e ilustrador, resultou em narrativas de profundo valor estético assente na articulação entre as duas linguagens, verbal e pictórica.The purpose of this study is to characterize Nuno Higino´s work and to promote his recognition and value. Nuno Higino is a Portuguese writer whose work is dedicated mainly to children and young adults. His texts, characterized by a profound lyricism, written either in poetry or poetic prose, show transversal subjects like the presence of nature and the sacred.
This essay stresses these subjects and therefore studies six of the recent author´s texts, which are illustrated by the artist José Emídio. The complicity between the two creators, author and illustrator, resulted in stories of deep
aesthetic value based on the relationship between the two languages, the verbal and the pictorial ones

No full textAnalisamos os livros de poesias intitulados “O desfazer das coisas e as coisas já desfeitas” (2015) e “Agora nos” (2012), do autor e psiquiatra Nuno Félix da Costa. Trata-se de um autor contemporâneo de origem portuguesa. Sua poesia se apresenta ao modo de instigantes monólogos filosóficos, como aforismos poéticos beirando o absurdo. Dentre os temas e conceitos que abordamos constam: os paradoxos da instituição literária; a acefalidade; a arqueologia; a loucura e a liberdade da poesia. Sendo um psiquiatra, o autor, enquanto poeta, vai contra as instâncias de poder como as da psiquiatria, buscando um diagnostico do absurdo pela poesia.We analyze the books of poetry entitled "O desfazer das coisas e as coisas já desfeitas"(2015), and “Agora Nos” (2012), book by author and psychiatrist Nuno Félix da Costa. He is a contemporary author of Portuguese origin and his poetry presents himself to the mode of philosophical monologues, such as poetic aphorisms. We studied the following themes and concepts: the paradoxes of the literary institution; the concept of acephality; the notion of archaeology, and poetry as freedom or as madness. No full textTrabalho Final do Curso de Mestrado Integrado em Medicina, Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade de Lisboa, 2017Introdução: A Hemorragia Subaracnoideia (HSA) Aneurismática é uma patologia com uma taxa de mortalidade a rondar em média os 40 a 50%, com complicações graves para os doentes. A rehemorragia é uma complicação importante, particularmente nas primeiras horas após a HSA inicial. As opções terapêuticas são duas, a cirúrgica e a endovascular, com uma tendência actual para que a intervenção seja realizada o mais precocemente possível.
Métodos: Considerámos todos os doentes submetidos a tratamento cirúrgico e/ou endovascular por HSA aneurismática no Hospital de Santa Maria (HSM) em 2001 e 2016. As informações clínicas recolhidas para este estudo foram a idade, o género, a data da HSA, a data de admissão hospitalar, o grau de gravidade à admissão segundo a Escala de Hunt&Hess, a data e o tipo de tratamento, o valor na Glasgow Outcome Scale (GOS) à data de alta e o tempo de internamento.
Resultados: Foram estudados 61 doentes em 2001 e 42 doentes em 2016. A idade média foi de 55.05 em 2001 e 55.43 em 2016. Em 2001 e 2016, 63.9% e 57.1% dos doentes, respectivamente, eram mulheres. O valor médio de gravidade à admissão pela escala HH foi de 2.8 e 2.9 em 2001 e 2016, respectivamente. Em 2001, os doentes esperaram, em média, 11.1 dias até serem tratados, em 2016 esperaram, em média, 1.5 dias. 82% dos doentes em 2001 foram tratados cirurgicamente, em 2016 a cirurgia foi a opção escolhida em 71.4%. Os doentes tratados endovascularmente foram 18% em 2001 e 29.2% em 2016. Em 2001, os doentes estiveram internados, em média, 35.4 dias, enquanto que em 2016 o valor médio foi de 21.1 dias. O valor médio da GOS à data de alta foi de 3.7 nos doentes tratados em 2001 e 4.1 nos tratados em 2016.
Conclusões: O tempo decorrido até ao tratamento diminuiu significativamente. Operam-se actualmente no HSM doentes com HSA aneurismática de maior gravidade à admissão, sem que o prognóstico seja significativamente pior à data de alta. O tratamento cirúrgico continua a ser o tratamento mais utilizado.Background: Aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage (aSAH) is a pathology with a high mortality rate, between 40-50%, with severe complications for patients. Rebleeding is an important complication, particularly in the first hours after the initial SAH. There are two options to treat these patients, clipping (surgical) and coiling (endovascular), with a tendency for the intervention to be performed as early as possible. Methods: We considered all patients undergoing clipping and/or coiling due to aneurysmal SAH who were admitted at the Hospital de Santa Maria (HSM) in 2001 and 2016. We collected data on age, gender, day in which aSAH occurred, date of hospital admission, Hunt&Hess score at admission, date and type of treatment, GOS score at the time of discharge and the length of hospital stay.
Results: A total of 61 patients in 2001 and 42 patients in 2016 were studied. The average age was 55.05 in 2001 and 55.43 in 2016. In 2001 and 2016, 63.9% and 57.1% of the patients were women, respectively. The average Hunt&Hess score on admission was 2.8 and 2.9 in 2001 and 2016, respectively. In 2001, patients waited, in average, 11.1 days to undergo treatment, against 1.5 days in 2016. 82% of the patients in 2001 underwent surgical treatment, clipping being the choice for treatment in 71.4% of the patients in 2016. Patients who underwent coiling were 18% in 2001 and 29.2% in 2016. In 2001, patients stayed in the hospital as inpatients, in average, 35.4 days, against 21.1 days in 2016. The average GOS score at the day of discharge was 3.7 concerning patients treated in 2001 and 4.1 in patients treated in 2016. Conclusions: The period from admission until treatment decreased significantly. Currently, more poor grade patients at admission diagnosed with aSAH (HH score 4-5) undergo treatment in HSM, without worse prognosis at the time of discharge. Clipping remained the choice for the majority of patients with aSAH in HSM

No full textThe writer Nuno Bragança joined the group of "progressive Catholics" who during the Salazar regime engaged in resistance to the dictatorship, through various forms of struggle. The author and his literary characters base their action on the practice of authentic Christian values, some of which coincide with the ones defended by Marxism. Such an attitude often implies explicit or veiled criticism of the official Catholic Church. In the storybook Estação, we find the representation of different social classes and their relationships, in an evolutionary perspective, as well as a real, desired or desirable behavior of structures responsible for the functioning of a society we want fair.O escritor Nuno Bragança integrou o grupo de “católicos progressistas” que durante o regime de Salazar se empenhou na resistência à ditadura, através de várias formas de luta. O autor e as suas personagens literárias fundam a sua acção na prática dos valores autênticos do Cristianismo, nos quais encontram coincidências com alguns dos que são defendidos pelo Marxismo. Uma tal atitude implica, não raras vezes, uma crítica explícita ou velada à Igreja Católica oficial.
