CONTRIBUTION OF TAXES TO GOVERNMENT REVENUE IN MYANMAR (Soe Min Htike, 2019)
No full textThis study aims to explore the various types of taxes contribution to government in Myanmar and to analyze the total to revenue contribution in government total revenue and GDP in Myanmar. This study used only secondary data from Myanmar Citizen's Budget. To analyze the data, descriptive statistics is used. The results shows that each types of government revenue is increased from financial year 2015-2016 to 2016-2017 financial year but decreased again in 2017-2018 financial year. It is also showed that all four types of taxes are only increased in 2018-2019 although other years are decreased. According to the study of tax revenue contributions to government revenue of Myanmar, there are not significantly changed in all of analysis years. It can be suggested that the government tries to educate public and the business owners who can pay more taxes such as airlines, oil and gas companies, gems companies to understand more on the tax knowledge and tax compliance

customer service factor has significant impact on brand attitude and brand attitude also

Get PDFThis study aims to explore the impact of Occupational Health and Safety programmes on Safe Work Environment and to analyze the effect of Safe Work Environment on Employee Performance. The data is collected from the samples of 80 respondents by using structured questionnaires. The study was established on the five Occupational Health and Safety Programs which are occupational health and safety surveillance, occupational health and safety committee, occupational health and safety policy, occupational health and safety inspection and occupational health and safety training. The findings indicate the impact of occupational health and safety programs on the safe work environment at Zay Minn Co., Ltd. The findings also indicate that there is an effect of safe work environment on employee performance at Zay Minn Co., Ltd. Therefore, the intention of the company to create the Safe Work Environment by using the occupational health and safety programmes is effective. Employee performance of the company can be promoted by creating the safe work environment. It is recommended that companies should align their occupational safety programs to their business strategies
The Effect of Leadership Styles on Job Satisfaction in Steel Mills Owned by Myanmar Economic Corporation (MEC) (Mg Soe Min Oo,2019)
Get PDFThis study aims to identify the leadership styles of leaders in Steel Mills owned by Myanmar Economic Corporation (MEC) and to explore the effect of leadership styles on job satisfaction. Leadership styles included transformational leadership, transactional leadership, work-oriented leadership, and people-oriented leadership styles. And job satisfaction includes empowerment, fringe benefit, co-worker, supervision, communication, contingent reward, and health and safety. The data was collected from two steel mills owned by MEC with the sample size of 30 managers and 115 employees. This study used descriptive statistic, correlation and regression analysis. The leaders responded about their practices of leadership styles. The subordinates responded about their perception of leaders’ leadership styles and the effect of leadership styles on job satisfaction. The results found that leaders most practice work-oriented leadership style and subordinates are more satisfied to the fringe benefits and empowerment. However, this study found that the more leaders practice transformational leadership style, the more employees’ satisfaction according to regression analysis. Leaders of steel mills owned by MEC should gradually change to transformational leadership skills though training and experience and seek sound leadership style in the future
A Study on Knowledge, Attitude and Practice towards Household Waste Disposal (A Case Study in Kyauktada Township,Yangon Region) (Han Soe Min, 2023)

the people towards household waste disposal in Kyauktada township, Yangon. The
study uses structured questionnaires to randomly selected 395 respondents. The study
shows the participants having high knowledge and positive attitude have good practice
towards household waste disposal. Those having low knowledge and negative attitude
have poor practices towards household waste disposal. The government staffs are the
best practice group towards household waste disposal. The respondents less than 500
yards living near municipal garbage bin have good practices towards household waste
disposal. It is recommended that a well-organized awareness program should be
implemented to raise practice on proper household waste disposal and to provide
enough garbage bin keeping within 500 yards of the buildings and to promote 3R
behavior change for sustainable environment
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
