No full textİkinci Dünya Savaşı ve sonrasında yaşanan gelişmeler Türkiye'nin ekonomik ve siyasi yapısında önemli değişiklikler meydana getirmiştir. Siyasal anlamda yaşanan en büyük değişiklik, çok partili yaşama geçilmesi olmuştur. Ekonomik anlamda yaşanan değişiklik ise 1930'lu yıllardan beri uygulanmakta olan devletçilik etkisini yitirerek yerini daha liberal uygulamalara bırakmıştır. Devletçiliğin etkisinin azaltılması konusunda uğraş veren kurumlardan birisi de İstanbul Tüccar Derneği olmuştur. Ticaret sermayesinin sesini duyurmak için 1947 yılında kurulmuş olan İstanbul Tüccar Derneği başta dış ticaret, devletçilik ve devlet müdahalesi ve vergi konusu olmak üzere birçok konuda kurmuş olduğu komisyonlar aracılığıyla önemli çalışmalar yapmıştır. İstanbul Tüccar Derneği'nin en önemli çalışmalarından biri de toplanmasına öncülük ettiği 1948 Türkiye iktisat Kongresidir. Kongre resmi otorite dışında toplanmış olması açısından bir ilk olma özelliğini taşımaktadır. İstanbul Tüccar Derneği görüşlerini yaymak amacıyla 1948 yılından itibaren Türkiye İktisat Mecmuasını yayınlamaya başlamıştır. Türkiye İktisat Mecmuası; dönemin Türkiye'sinin ekonomik ve sosyal yapısını yansıtmış ve yaklaşık 8 yıl boyunca 90 sayı yayınlanmıştır. Dergide başta İstanbul Tüccar derneği faaliyetleri olmak üzere dönemin önemli bilim adamlarının yazılarına yer verilmiş, ekonomiyle ilgili haberler yayınlanmıştır. The developments which took place during and after the World War II brought about considerable changes in the economic and political conditions of Turkey. The most important development in political field was the transition into multi-party system, and that in economic field the substution of etatism which was loosing its effect on economy with liberal policies. One of the establishments which was engaged in reducing the impact of etatism in economic field was İstanbul Merchant Association. İstanbul Merchant Association was founded in 1947 for the purpose of giving a voice to the merchant capital. It mainly worked on such issues as foreign trade, etatism and state intervention, and taxation by setting up comissions. It leaded the congregation of Turkish Economic Congress in 1948, which was a first that the congress was under no offical authority. In order to spread its views, İstanbul Merchant Association began to publish a periodical called İktisat Mecmuası in 1948. The journal reflected the current economic and social conditions of Turkey in those years, and was published for almost 8 years at a number of 90. No full textYakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu'nun Yaban romanı, söz dizimi kapsamında kelime grupları ve cümle bakımından, sayfa seçimi yapılmadan sondaj yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Millî Mücadele yıllarına ışık tutan ve içeriğiyle tartışmaları beraberinde getiren Yaban romanının söz dizimi çalışmasında asıl gaye, Türkçenin söz dizimi ve cümle yapısını ortaya koymaktır. Bu çalışma, giriş bölümü dışında dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş kısmında eseri incelenen yazarın hayatı, edebi şahsiyeti ve eserleri ile ilgili bilgiler verilmiştir. Birinci bölümde kelime grupları örneklerle açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölümde Türkçenin cümle yapısı ve unsurları metinden örneklerle ele alınmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde, kelime grupları ve cümle türleri seçilen örnekler üzerinde incelenmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde de söz dizimi ve eseri incelenen yazarın dili üzerine bir değerlendirmede bulunulmuştur. Son olarak Kaynakça bölümünde ise çalışma boyunca başucumdan ayırmadığım, bilgilerinden istifade ettiğim kaynaklar liste halinde verilmiştir. Yaban'ın söz dizimi incelenirken sadece Türkçenin söz dizimine örnekler verilmedi; aynı zamanda yaklaşık yüzyıl önce kullanılan dilin özelliği ve yazarın üslubu da yansıtılmaya çalışıldı. Kısacası; Yaban, konusuyla bir döneme ışık tutarken anlatım biçimiyle de Türkçemizin zaman tünelinde yaptığı yolculuğa tanıklık etmiştir.In this study, word groups and sentence structures of Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu's novel titled Wild (Yaban) have been examined within the scope of syntax by drilling and scanning method, without the choice of page. The main aim of the study of wild novel, which sheds light on the years of National Struggle and brings controversy with its contents; is to show the richness of words and structure in Turkish Language. This study consists of four parts except for the introductory section. In the introduction, information about the life of the author, literary personality and works studied is given. In the first chapter, the stages in which the groups of words are handled by the historical course are explained with examples. In the second part, the sentence structure and elements of Turkish Language are explained with examples from the text. In the third chapter, word groups and sentence types are examined in the form of practice. In the fourth chapter, the syntax of our language and the language used by the author is examined. In the bibliography section, the sources I have taken the information from which I have benefitted a lot throughout the study are listed. While the words of the wild were examined, only the examples of the words of the Turkish Language were given; but also, the characteristic of the language used about a century ago and the style of the author were also tried to be reflected. In short; the novel Wild, while setting light to the subject, it has witnessed the journey made in the time tunnel of our Turkish language by way of its narration
The social context of residential burglary: exploring neighborhood level risk factors in the city of Bursa, Turkey
No full textThis doctoral dissertation evaluated neighborhood level social environmental characteristics and their effects on creating residential burglary risk in Bursa, Turkey. In doing so, it follows the social disorganization and environmental criminology frameworks. The dissertation describes a multi-method study. Quantitative analysis focused on three separate issues. First, Census and police crime data were used in a bivariate and multivariate neighborhood level analysis. Neighborhood level social disorganization measures correlate strongly with the burglary rate. Second, feature environmental geocoded data were obtained and the key variables were treated as risk factors for the Risk Terrain Modeling (RTM) and traditional crime hot spot analysis. RTM is a better predictor of future burglaries when compared to hot spot analysis. Third, 165 neighborhoods of Bursa were coded into 4 categories according to physical structure: shantytowns, single family housing, adjacent type buildings, and multi-family apartment complexes. The neighborhood level burglary risk was regressed on the neighborhood type. Results indicate that type of neighborhood is significantly related to neighborhood level criminogenic risk. This dissertation also explored the role of neighborhood’s social characteristics by adding field observations of these differing social contexts. The researcher focused on indicators of risk and the social environmental context of four neighborhood types. The study found that single family housing neighborhoods have the lowest risk of residential burglary. These findings have important implications for interventions in urban settings, providing insights into the role that neighborhood characteristics can have on these encouraging crime and social disorderPh.
