No full textThe objective of the study is to identify the growth, problems and prospects of stock market in Yangon Stock Exchange. Moreover, this study examines investors’ attitude towards stock trading and the attitudes of listed public companies upon the Yangon Stock Exchange. In YSX, there are 5 listed companies, this study will be conducted in 4 listed companies. Descriptive research method was used in this study in both primary and secondary data were applied in it. Primary data are gathered by structured questionnaire to listed companies that what are the growth, problems and prospects of stock market in Yangon Stock Exchange. Secondary data are collected by approaching Yangon Stock exchange office, listed companies, website, previous researchers’ thesis and other sources from internet. It can be concluded that the number of listed company, the market capitalization and the amount of IPO are satisfactory. There is insufficient number of securities and brokers and low level of industrialization and small volume of securities traded hinders the growth of stock market. The investors are not realized the need of stock exchange. This study suggests that Yangon Stock Exchange should be able to increase the number of listed companies as investors have the ability to select shares that they like among many listed companies. It is necessary to increase the number of listed companies in the stock market in order to develop for the capital market as well as for the national economy. This study suggest that the government creates a complete financial system that would help to increase the development of financial system in Myanmar. Furthermore the stock market regulations with a view to make stronger and more attractive to local investors
Employee Retention and Organizational Performance of KBZMS General Insurance Co., Ltd (Soe Moe Htet, 2025)
Get PDFThis study investigates the effect of employee retention on the organizational
performance of KBZMS General Insurance Co., Ltd. The study is grounded in a conceptual
framework that includes work environment, training and development, compensation,
work-life balance, employee retention, and organizational performance. The objectives of
the study are to identify the key factors influencing employee retention and analyze their
effect on organizational performance at KBZMS General Insurance Co., Ltd. Primary data
were collected from 150 employees, using a simple random sampling method from a total
population of 500. Secondary data were obtained from previous research papers, official
publications, and company reports. Multiple regression analysis revealed that training and
development, compensation, and work-life balance have a statistically significant positive
effect on organizational performance, with training and development having the most
substantial effect on organizational performance. However, the work environment was
found to have no significant effect on performance. The study highlights the importance of
enhancing training opportunities, offering fair compensation, and supporting work-life
balance to improve organizational performance. The company should strengthen employee
development programs, revise compensation structures, and promote a healthy work-life
balance to enhance performance at KBZMS General Insurance Co., Ltd

Get PDFThis study is saving behavior of Ayeyarwady Bank staff’s and to explore the influencing factors on Ayeyarwady Bank Staffs’ saving behavior. Therefore, the determinants of saving behavior among the Ayeyarwady Bank Staffs’ in saving Branch (Bo Aung Kyaw Branch), (Kyun Taw Branch), (Mindhama Branch), (Sanchaung Branch) are used in this study. For this study, collected the data of simple random sampling method and the saving behavior factors are financial literacy, self-control, parental socialization and peer influence. The main finding factor is self-control and this is the most significant influence factor over the saving behavior of AYA Bank Staff’s. Similarly, motivation from environments develops saving practice. Having financial literacy can value the saving practice. The most important factor to saving behavior is self-control. A person who is determined to save whatever the situation is by means of self-control can also develop the saving behavior. Saving behavior should be study for the other organizations such as government, company, industry of the staffs which can be more perceived the behavior of savings factors and influencing factors in future study

Get PDFThis study focus on investigating security practices using in Ayeyarwady Bank (AYA BANK) Digital banking services whether policies, procedures and framework are in line with industrial best practices to prevent the potential data breaches. The study focuses mainly on potential security risks that may happen in AYA Bank environment and figure out the security mitigation points to alleviate security risks. This study indicates the concepts of security risks in detailed and explain types of security risks especially the importance of insider risks. Study reveal that the rising of data breach happening in everywhere due to the internet usage surge. In the theory background, this study extract the unexpected loss caused by the technology misuse in the organization. Findings from analysis also shows that insider threats may harm AYA Bank services if the mitigation plans are not effective in place. Study explain AYA Bank security controls and measurement process with four different independent variables such as planning and engaging with security experts from industries to do security assessments, identify the weakness in the AYA Bank Digital Banking systems environment, controlling the access to internal information system and monitoring the services by physical human or using the automation tools. In the analysis part of the study, the questionnaire result reflect the current security practices of AYA Bank and give the findings, suggestions and recommend for further study. There is a need for AYA Bank services to define the high level security policies and practices. Findings of the study recommend AYA Bank to give the security awareness trainings and technical refreshment sessions to bank staff occasionally
A Study on Health, Safety and Environmental Management Practices in Myanmmar's Electricity Sector (Case Study : Thaton Combined Cycle Power Plant) (Soe Moe Aung, 2025)
Get PDFThis study aims to evaluate the current Health, Safety, and Environmental
(HSE) management practices at the Thaton Combined Cycle Power Plant and to
analyze employee perceptions, attitudes, and commitment toward these practices. A
total of 120 permanent employees, representing 75% of the targeted 160 workforce
from various technical and managerial departments, participated in the survey.
Descriptive statistics and analytical techniques were employed to interpret the
responses. The findings reveal that employees have an agreement and positive
perception of the HSE management system, particularly in areas such as task risk
assessment, emergency preparedness, standard operating procedures, and training
effectiveness. Employees demonstrated high levels of commitment, particularly in
using personal protective equipment and participating in safety protocols. While
overall attitudes and engagement were positive, areas such as workplace hygiene,
chemical safety documentation, and communication regarding the mandatory nature of
training were identified for further improvement. The study highlights the success of
the current HSE practices in fostering a strong safety culture and provides direction for
ongoing enhancement
The Effect of Visual Merchandising and Store Atmosphere on Customers’ Impulse Buying Behavior towards Index Living Mall in Yangon ( Soe Moe Aung, 2024)
Get PDFThis study aims to analyze the effect of visual merchandising and store atmosphere
on customers' impulse buying behavior towards Index Living Mall, a prominent retail chain
in Yangon. It also examines the moderating effect of hedonic motivation on the relationship
between visual merchandising, store atmosphere, and impulse buying behavior. The
research is based on both primary and secondary data. A total of 1,217 customers who
purchased products from Index Living Mall in Yangon during 2023 were considered, and
Raosoft’s formula was used to calculate a sample size of 293 customers. These customers
were surveyed using a structured questionnaire, employing a simple random sampling
method. Utilizing a quantitative research approach, primary data were collected through
online surveys, and descriptive statistics and regression analysis were performed to
determine the effects of various factors. The findings indicated that both visual
merchandising and store atmosphere are positively significant affected on impulse buying
behavior. Furthermore, the study revealed that hedonic motivation significantly moderates
the effects on visual merchandising and store atmosphere element, such as floor
merchandising with negative and completely, store atmosphere elements, such as lighting
and color with positive and partially, and store layout with negative and partially on
customers’ impulse buying behavior. Specifically, customers with higher hedonic
motivation are more responsive to sensory-rich elements like lighting and color but less
influenced by the floor merchandising and store layout. The insights gained from this study
can help Index Living Mall and similar retailers optimize the merchandising and store
design strategies to enhance customer engagement and boost sales. The study also suggests
that retailers should focus on creating a sensory-rich shopping environment that caters to
hedonic motivations, while still maintaining functional aspects of store layout to appeal to
a broader customer bas
Handwritten Signature Verification System using Sobel Operator and KNN Classifier
No full textSignature is one of the most widely accepted personal attributes for identity verification. Signature verification is a scheme to verify cheque for bank security. So, this system is proposed as the off line handwritten signature verification system for the bank cheque image processing. In any offline signature verification system, feature extraction stage is the most vital and difficult stage. In this system, sobel gradient operator is used to extract signature features. After extracting features, this system performs the verification process by using k nearest neighbor KNN classifier. This system supports the security about the bank processing by verifying user signature from the bank cheque. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
