    Pogonomelomys sevia (Tate and Archbold, 1935). Am. Mus. Novit., 803:3. TYPE LOCALITY: Papua New Guinea, Morobe Prov., Huon Peninsula, Cromwell Range, Sevia, 1400 m. DISTRIBUTION: New Guinea; Central Cordillera of Papua New Guinea from Star Mtns in the west to the Wau region of Morobe Prov. in the east, including mountains of Huon Peninsula (Flannery, 1990b; Menzies, 1990). SYNONYMS: tatei. COMMENTS: Originally described as a species of Melomys by Tate and Archbold (1935) and subsequently transferred to Pogonomelomys by Rümmler (1938) where it remained (Laurie and Hill, 1954; Tate, 1951) until Menzies (1990) made sevia the type species of Abeomelomys. The species has always been considered distinctive compared to mayeri and bruijnii (Flannery, 1990b; Tate, 1951), but the traits used by Menzies to diagnose Abeomelomys do not distinguish that genus from Pogonomelomys.Published as part of Guy G.     Introduction: The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA) for cervical cancer screening (CCS) in lower-resource settings; however, quality varies widely, and it is difficult to maintain a well-trained cadre of providers. The Smartphone-Enhanced Visual Inspection with Acetic acid (SEVIA) program was designed to offer secure sharing of cervical images and real-time supportive supervision to health care workers, in order to improve the quality and accuracy of visual assessment of the cervix for treatment. The purpose of this evaluation was to document early learnings from patients, providers, and higher-level program stakeholders, on barriers and enablers to program implementation. Methods: From 9 September to 8 December 2016, observational activities and open-ended interviews were conducted with image reviewers (n = 5), providers (n = 17), community mobilizers (n = 14), patients (n = 21), supervisors (n = 4) and implementation partners (n = 5) involved with SEVIA. Sixty-six interviews were conducted at 14 facilities, in all five of the program regions Results SEVIA was found to be a highly regarded tool for the enhancement of CCS services in Northern Tanzania. Acceptability, adoption, appropriateness, feasibility, and coverage of the intervention were highly recognized. It appeared to be an effective means of improving good clinical practice among providers and fit seamlessly into existing roles and processes. Barriers to implementation included network connectivity issues, and community misconceptions and the adoption of CCS more generally. Conclusions: SEVIA is a practical and feasible mobile health intervention and tool that is easily integrated into the National CCS program to enhance the quality of care

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Adaptive Capacity of Indonesian Peatland Communities Facing Resource Loss and Fires Threats : Studies on Purun (Eleocharis dulcis) Craftsmen

    This study investigates the adaptive capacity of peatland communities, specifically purun artisans, in response to the transformation of peatlands into oil palm concessions and the devastating impact of land fires on purun raw materials. Traditional reliance on purun as a primary income source is gradually diminishing, with alternative economic opportunities non-peat based becoming increasingly scarce. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative methodology, this research integrates in-depth interviews, observations, and a comprehensive literature review to examine the resilience of these communities amidst environmental change. One hundred individuals from purun artisan groups at the study site were interviewed to gather data on socio-economic transition and adaptation strategies. The findings suggest the current adaptive capacity of these communities is in a precarious state, indicating a need for interventions to enhance resilience and sustainable livelihoods. This research underscores the pressing issue of peatland conversion and its socio-economic implications, making a significant contribution to the discourse on community resilience and peatland management. It also calls for further exploration into viable alternative income sources and capacity-building strategies to safeguard these communities' future
