SealEveL EquatioN solver - version 4
This repository contains SELEN, an open-source Fortran code for the numerical solution of the Sea Level Equation (SLE) for a spherical, layered, rotating Eartch with viscoelastic rheology.
SELEN implements a gravitationally and topographically self-consistent SLE and can compute several quantities of interest for the Glacial Isostatic Adjustment (GIA) problem, including Relative Sea-Level (RSL) curves, present-day sealevel rates at tide gauges, surface deformations and perturbations of the gravity field, geodetic fingerprints and paleo-topography maps.
SELEN includes portions of the SHTOOLS library by Mark A. Wieczorek and Matthias Meschede and surboutines from Max Tegmark for the icosahedron-shaped pixelization of the sphere.
SELEN is distributed under the 3-clause BSD license.</p

<p><strong>SELEN: a program for solving the "Sea Level Equation"</strong></p>
<p>The open source program SELEN solves numerically the so-called "Sea Level Equation" (SLE) for a spherical, layered, non-rotating Earth with Maxwell viscoelastic rheology. The SLE is an integral equation that was introduced in the 70s to model the sea level variations in response to the melting of late Pleistocene ice sheets, but it can also be employed to present-day melting of continental ice-sheets. SELEN can compute vertical and horizontal surface displacements, gravity variations and sea level changes on a global and regional scale. SELEN (acronym of SEa Level EquatioN solver) is particularly oriented to scientists at their first approach to the glacial isostatic adjustment (GIA) problem and, according to our experience, it can be successfully used in teaching.

Another way to accomplish this objective is minimizing counterproductive behaviors of employees. Many researches have been conducted on the counterproductive work behaviors, which damages the organizations in terms of cost and time. In most of these studies, counterproductive work behaviors generally is evaluated within negative work behaviors and viewed under many different concepts. However counterproductive work behaviors, covering many negative behavior, is an approach which has its own dimensions and types. It consists of behaviors such as physical and verbal assault, product deviance, purposely work incorrectly, sabotage, theft and withdrawal (absenteeism, purposely going to work late, taking longer breaks, leaving work earlier etc.). In the light of a comprehensive literature review, this study aims drawing the boundaries of the subject and revealing its types and dimensions

SELEN User Manual - Version 2.9
The open source program SELEN solves numerically the so–called “Sea Level Equation” (SLE) for a spherical, layered, non–rotating Earth with Maxwell viscoelastic rheology.
The SLE is an integral equation that was introduced in the 70s to model the sea level variations in response to the melting of late–Pleistocene ice–sheets, but it can also be employed for predictions of geodetic quantities in response to present-day melting of continental ice-sheets.
The current release (2.9) considerably improves the previous version of the code in terms of computational efficiency, portability and versatility. As far as we know, SELEN is the only open source program designed for solving the SLE.
SELEN 2.9 solves the SLE following the classical theory of ?. In the future release of SELEN (SELEN 3.0), which is under development, two important new features will be introduced: the rotational feedback on sea level and the horizontal migration of shorelines in response to sea level change.
This User guide describes the essentials of the theory behind the SLE, and provides instructions for the configuration and execution of SELEN

The ideal amount of selenium is between 40 and 400 µg per day. Selenium can be found naturally in the earth's crust and in various foods, so that with a traditional and varied diet, it should not be difficult to stay within the recommended amount. If selenium deficiency is prevalent, dietary supplements containing selenium may also be an option to maintain the levels.
If the amount of selenium is below the recommended limit over time, a selenium deficiency may be developed. If the intake of selenium exceeds the recommended limits over time, serious diseases can also develop. Selenium has a documented positive health effect on two endemic Chinese diseases, Keshan disease and Kashin-Beck disease. These diseases degenerate in selenium-poor areas in China, and it has been documented that supplements of selenium can prevent the diseases. The main focus in this thesis is if selenium can have a positive health effect on various public diseases in our part of the world.
The connection between selenium and cardiovascular disease and cancer has also been researched for several years, and there are many different studies that include this very topic. Due to the pandemic that is taking place in the world, research has now also been started on whether selenium can help to reduce the risk of getting COVID-19
Dynamic Capabilities for Service Innovation in Service Systems
One of the principal drivers of productivity growth is innovation, which includes not only technological but nontechnological innovations. A key element of nontechnological innovation is skills which drives a large part of productivity improvement at the organizational level. Scholars have enunciated that innovation in services is brought to market through collaboration, asset orchestration, technological adoption, and knowledge-based competencies. To this effect, the role of human capital in promoting service innovation is identified in the innovation literature. Further, service innovation in a service ecosystem is centered on the resource-based definition, where services are treated as an application of competencies, making use of knowledge, skills and experience of all stakeholders. In addition, the process-based definition of service highlights the important role customers play in the service production process, where the customer themselves are an input to the service delivery process. Amidst resource limitations and acute competition, service firms need to therefore not only upskill the human talent of their employees and customers, but also reconfigure, renew, and redeploy resources and capabilities on an ongoing basis. This indeed highlights the importance of capabilities required to facilitate the creation of sustainable competitive advantage, which are not ubiquitously available in large proportion amongst service organizations. It is in this context that we identify and explore in this chapter the role played by service firms’ learning capacity to deploy operational and dynamic capabilities across service systems. This chapter highlights an entire suite of dynamic capabilities which are made up of higher order competencies, such as relationship capital, organizational learning, collaborative agility, entrepreneurial alertness, innovative capacity, and customer engagement, which are instrumental to service firms for innovation
