    Building & real estate piece detailing the purchase and renovation of 75 York Street in Portland, an office building owned by Scott Simons of Scott Simons Architects, and Paul Becker of Becker Structural Engineers. The pair worked with Norway Savings Bank, Benchmark Construction Inc. of South Portland, and realtor Matthew Cardente from CB Richard Ellis/The Boulos Company to transform the 7,800-square-foot warehouse. Challenges of the process included a long due diligence period, problems with the property lines, and unanticipated construction costs. Details
