    Scott-Russell based lifting ramp

Nakon toga u drugom dijelu rada analizirani su odabrani pogonski sustavi rampe, s ciljem dobivanja odgovarajućih vrijednosti opterećenja s obzirom na dimenzije i ostala konstrukcijska ograničenja, te je na kraju proveden analitički proračun svih kritičnih dijelova konstrukcije i te su u konačnici generirani CAD modeli sa pripadajućom tehničkom dokumentacijom u programskom paketu SOLIDWORKS.The task of this thesis is the design of a lift ramp for lifting an industrial vehicle with cargo between two levels of industrial facility, which must be based on the Scott-Russell mechanism. In doing so, some of the requirements were needed to be satisfied. Firstly the cargo and the vehicle were not allowed to be tilted. Secondly the compactness of the construction was needed to be as good as possible in order to occupy as small a pit mounting space as possible and ultimately to make the propulsion force as small as possible. When selecting and optimising the propulsion system, the aim was to make the propulsion force as uniform as it could to make the lifting speed relatively constant. In the first part of the thesis, an analysis of the existing solutions and operating principles of lifting ramps was carried out, in order to define the optimal solution for the given project parameters. After that, the selected ramp propulsion systems were analyzed in the second part of the thesis, with the aim of obtaining the appropriate load values with respect to dimensions and other structural limitations. Finally the analytical calculation of all critical parts of the construction was carried out. In the end, a CAD models with the corresponding technical documentation in the SOLIDWORKS software package were ultimately generated

Making a Home in a Restless World

A home is more than the set of rooms where we eat and sleep and pay the bills. It’s the starting point for all our journeys. It’s our place within a community and a landscape, the place where our needs are met—for protection, nourishment, companionship, education—and where we help meet the needs of others. Scott Russell Sanders will talk about ways of achieving a deep sense of home, even in the midst of a society that encourages us to be rootless
