    Puusuutarit ry TuoteTalon käsikirja : TuoteTalon toteutuksen prosessinhallinta

    Opinnäytetyönä laadittiin käyttökelpoinen ja kattava käsikirja TuoteTalon prosessinhallinnan tueksi. Tämän opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajana toimii Puusuutarit ry, joka on Tampereen ammattikorkeakoulun rakennustekniikan opiskelijoiden yhdistys. Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan TuoteTalon toteutusprosessin hallintaa ja kehittämistä. Työssä käsitellään rakennusprosessin eri vaiheita. Erityisesti käsitellään TuoteTalon runkoelementtien siirtoa rakennushallille, hallilla suoritettavia rakennustöitä sekä messuhallilla toteutettavia työvaiheita. Lisäksi puretaan TuoteTalon ajanhallintaa ja riskien hallintaa sekä riskien jakautumista pääryhmiin. Taloudellistesta näkökulmasta työssä tarkastellaan TuoteTalon kustannusrakennetta ja kustannusten hallintakeinoja, kuten hankintaprosessin tehostamista, määrälaskentaa ja logistiikan optimointia. Tulosten perusteella voidaan todeta, että huolellinen suunnittelu, hankintaprosessin optimointi ja resurssien tehokas käyttö ovat keskeisiä tekijöitä projektin onnistumisen kannalta. Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin empiirisenä tutkimuksena, jossa hyödynnettiin kirjoittajan omaa kokemusta Puusuutareiden TuoteTalon vastuuhenkilönä toimimisesta sekä olemassa olevia dokumentteja, kuten työtunti- ja kustannuskirjanpitoa. Tutkimus kattoi kaksi (2) toimintakautta, joista ensimmäisellä opinnäytetyön kirjoittaja toimi Puusuutareiden hankintavastaavana ja toisella hankintapäällikkönä. Jatkotutkimuksen kannalta voisi olla hyödyllistä luoda TuoteTalon rakennustekniseen dokumentaatioon keskittyvä käsikirja, jonka avulla TuoteTalon rakentamista voitaisiin helpottaa ja systematisoida. Lisäksi hankintaprosessin optimointi tarjoaa mahdollisuuksia projektin kehittämiseen tulevaisuudessa.Implementing TuoteTalo is a multi-stage process. Transferring project management skills to new generation of Puusuutarit ry has previously been challenging, as there has been no clear guide on the project phases and management. The thesis was commissioned by Puusuutarit ry, an association of construction engineering students at Tampere University of Applied Sciences. The purpose of this thesis was to develop a practical and comprehensive handbook to support TuoteTalo's process management. The study focused on managing and improving TuoteTalo’s implementation process, covering key stages of construction, time management, and risk mitigation strategies at phases of the project. The thesis was conducted as an empirical study, drawing on practical experience gained from holding key responsibilities within Puusuutarit’s TuoteTalo project, as well as reviewing existing documentation such as work hour records and financial reports. The study covered two operational periods, during which the author first served as a procurement coordinator and later as a procurement manager. The findings of the study indicated that careful planning, an efficient procurement process, and efficient resource management were key factors in the project's success. A potential topic for further research could be a study focusing on the TuoteTalo construction process, with a broader emphasis on structural and technical details

    Someron Ratsastajat ry on Varsinais-Suomessa Someron kaupungissa toimiva ratsastusseura. Urheiluseurat eivät lähtökohtaisesti tavoittele voittoa, mutta Someron Ratsastajat ry on tästä poikkeus. Se omistaa ratsastuskoulun ja vuokraa yksityishenkilöiden hevosille karsina- ja laidunpaikkoja. Seurassa ei kuitenkaan olla aiemmin pohdittu toiminnan riskejä etenkään taloudellisesta näkökulmasta. Tässä opinnäytetyössä tarkasteltiin Someron Ratsastajat ry:n taloutta riskianalyysin ja riskienhallinnan näkökulmasta. Mitä ovat seuraan kohdistuvat taloudelliset riskit? Millä keinoilla niitä voidaan hallita? Kuinka todennäköisinä niitä pidetään? Mikä merkitys taloudellisten riskien realisoitumisella olisi? Taloudellisella riskillä tarkoitetaan tässä kaikenlaisia kannattavuuteen vaikuttavia riskejä. Tutkimusmenetelmä oli laadullinen tapaustutkimus, mutta tilinpäätöstietojen tarkastelu toi mukaan myös hieman määrällisiä piirteitä. Työ tehtiin syksyn 2021 aikana. Tutkielman teoriaosassa esiteltiin ensin riskien kartoittamisen eli riskianalyysin peruskäsitteitä ja tutustuttiin taloudellisten riskien eri lajeihin. Tämän jälkeen vuorossa oli riskienhallinnan työkaluihin tutustuminen. Erityinen painotus oli PK-HAAVA-menetelmällä, jonka avulla Someron Ratsastajat ry:n taloudellisia riskejä nostettiin esille ja analysoitiin. Empiirinen osa aloitettiin tutustumalla Someron Ratsastajat ry:n tuloihin ja menoihin. Tämän jälkeen käytiin läpi PK-HAAVAlla löytyneet taloudelliset riskit noudattaen teoriaosuudessa esiteltyä luokitusta. Kävi ilmi että seuran talous on kokonaisuudessaan kestävällä pohjalla, mutta ratsastuskoulun toimintaan liittyy joitakin kannattavuuteen ja vakavaraisuuteen liittyviä riskejä. Opinnäytetyöstä lienee hyötyä muillekin yhdistyksille, koska tulokset eivät liity kiinteästi hevosalaan. Monella yhdistyksellä maassamme voi olla samankaltaisia ongelmia.Someron Ratsastajat ry is an equestrian sports club located in Somero, South-Western Finland. Most sports clubs in the country are nonprofit organizations – Someron Ratsastajat ry is an exception to the rule as it owns a riding school as well as rents stalls for private customers’ horses. The aim of this study was to examine the financial situation of the club from the point of view of risk analysis and risk management. The following research questions were posed to reach this goal: What kind of financial risks are there in Someron Ratsastajat ry? How can they be managed? How likely are they considered? What would happen if the risks actualized? This case study was conducted using the qualitative research method with some aspects of the quantitative method. The theoretical part of this thesis dealt with the basic terminology of risk management. The concept of financial risks was introduced along with their main types and some common tools of risk management. The main emphasis was put on the method PK-HAAVA which was used in this study. The empirical part started with a general view on the income and expenditure of Someron Ratsastajat ry. This was followed by reporting financial risks as identified by PK-HAAVA and as categorized in the theoretical part. It was found out that the economy of the club as a whole is relatively stable. However, the riding school is subject to a set of risks, especially towards profitability and solidity. The results of the study are not very specific to equestrian sports clubs, so all kinds of associations in Finland may find it useful

    Developing a Brand Identity Strategy: the case of Pioneer Association Ry

    This thesis aims to serve as a manual and record of events that followed the ide- ation, process, and execution of building a brand identity for Pioneer Association Ry. The creator of the new brand identity is the author of this thesis, and the commissionaire is the non-profit organization Pioneer Association Ry. Pioneer Association Ry is a non-profit organization built by students with the aims of generating a safe network for young second-generation immigrants, born and raised in Finland, but that still feel divided in society by their back- grounds. The goal is to inspire and offer opportunities to these young people in order to help them build a suitable career path. The author of this thesis actively approached the organization in order to take part of their visual design challenges. They were facing a lack of creatives willing to collaborate with the elaboration of the brand identity for the recently registered association. The author proposed to collaborate on this project by offering them the brand identity creation they needed, plus a record and compilation of the process under the form of this thesis report. The quantitative research data for this thesis is collected mainly through an online questionnaire. The questionnaire will rotate around the topics of Brand Image and Awareness, as its main goal is that of understanding what the tar- geted audience needs and how do they react to the proposed image-related top- ics. The focus group is young second-generation immigrants, that share an inter- est in developing and integrating themselves as professionals in the working force. Interviewees are gathered from Pioneer Association Ry’s network, as well as the author’s personal network. The results are analyzed and presented on this thesis to give a better direction to the Brand Identity creation, based on the feedback and comments gathered from the questionnaires. Additionally, the fi- nal results of this research offer valuable guidance on how to approach and de- velop a brand identity for a new company/association, as well as the Brand Iden- tity as a final product for the commissionaire Pioneer Association Ry

    Career Development in ICT for a Professional Association of Electrotechnical Standardization

    The objective of the thesis was to audit the current systems and services utilized by a professional association, SESKO ry, and to subsequently consider practical improvements which were in line with the best interests of its members. This is presented in a diary format with working days described, along with weekly summaries and analysis. The aim was to document professional development in Information Communication Technology (ICT) development, as an employee transitions from being an external contractor to an internal employee for the professional association SESKO ry. This thesis was conducted during early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has had substantial influence on the role and responsibilities of the author. The theoretical framework was based on a prior working relationship with SESKO ry, acknowledging an underlying need for the adoption of new ICT procedures due to a change management process. The diary utilized a Kaizen PDCA model, with reference literature corresponding to the job description and assigned projects. Internal and unpublished material for IT system and service development of SaaS tools, service management contracts, electrotechnical standardization documents, templates for reporting and presentation material were also included in the framework. The results of the diary confirmed early analysis of the author, in that there was a need for certain systems and services to be reconsidered. The communication methods also required a revamp, and this can be seen in weekly summaries. This was achieved through reaching a consensus within the professional association. The analysis resulted in new projects being initiated for SESKO ry; the implementation of an IT assets management system and a move from local server systems to cloud based services.     Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajana oli Lempo-Volley Lempäälä ry, joka on suomalaisen lentopalloilun suurseura. Seurassa on tällä hetkellä miesten ja naisten sarjoissa joukkueet toiseksi korkeimmalla sarjatasolla Suomessa. Seuran tavoitteena on nostaa toinen näistä joukkueista korkeimmalle sarjatasolle eli Mestaruusliigaan. Lempo-Volley on organisaationa uusi, joten he haluavat panostaa markkinointiin liigatavoitteen saavuttamiseksi. Työn tarkoitus oli luoda markkinointisuunnitelma Lempo-Volleylle, jossa lähestyttiin tavoitetta kahdesta eri näkökulmasta: seuran brändin tunnettavuuden parantaminen, sekä sidosryhmien sitouttaminen seuran toimintaan pitkäjänteisesti. Työn tavoite oli kehittää toimeksiantajan markkinointia. Opinnäytetyön tutkimusmenetelminä olivat haastattelut, sekä kirjallinen tutkimus. Opinnäytetyön tuloksena syntyi konkreettinen markkinointisuunnitelma Lempo-Volleylle, jossa käsitellään urheiluseuran brändin rakennuksen vaiheet, sidosryhmien sitouttaminen seuran toimintaan, sekä ottelutapahtuman kehittäminen. Johtopäätöksenä todettakoon, että rakennettaessa menestyksekästä urheilubrändiä, yhteisön ja pitkäaikaisen sitoutumisen merkitys on iso. Yhteistyökumppanit, kannattajat ja vapaaehtoiset muodostavat seuran toiminnan perustan. Työssä kävi ilmi markkinoinnin haasteet johtuen rajallisista resursseista, jonka takia markkinoinnin suunnitelmallisuus, sekä brändin suunnitelmallinen kehittäminen ovat merkityksellisiä. Resurssit tulee kohdentaa tarkasti oikeisiin asioihin. Urheilussa tuloksellinen lopputulos on aina epävarmaa, joka luo omat haasteensa, mitä tulee urheilumarkkinointiin. Kehittämisehdotuksina tutkimusta voisi syventää koskemaan tarkemmin tiettyjä sidosryhmiä. Miten sitouttaa tärkeitä yhteistyökumppaneita seuran toimintaan ja miten luoda lisäarvoa yhteistyökumppaneille urheilumarkkinoinnin avulla.The thesis was commissioned by Lempo-Volley Lempäälä ry, a major Finnish volleyball club. The club currently has teams in the second highest league level in Finland in the men's and women's leagues. The club's goal is to raise one of these teams to the highest league level, the Championship League. Lempo-Volley is a new organization, so they want to invest in marketing to achieve the league goal. The purpose of the thesis was to create a marketing plan for Lempo-Volley, which approached the goal from two different perspectives: improving the club's brand awareness and committing stakeholders to the club's activities in the long term. The goal of the thesis was to develop the clients’ marketing. The research methods of the thesis were interviews and literature review. The thesis resulted in a concrete marketing plan for Lempo-Volley, which discusses the stages of building a sports club brand, engaging stakeholders in the club's activities, and developing a match event. In conclusion, it should be noted that when building a successful sports brand, the importance of community and long-term commitment is significant. Partners, supporters and volunteers form the foundation of the club's operations. The thesis revealed the challenges of marketing due to limited resources, which is why the systematic nature of marketing and the systematic development of the brand are important. Resources must be allocated precisely to the right activities. In sports, a successful outcome is always uncertain, which creates its own challenges when it comes to sports marketing. As development suggestions, the research could be deepened by examining specific stakeholders in more detail. It could also explore how to engage important partners in the club's activities and how to create added value for partners through sports marketing

Seis elementos sólidos isoparamétricos são desenvolvidos a partir do método de deslocamentos, diferindo entre si quanto à ordem de suas funções de interpolação. Os elementos possuem funções de interpolação quadráticas ou cúbicas no plano e lineares, quadráticas ou cúbicas na espessura. Os modelos são aplicados à análise estática de placas isotrópicas, ortotrópicas e laminadas, os resultados sendo comparados com soluções analíticas da teoria da elasticidade. As tensões são calculadas diretamente da relação constitutiva ou através da integração das equações diferenciais de equilíbrio. Na suavização global do campo de tensões é utilizada a técnica de diferenças finitas

    Organizational structure of collectives. Case study: MYÖS Ry

    The aim of this thesis was to make a research on collective ways of operating and flat organizational structure. Commissioner for this paper is non-profit collective/organization called MYÖS Ry. MYÖS is a Helsinki based DIY collective, party platform and co-care network for genre-fluid electronic music DJs, producers, organizers, party lovers and allies of currently underrepresented actors in the Helsinki club scene, and anyone in favour of a safer space to party in. MYÖS collective consists of 45 people in the main group and working group is around 20 people. In this work, the author looked deeper into collective’s work, what was the current organizational structure and finding out things that have to be changed/implemented in the future. Need in this research appeared from past problems related to decision-making, not having a clear understanding about collective’s structure and roles, communications and fair work load in organising events. The research herself has been a member of MYÖS collective since their first meeting back in March 2018. From this research, the author expected to find ways and tools on how to implement a better organisational model inside MYÖS Ry collective, grow empowerment inside the collective, develop a decision-making process which would involve each member’s desire, needs and interests. As a result of this research, the author aims to find tools to establish better organisational structure for MYÖS Ry collective which would reflect on ability to develop the quality of different things such as: produced content, both old and new members’ motivation and satisfaction, internal relations, external communications and all the components that relate to successful management.     Ry/Rk-Lex: A Computational Lexicon for Runyankore and Rukiga Languages

    Current research in computational linguistics and NLP requires the existence of language resources. Whereas these resources are available for only a few well-resourced languages, there are many languages that have been neglected. Among the neglected and / or under-resourced languages are Runyankore and Rukiga (henceforth referred to as Ry/Rk). In this paper, we report on Ry/Rk-Lex, a moderately large computational lexicon for Ry/Rk that we constructed from various existing data sources. Ry/Rk are two under-resourced Bantu languages with virtually no computational resources. About 9,400 lemmata have been entered so far. Ry/Rk-Lex has been enriched with syntactic and lexical semantic features, with the intent of providing a reference computational lexicon for Ry/Rk in other NLP (1) tasks such as: morphological analysis and generation; part of speech (POS) tagging; named entity recognition (NER); and (2) applications such as: spell and grammar checking; and cross-lingual information retrieval (CLIR). We have used Ry/Rk-Lex to dramatically increase the lexical coverage of previously developed computational resource grammars for Ry/Rk
