    The quality of life in North Sumatra currently still needs improvement, where poverty rates and human development are still lagging. These problems can be reflected in the community welfare indicator, namely the Human Development Index (IPM). One of these problems can be solved by knowing the factors that determine the Human Development Index in North Sumatra. The Human Development Index is suspected to contain elements of spatial dependency, therefore in this study the spatial regression method will be used with a spatially dependent effect model. The results of the analysis and discussion obtained are that the SAR model is the appropriate model in the case of the Human Development Index in North Sumatra. Predictor variables that significantly influence the Human Development Index in North Sumatra are Pure Enrollment Rate (APM) at Senior High School level , Poverty Rate , Open Unemployment Rate , and PDRB on the basis of price

    IMPLEMENTASI APLIKASI PENUNJUK LOKASI OBJEK WISATA KOTA MEDAN DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN TEKNOLOGI AUGMENTED REALITY

    Penelitian ini mengintegrasikan teknologi augmented reality (AR) dalam aplikasi navigasi untuk membantu pengguna mencari arah ke objek wisata di kota Medan. Tujuannya adalah meningkatkan pengalaman wisatawan yang baru pertama kali mengunjungi daerah tersebut dengan memberikan panduan navigasi yang jelas dan informasi objek wisata yang interaktif melalui tampilan AR pada smartphone. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan teknologi AR dalam sektor pariwisata dan meningkatkan daya tarik destinasi pariwisata di kota Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) untuk mengembangkan aplikasi augmented reality (AR). Tahap awal melibatkan Studi Literatur, di mana data terkait AR ditemukan melalui jurnal dan sumber informasi. Analisis Sistem diterapkan untuk memahami kebutuhan hardware dan software aplikasi. Perancangan Sistem mencakup perancangan aplikasi AR, sementara tahap Implementasi Sistem mencakai pembuatan aplikasi. Pengujian digunakan untuk memastikan aplikasi berjalan dengan baik. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini berfungsi sesuai dengan perancangan yang telah disusun, membantu pengguna yang baru pertama kali mengunjungi kota Medan dalam menjelajahi objek wisata dengan lebih baik. Pengguna dapat dengan mudah menemukan arah menuju objek wisata dan mendapatkan informasi yang dibutuhkan secara interaktif. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam pengembangan teknologi AR dalam sektor pariwisata, memperbaiki navigasi wisatawan, dan memungkinkan akses yang lebih mudah terhadap informasi objek wisata di kota Medan. Dengan demikian, aplikasi AR ini memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan daya tarik destinasi pariwisata kota Medan

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) menganalisis validitas, kepraktisan dan keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan matematika realistik menggunakan hypercontent untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kemandirian belajar siswa; 2) menganalis peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan matematika realistik menggunakan hypercontent; 3) menganalisis peningkatan kemandirian belajar siswa dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan matematika realistik menggunakan hypercontent. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahap Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII MTs S Hajijah Amalia Sari tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan analisis data deskriptif kualitatif dan analisisis kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Perangkat pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan matematika realistik menggunakan hypercontent untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kemandirian yang dikembangkan sudah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif; 2) Peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan matematika realistik menggunakan hypercontent yang telah dikembangkan dilihat dari nilai N-gain pada uji coba I sebesar 0,42 (sedang) meningkat menjadi 0,62 (sedang) pada uji coba II; 3) Peningkatan kemandirian belajar menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan matematika realistik menggunakan hypercontent yang telah dikembangkan dilihat dari nilai N-gain pada uji coba I sebesar 0,492 (sedang) meningkat menjadi 0,556 (sedang) pada uji coba II.&nbsp

    Development of Learning Tools Based on Realistic Mathematics Approach Using Hypercontent To Improve Ability Class VII Student Problem Solving

    This study aims to 1) analyze how the level of validity, practicality and effectiveness of learning tools based on realistic mathematics approach using hypercontent to improve problem solving skills at MTs S Hajijah Amalia Sari; 2) analyzing the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving skills by using learning tools based on realistic mathematics approach using hypercontent at MTs S Hajijah Amalia Sari; 3) analyze the increase in students' learning independence by using learning tools based on a realistic mathematics approach using hypercontent at MTs S Hajijah Amalia Sari. This study uses the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The subjects in this study were seventh grade students of MTs S Hajijah Amalia Sari in the 2021/2022 academic year. The results showed that 1) Learning tools based on a realistic mathematics approach using hypercontent to improve problem solving and independence skills developed had met the criteria of being valid, practical and effective; 2) Improved problem-solving skills using learning tools based on realistic mathematics approach using hypercontent that has been developed seen from the N-gain value in the first trial of 0.42, increasing to 0.49 in the second trial, meaning that it is in the "medium" category; Keywords: Realistic Mathematics Approach, Hypercontent, Problem Solving Ability, DOI: 10.7176/JEP/13-17-03 Publication date:June 30th 2022

    Development of Learning Media Based on Realistic Mathematics Learning Approach Assisted by Macromedia Flash to Improve Students' Mathematical Reasoning Ability at MTs Negeri 1 Langsa

    This research aims to: (1) To determine the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of learning media assisted by Macromedia flash; (2) To analyze whether the learning media assisted by Macromedia Flash based on the RME approach is able to improve the mathematical reasoning abilities of class VIII students at MTs Negeri 1 Langsa. This research includes development research. This research uses Thiagarajan 4-D development model. This research was carried out at MTs Negeri 1 Langsa in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII-2 MTs Negeri 1 Langsa. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the developed learning media has met the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective; (2) Increasing students' mathematical reasoning abilities using learning media developed on cube and block material, the average value increased from trial I of 69,5 to 77,08 in trial II.     PEMODELAN FAKTOR-FAKTOR PENYEBAB KEMISKINAN DI PROVINSI SUMATERA UTARA MENGGUNAKAN METODE GEOGRAPHICALLY WEIGHTED REGRESSION (GWR)

    Kemiskinan merupakan permasalahan multidimensi yang kompleks dan mencakup berbagai aspek. Akibat kompleksitas yang dimilikinya, penanggulangan kemiskinan memerlukan program yang terintegrasi dan tidak tumpang tindih. Tujuan dari penelitian ini terfokus pada analisis faktor-faktor penyebab kemiskinan di Provinsi Sumatera Utara dengan mempertimbangkan aspek spasial menggunakan metode Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR).  Penelitian ini menggunakan data kemiskinan Provinsi Sumatera Utara pada tahun 2018. Berdasarkan pengujian heterogenitas spasial dan dependensi spasial dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemiskinan dipengaruhi oleh aspek spasial sehingga penelitian ini dapat dianalisis menggunakan metode GWR. Pemodelan dengan menggunakan metode GWR menghasilkan nilai  yang lebih besar  dari regresi global yang mengahasilkan . Kemudian metode GWR menghasilkan  nilai AIC = 171.123 yang lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan model regresi global dengan nilai AIC = 185.909.Hasil analisis menunjukkan karakteristik persentase kemiskinan  mengelompok. Daerah-daerah yang tergolong memiliki persentase tertinggi berada di daerah kepulauan Nias

This study aims to: 1) describe how the level of validity, practicality and effectiveness of guided discovery-based learning tools using Hypercontent to improve critical mathematical thinking skills at SMAN 1 Tambangan; 2) describe the improvement of students' mathematical critical thinking skills using guided discovery-based learning tools using Hypercontent at SMAN 1 Tambangan The method used in this research is development research. The subjects in this study were the 11th grade students SMAN 1 Tambangan in the academic year 2021/2022. The results showed that 1) Guided discovery-based learning tools using hypercontent to improve students' mathematical critical thinking skills that were developed already met the criteria of being valid, practical and effective; 2) The improvement of mathematical critical thinking skills using guided discovery-based learning tools using hypercontent that has been developed seen from the N-gain value in the first trial of 0.33 increased to 0.4 in the second trial, meaning that it is in the "medium" category

    Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran Berbasis Penemuan Terbimbing Menggunakan Hypercontent untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Matematis Siswa

    Pembelajaran Daring (dalam jaringan) merupakan belajar secara online melalui media-media yang ditentukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk : 1) mendeskripsikan bagaimana tingkat Validitas , kepraktisan dan efektifitas perangkat pembelajaran berbasis penemuan terbimbing menggunakan Hypercontent untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir matematis kritis di SMAN 1 Tambangan; 2) mendeskripsikan Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis penemuan terbimbing menggunakan Hypercontent di SMAN 1 Tambangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D oleh Sivasailam Thiagarajan, Dorothy S. Semmel, dan Melvyn I. Semmel (1974). Model ini terdiri dari 4 tahap pengembangan yaitu Define (Pendefinisian), Design (Perancangan), Develop (Pengembangan) dan Disseminate (Penyebaran). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Tambangan tahun Ajaran 2021/2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Perangkat pembelajaran berbasis penemuan terbimbing menggunakan hypercontent untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang dikembangkan sudah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif; 2) Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis penemuan terbimbing menggunakan hypercontent yang telah dikembangkan dilihat dari nilai N-gain pada uji coba I sebesar 0,33 meningkat menjadi 0,4 pada uji coba II, artinya berada dalam kategori “sedang”

    Percentile Bootstrap Interval on Univariate Local Polynomial Regression Prediction

    This study offers a new technique for constructing percentile bootstrap intervals to predict the regression of univariate local polynomials. Bootstrap regression uses resampling derived from paired and residual bootstrap methods. The main objective of this study is to perform a comparative analysis between the two resampling methods by considering the nominal coverage probability. Resampling uses a nonparametric bootstrap technique with the return method, where each sample point has an equal chance of being selected. The principle of nonparametric bootstrapping uses the original sample data as a source of diversity in contrast to parametric bootstrapping, where the variety comes from generating a particular distribution. The simulation results show that the paired and residual bootstrap interval coverage probabilities are close to nominal coverage. The results showed no significant difference between paired bootstrap interval and percentile residual. Increasing the bootstrap sample size sufficiently large gives the scatterplot smoothness of the confidence interval. Applying the smoothing parameter by choice gives a second-order polynomial regression with a smoother distribution than the first-order polynomial regression. The scatterplot shows that the second-degree polynomial regression can capture the data curvature feature compared to the first-degree polynomial. The bands made from second-degree polynomials give a narrower width than first-degree polynomials. In contrast, applying optimal smoothing parameters to the model provides different conclusions by using smoothing parameters based on choice. In addition to the differences based on the scatterplot, the bootstrap estimates of the coverage probability are also other. Selecting smoothing parameters based on a particular value provides probability coverage with the paired bootstrap method for the first-degree local polynomial regression is 0.93, while the second-degree local polynomial is 0.96. The probability of coverage based on the residual bootstrap method for the first-degree local polynomial regression is 0.95, while the second-degree local polynomial is 0.96. The probability coverage based on the optimal parameters of the paired bootstrap method for the first-degree local polynomial regression is 0.945, while the second-degree local polynomial is 0.93. The residual bootstrap method gives the first-degree local polynomial regression of 0.95, while the second-degree local polynomial is 0.93. In general, both bootstrap methods work well for estimating prediction confidence intervals

    Analysis of multicultural mathematics learning with RACISM and students' social attitudes

    Multicultural learning is a strategy for creating a learning environment and designing a learning experience that integrates culture as part of the learning process. In multicultural learning, culture becomes a method for students to transform the results of their observations into creative forms and principles of nature so that the role of students is not merely to imitate or receive information, but to act as a creation of meaning and understanding. Subjects such as Citizenship Education, Social Sciences, Natural Science, Cultural Arts and Skills are considered to contribute to multicultural learning, but mathematics subjects can also contribute. The research aimed to find out how the use of multicultural learning in mathematical learning, on flat building materials, affected students' racism and social attitudes. This is a qualitative descriptive study that uses the interview method to gather data. The results will be qualitatively analyzed. Interviews were conducted to find out how multiculturalism is integrated into learning, how knowledge construction is built through cultural influences, how prejudice reduction occurs, how equality pedagogy is implemented, how the empowerment of school culture occurs in the learning process, and how it impacts in tackling racism and social attitudes of students after using such learning
