Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Get PDFU radu se postavlja problem kreiranja e-kolokvija na platformi Loomen, a iz čega proizlazi
predmet rada. Analizom u radu prikazan je cjelokupan postupak kreiranja ekolokvija pred
kojega se postavilo nekoliko uvjeta. Prvenstveno je izvršeno kreiranje baze pitanja iz koje se
potom ista povlače u nove kategorije. Nakon kategorizacije pitanja, kojih je ukupno šest,
kreirali su se ispiti, također šest. Prilikom kreiranja ispita, pitanja su se povlačila iz baze,
preko kategorija. Postavke ispita definirane su, ili uvjetovane, vremenskim ograničenjem koje
je postavljeno na deset minuta, načinom ocjenjivanja koje je određeno srednjom ocjenom te
povratnim informacijama ukoliko je ispit zadovoljen, tj . prikaz osvojenih bodova od broja
ukupno mogućihProblem of creation of e-colloquiums on Loomen platform is presented in this work. Analysis
in this work show entire procedure of creation of e-colloquiums, taking into account few
conditions. Firstly, creation of basis for questions was made, from which new categories are
being created. After categorization of a total of 6 questions, 6 different exams have been
created. While creating exams, questions were withdrawn from the basis, i.e. categories.
Setting of the exam are defined and limited by time. Duration of the exam is 10 minutes. As
well, it is conditioned by the way of evaluation which is defined by a mid-ranged grade and
feedback, if the exam requirements are met. More precisely, it shows scored point in
comparison with total possible point

ljudsko zdravlje, smrt, život, okoliš, odnos prema znanosti, politici i ekonomiji. Suvremena
bioetika bavi se pitanjima medicinske skrbi i pitanjima istraživanja u području biomedicine, a
također proučava probleme prirode kao cjeline, uključujući fundamentalna pitanja zapadnih
civilizacija u razmatranje kao i opstanak čovječanstva. Komunikacija s pacijentima u
bolnicama koristi za ublažavanje negativnog emocionalnog stanja pacijenta, obzirom da kroz
psihosomatske mehanizme može djelovati na tok organskih bolesti, pa poboljšana
komunikacija daje dodatan terapeutski učinak pri liječenju istih. Širenje spoznaja o važnosti
provedbe uspješne komunikacije kao i utjecaja iste na pacijente, pojačava i napore za
poboljšanjem komunikacije u svakodnevnoj zdravstvenoj praksi. Zbog pogrešnog
razumijevanja medicinskih izraza nerijetko može doći do krivog shvaćanja o razvoju i fazama
bolesti

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Get PDFSkladište je prostor za uskladištenje robe u rasutom stanju ili u ambalaži s namjerom da poslije određenog vremena roba bude uključena u daljnji transport, proizvodnju, distribuciju ili potrošnju. Skladištenje je planirana aktivnost kojom se materijal dovodi u stanje mirovanja, a uključuje fizički proces rukovanja i čuvanja materijala te metodologiju za provedbu tih procesa. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati praktičnu primjenu i implementaciju logističkih rješenja u skladišnom sustavu poduzeća V.B.Z.d.o.o. Osim teorijskog pregleda skladištenja, u ovom radu će se detaljno analizirati odabrano poduzeće kroz skladišne procese, njihove nedostatke te moguća poboljšanja. Analizom skladišnih procesa poduzeća utvrđeno je da se jedno od mogućih poboljšanja poslovanja tvrtke očituje kroz promjenu načina komisioniranja i profiliranja robe što će se odraziti na redukciju vremena i prostora.The warehouse space for storage of goods in bulk or in containers with the intention that after a period of time the goods are included in the onward transportation, production, distribution or consumption. Warehousing is planned activity by which the material is brought into standby mode, and includes the physical process of handling and storing materials and methodology for the implementation of these processes. The aim of this study was to show the practical application and implementation of logistics solutions in the storage system companies V.B.Z.d.o.o. In addition to the theoretical views of storage, this paper will thoroughly analyze selected company through warehouse processes, their shortcomings and possible improvements. With the analysis of the company's storage was found to be one of the possible improvements of the company reflected in the change of picking and profiling goods in order to influence in the reduction of time and space
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
Get PDFWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
