema de conformado de un material compuesto o solera de dos materiales empleada en distintas aplicaciones de la industria metalmecánica. El diseño de la estación de conformado se divide en dos partes: una estación de rolado y una estación de doblado. Para el desarrollo del sistema se emplearon las especificaciones de la solera, y con estas desarrollar un prototipo conceptual, el cual ayudó a conocer los parámetros principales a considerar en el diseño y fabricación de las estaciones de formado. No full textModern crowd theories agree that collective behavior is the result of the underlying interactions among small groups of
individuals. In this work, we propose a novel algorithm for detecting social groups in crowds by means of a Correlation Clustering
procedure on people trajectories. The affinity between crowd members is learned through an online formulation of the Structural SVM
framework and a set of specifically designed features characterizing both their physical and social identity, inspired by Proxemic theory,
Granger causality, DTW and Heat-maps. To adhere to sociological observations, we introduce a loss function (G-MITRE) able to deal
with the complexity of evaluating group detection performances. We show our algorithm achieves state-of-the-art results when relying on
both ground truth trajectories and tracklets previously extracted by available detector/tracker systems
