Unaware of this, Wight proposed another name for the same plant as <i>P. thyrsoidea</i> (because of the thyrse or panicle nature of the inflorescence) in his <i>Icones Plantarum Indiae Orientalis</i> (t. 1485) and wrote “ <i>before Schauer’s Monograph reached me I have named this plant P. thyrsoidea, a name which, being anticipated, must now give place to the older name</i> ”. Hence the name <i>P. thyrsoidea</i> will consider as a ‘ <i>pro syn.</i> ’ as per Art. 36.1 and 50.A(1) of Shenzhen code (Turland <i>et al.</i> 2012). During the study, we have traced a single sheet of Wight’s collections <i>viz</i>. Soratoor (K001114134) and Dindigul (K001114132) from Kew herbarium. Both two specimens were mounted on a single sheet [Soratoor-left side upper portion (two fruiting twigs), Dindigul-left side bottom and right side (three flowering and fruiting twigs)]. Both specimens are well preserved and but the Dindigul collection having both flowers and fruits compared to the Soratoor collection (bear only fruits). According to Art. 9.3 of Shenzhen code (Turland <i>et al.</i> 2012) the collection from Dindigul (barcode No. K001114132) is considered as the best choice among the other original material, which is congruent to the description provided and provenance mentioned in the protologue, hence designated here as the lectotype.</p> <p> <b>Specimens examined:—</b> India.     Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     The single-two-electron reduction for the Fe-Fe bonded dinuclear complexes Fe-2(CO)(6)(mu(2)-PR2)(2) (R = CH3, 1-CH3; R = CF3, 1-CF3) is studied by electronic structure calculations based on density functional theory (DFT) methods. Several theoretical models are evaluated, including gas-phase models and models that include solvation (COSMO model) and/or countercations. The experimentally observed cleavage: of the Fe-Fe bond upon addition of electrons is reproduced in all calculations. The different theoretical models are evaluated by calculating the energy of the disproportionation reaction 2A(-) --&gt; A + A(2-) using the energies of the complexes [1-R](0), [1-R](-), and [1-R](2-). As expected, gas-phase calculations poorly-model the experimental redox behavior, and the inclusion of salvation or: countercations is necessary to correctly: predict that the disproportionation reaction is energetically downhill. The distribution of the added electrons over the molecules and the charge distribution as a function of alkali:metal countercation (Li+, Na+, K+) are evaluated using the Hirshfeld charge analysis scheme.     Die Shutdown-Dissoziationsskala wurde als strukturiertes Interview zur Diagnose einer etwaigen Dissoziationsneigung entwickelt. Die Itemgenerierung (15 Items) basiert auf den evolutionsbiologischen Grundlagen des Abwehrkaskadenmodells nach Schauer und Elbert (2010). Reliabilität: Die Skala zeigt eine hohe interne Konsistenz mit Cronbachs Alpha = .89. Der Retest-Reliabilitätsindex ist ebenfalls hoch (rtt = .93). Validität: Eine Faktorenanalyse ergab Hinweise auf eine eindimensionale Faktorstruktur. Die konvergente Validität wurde mit dem DES (Bernstein & Putnam, 1986) nachgewiesen (r = .86). Die Shutdown-Dissoziationsskala trennt Patienten mit unterschiedlicher Anzahl traumatischer Erlebnistypen und Psychopathologie von gesunden Probanden. Weiterhin differenziert die Skala Diagnosegruppen, die mit unterschiedlichem Traumabelastungsausmaß assoziiert sind. Die Konfrontation mit traumatischen Ereignistypen mit großer Nähe zum Angreifer verstärken das Auftreten und die Vielfalt von Dissoziationen (prädiktive Validität). Weiter zeigt sich ein höheres Ausmaß der Shutdown-Dissoziationen bei Patienten mit größeren Symptombelastungen (PTSB und Depression). Normen: Es liegen Cut-off-Werte vor. So kann der dissoziative Subtyp nach DSM-5 bei einer PTSB und einem Summenwert auf der Shutdown-Dissoziationsskala > = 16 diagnostiziert werden.The shutdown dissociation scale was developed as a structured interview to diagnose a possible dissociation tendency. The item generation (15 items) is based on the evolutionary biological principles of the defence cascade model according to Schauer and Elbert (2010). Reliability: The scale shows a high internal consistency with Cronbach's alpha = .89. The retest reliability index is also high (rtt = .93). Validity: A factor analysis revealed indications of a one-dimensional factor structure. Convergent validity was demonstrated with the DES (Bernstein & Putnam, 1986) (r = .86). The shutdown dissociation scale separates patients with different numbers of traumatic experience types and psychopathology from healthy subjects. Furthermore, the scale differentiates diagnosis groups associated with different degrees of trauma burden. The confrontation with traumatic event types with great proximity to the attacker reinforces the occurrence and variety of dissociations (predictive validity). Furthermore, a higher degree of shutdown dissociations is shown in patients with greater symptom burden (PTSB and depression). Norms: Cut-off values are available. Thus, the dissociative subtype according to DSM-5 can be diagnosed with PTSB and a sum value on the shutdown dissociation scale > = 16.reviewedpublishedVersio

    Both spending and tax policies have been implemented in the United States with the goal of stimulating private sector research and development (R&D). Karier questions whether current R&D policy, especially the research and experimentation tax credit, can contribute to closing the gap between nondefense expenditures on R&D in the United States and such expenditures in other countries, such as Japan and Germany. He also explores possible changes to our current R&D policy to make it more effective.

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. BMC Psychiatry. 2009;9(1):22.Background: The North-Eastern part of Sri Lanka had already been affected by civil war when the 2004 Tsunami wave hit the region, leading to high rates of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in children. In the acute aftermath of the Tsunami we tested the efficacy of two pragmatic short-term interventions when applied by trained local counselors. Methods: A randomized treatment comparison was implemented in a refugee camp in a severely affected community. 31 children who presented with a preliminary diagnosis of PTSD were randomly assigned either to six sessions Narrative Exposure Therapy for children (KIDNET) or six sessions of meditation-relaxation (MED-RELAX). Outcome measures included severity of PTSD symptoms, level of functioning and physical health. Results: In both treatment conditions, PTSD symptoms and impairment in functioning were significantly reduced at one month post-test and remained stable over time. At 6 months follow-up, recovery rates were 81% for the children in the KIDNET group and 71% for those in the MED-RELAX group. There was no significant difference between the two therapy groups in any outcome measure. Conclusion: As recovery rates in the treatment groups exceeded the expected rates of natural recovery, the study provides preliminary evidence for the effectiveness of NET as well as meditation-relaxation techniques when carried out by trained local counselors for the treatment of PTSD in children in the direct aftermath of mass disasters.
