Instituto de Estudios Críticos en Humanidades; Argentina.El tema que nos proponemos trabajar en la tesis, es el momento europeo de la trayectoria y la obra de José Carlos Mariátegui, momento que se abre a partir de viaje a Europa a fines del año 1919 y donde permanece residiendo hasta 1923. Son tres los aspectos sobre los cuales nos interesa, particularmente, enfocar la mirada. Por un lado, la lectura realizada acerca del fascismo, problema que desarrolla y acerca del cual escribe, en primer lugar, durante su estadía en el continente europeo, pero que seguirá retrabajando una vez ya vuelto a su Perú natal. En segundo lugar, a los vínculos que establece y las impresiones que ensaya sobre los movimientos de las vanguardias estético-políticas europeas, es decir con el futurismo, el expresionismo y el surrealismo.
Por último, al proceso de formación político-intelectual que experimenta en Italia, es decir las lecturas a las cuales accede, los interlocutores con los cuales intercambia y las experiencias políticas que le dan un marco. Situarnos en este momento de su trayectoria vital y en estos núcleos temáticos de la producción de Mariátegui, nos permite ahondar en una dimensión de su trabajo que ha quedado generalmente desplazada –y, a veces, ignorada- por el privilegio que se le ha otorgado al estudio de sus escritos acerca de Latinoamérica. Así, creemos que poner el eje en este momento nos permitirá pensar a Mariátegui como protagonista de los debates y discusiones al interior del marxismo del período de entreguerras, profundizando estas polémicas e intentando rastrear las resonancias que las discusiones en torno a estos ejes tuvieron en la realidad política latinoamericana. A la vez, nos posibilitará lograr una mayor comprensión de su concepción del marxismo, de la relación que establece entre política y religión; entre política y mito; y política y literatura. Finalmente, es preciso interpretar a Mariátegui en relación a un conjunto de intelectuales que, en el ámbito europeo y latinoamericano, están reflexionando sobre los mismos tópicos, y con los cuales él ha mantenido algún tipo de correspondencia o debate durante estos años
The trajectory of the PRT-ERP at Swift (1965-1976)
Get PDFEn este artículo nos proponemos abordar la trayectoria del PRT-ERP en el frigorífico Swift de Rosario, en el periodo transcurrido entre 1965 y 1976. Analizaremos las diferentes estrategias que la organización se fue dando a lo largo del tiempo para poder acercarse a la clase trabajadora de ese establecimiento y convertirse en una referencia político-sindical. Estas incluyeron la proletarización de sectores medios, el acompañamiento de listas opositoras, la creación de una agrupación propia y el impulso a la actividad reivindicativa, los debates en torno a la política militar en relación con la cuestión sindical, las formas de liarse con los barrios obreros por fuera del marco del lugar de trabajo yel intento por "crear el Partido en las fábricas". Además, prestaremos especial atención a los vínculos y las tensiones entre la política sindical y la cuestión militar.The aim of this article is to address the trajectory of PRT-ERP at the meat processing plant "Swfit", among the period 1965-1976. We intend to analyze the different strrategies developed by the organization to be able to approach the working class of that factory and become a political and trade unión reference. These estrategies included the proletarianization of middle sectors, the accompaniment of opposition lists, the creation of their own group, the debates around military policy in relation to the union issue, the ways of getting involved with the neighborhoods and, to the attempt to "create the Party in the factory" In addition, we will pay special attention to the links and tensions between trade union politics and the military issue.Fil: Scoppetta, Laura. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
