Embedding almost-complex manifolds in almost-complex euclidean spaces
We show that any compact almost-complex manifold (M, J) of complex dimension m can be pseudo-holomorphically embedded in R6m equipped with a suitable almost-complex structure
SoCRATES: Scala radar for test smells
Test smells are indications of poorly designed unit tests. Previous studies have demonstrated their negative impact on test understanding and maintenance. Moreover, surveys show that developers are not able to identify test smells, hindering optimal software quality. Automated tools can aid developers to handle these issues and detect test smells in the early stage of software development. However, few tools are publicly available and all of them target JUnit - the most popular testing framework in Java. To overcome these limitations, we propose SoCRATES. This fully automated tool is able to identify six test smells in Scala Test which is the most prevalent testing framework in Scala. An empirical investigation on 164 Scala projects shows that our tool is able to reach a high precision without sacrificing recall. Moreover, the results show that Scala projects have a lower diffusion than Java projects. We make SoCRATES publicly available as an IntelliJ IDEA plugin, as well as an open-source project in order to facilitate the detection of test smells

Enzymic Acylation of Methyl D- and L-Glucopyranosides and 6-Deoxy-glucopyranosides
Methyl 6-O-butyryl-alpha-D- and L-glucopyranosides and methyl 6-deoxy-alpha-D- and L-glucopyranosides have been submitted to lipase catalyzed butyrylation, using porcine pancreatic, Candida cylindracea, and Pseudomonas cepacia lipases in organic solvents. The influence of the orientation of the secondary hydroxyl groups on the regioselectivity of the butyrylation is discussed
Minimal Immersions of Kahler manifolds into Euclidean Spaces
It is proved here that a minimal isometric immersion of a Kähler-Einstein or homogeneous Kähler-manifold into an Euclidean space must be totally geodesic
Bioctive glycoglycerolipid analogues: an expeditious enzymatic approach to mono- and diesters of 2-O-beta-D-galactoglycerol
2-O-β-D-Galactosylglycerol 1 was submitted to acylation using Pseudomonas cepacia or Candida antarctica lipases as catalysts and 2,2,2- trifluoroethyl esters of butanoic, hexanoic, octanoic or decanoic acid as acyl carriers. Taking advantage of the high diastereoselectivity and regioselectivity of the two enzymes, the 1-O-, 3-O-, 6'-O-acyl and the 1,6'- di-O-acylderivatives of 1 were obtained pure or in an appreciably enriched form

Minimal homogeneous submanifolds in euclidean spaces
We prove that minimal (extrinsically) homogeneous submanifolds of the Euclidean space are totally geodesic. As an application, we obtain that a complex (intrisecally) homogeneous submanifold of a complex Euclidean space must be totally geodesic
