Estimation of Carbon Dioxide Emission and Sequestration from the Cradle-to-Grave Life Cycle of Bioethanol from Nipa Palm (Nypa fruticans) Sap
The increasing demand for renewable energy has driven research into sustainable biofuel alternatives. This study evaluates the carbon balance of bioethanol produced from the sap of the Nipa palm (Nypa fruticans), a mangrove species with significant carbon sequestration potential. A cradle-to-grave life cycle assessment was conducted to estimate the total carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from bioethanol production and compare it with the CO2 absorbed by the Nipa palm. The assessment covered emissions from transportation, fermentation, distillation, and distribution. The findings show that Nipa palms exhibit a substantial CO2 sequestration capacity, averaging 21,785 kg CO2/ha/year. The gate-to-gate emissions for producing 95% hydrous ethanol (H95F) and 99% hydrous ethanol (H99F) were calculated to be 1,075.91 kg CO2/ha and 11,552.94 kg CO2/ha, respectively. By comparing emissions against sequestration, the study reveals a significant positive carbon balance. The net balance for H95F production was -20,709.09 kg CO2/ha/year, and for H99F, it was -10,232.06 kg CO2/ha/year. This indicates that the bioethanol production system from Nipa sap is not only carbon neutral but carbon negative, as the Nipa palm cultivation absorbs more CO2 than the entire production process emits. Furthermore, compared to gasoline, which emits approximately 2.91 kg CO2-eq per liter, Nipa bioethanol presents a much lower carbon footprint. These results underscore the potential of Nipa palm bioethanol as a sustainable and environmentally beneficial fuel source that contributes to mitigating climate change by reducing greenhouse gas concentrations

The primary energy supply in Indonesia is still dominated by fossil fuels, leading to a significant increase in CO2-eq emissions, particularly from the transportation and industrial sectors. The Indonesian government has implemented the B40 program (a blend of 40% biodiesel and 60% petroleum diesel) to mitigate CO2-eq emissions. This research aims to calculate the total CO2-eq emissions throughout the entire life cycle of B100 production based on the principles of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) as specified in SNI ISO 14040:2016 and SNI ISO 14044:2017. The analysis compares the CO2-eq emissions of conventional diesel (B0) and B100. The results indicate that B100 has the potential to reduce particulate emissions by 40-60%, carbon monoxide (CO) by 10-50%, and hydrocarbons (HC) by 10-50% compared to B0. The CO2-eq emission factor for B0 was found to be 4,354.81 kg CO2-eq/kL, and for B100 it was 2,155.64 kg CO2-eq/kL. This demonstrates a significant reduction in emissions with the use of B100, resulting in a decrease of 2,199.17 kg CO2-eq/kL or 50.50% from B0. However, the study also highlights the environmental challenges associated with the expansion of oil palm plantations, including deforestation and land degradation, which contribute to CO2 emissions
DINAMIKA KONFLIK SURIAH PADA MASA PEMERINTAHAN BASHAR AL-ASSAD
This paper departs from the conflict that occurred in Syrian City, so it makes the author interested in trying to understand the basic problems that are the cause of the conflict. In addition, the author also tries to see who the actors who played a role in the conflict are, as well as the impact that the Syrian conflict has on the international world. The Syrian conflict has been going on for forty years to date, and the conflict has not yet seen its end. Since March 2011 the conflict in Syria has claimed so many lives, thousands of people have been displaced, and thousands of children orphaned. Many houses collapsed, infrastructure and public facilities were destroyed due to the conflict. Data on the Syrian conflict is collected from books, journals, and the web. These data are then categorized, systematized, and analyzed according to the purpose of writing. This paper concludes that the cause of the conflict in Syria is not due to differences in religious sects but rather the political and economic interests of the opposition opponents of Assad and opposition-supporting countries. There are three actors who play a role in the Syrian conflict: President Bashar al-Assad and his supporters, the Syrian opposition, and the Jihadist group. The resulting impact of the Syrian conflict is the large number of casualties that have fallen and the problem of refugees. From the time of the conflict in March 2011 to April 2013, The death toll was 150,000. Meanwhile, the displaced population is 2.4 million people, which is dominated by women and children. Meanwhile, 4 million Syrians are homeless. For the international community, the Syrian conflict has an impact on the handling of refugees
Exploring the Medieval Relationship between Islam and Christianity: Historical Context, Cultural Exchange, Religious Conflicts, and Significance
This research delves into the historical context, cultural exchange, religious conflicts, and significance of the relationship between Islam and Christianity during the Medieval. The study aims to gain an understanding of the complex dynamics, alliances, misunderstandings, and transformations that characterized this important era. By exploring primary sources, scholarly analysis, and historical records, this research uncovers the mutual influences, cultural exchanges, intellectual dialogues, and tensions arising from the coexistence and interaction of Islam and Christianity during the medieval period. The research contributes to a broader understanding of the historical legacies of Islam and Christianity, both separately and in relation to each other, highlighting the enduring consequences of their interaction on the development of religious traditions, intellectual thought, and cultural practices that continue to shape our world today. The author uses qualitative methods with literature study and documentation to collect historical information using historiography techniques. The results of the research show that this fluctuative relationship means that the relationship between the two religions cannot be fully generalized. There have been periods of cooperation and peace, but there have also been periods of tension and conflict between these two religions

In the last 10 years, the research about the technology of bionanocomposite synthesis has increased rapidly,starting from the simple technology to advanced technology of synthesis. From the several technologies ofsynthesis of bionanocomposite that have been developed, each has its own advantages and disadvantages.Therefore, the selection of the right technology of synthesis of bionanocomposite is one of the indicators of successin its synthesis. This review identified the latest developments in technology of synthesis of bionanocomposite andfocuses on methods of synthesis of bionanocomposite was most widely used and a technology that has advantagesover other technologies. It is hoped that this review can provide information about methods of synthesis ofbionanocomposite in general and specifically can provide information about methods of synthesis ofbionanocomposite reinforced with mono-diacylglycerol (M-DAG) and cellulose nanocrystal (CNC). Based on theidentification from several result of research, potential method to synthesis of bionanocomposite are combinationof two methods, namely twin-screw extrusion method and injection molding method. RANCANG BANGUN APLIKASI UNTUK MENGELOMPOKKAN TOPIK TWEET DARI TWITTER DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PEMODELAN AUTHOR-TOPIC MODEL (STUDI KASUS: AKUN TWITTER POLITISI INDONESIA)
Twitter merupakan sebuah platform untuk berhubungan satu sama lain agar
tetap berkomunikasi dan tetap terhubung dengan mengirim pesan cepat dan daring.
Pada Twitter juga dapat membuat tweet yang berisi foto, video, tautan, atau teks.
Pada aplikasi Twitter pengguna cenderung lebih mengutarakan isi hati yang
sebenarnya dibandingkan dengan platform media sosial lainnya. Pada tahun 2020
ini telah terjadi wabah atau pandemi Covid-19 dan pada akhir tahun bulan
Desember akan diselenggarakan pilkada serentak seluruh Indonesia. Dari hal
tersebut dibutuhkannya sebuah platform yang mampu memberikan informasi visual
terhadap aktivitas politisi dalam hal mengutarakan isi hatinya di media sosial
Twitter dengan melakukan topic modelling terhadap aktivitas politisi tersebut
ketika membuat sebuah tulisan atau tweet menggunakan metode Author-Topic
Models. Penelitian ini dikhususkan untuk menganalisa data tweet akun Twitter
politisi di Indonesia, proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara crawling data
pada user timeline aplikasi Twitter. Setelah data didapatkan kemudian akan
dianalisa dengan menggunakan Author-Topic Models dan dilakukan visualisasi
terhadap topik pembahasan berdasarkan tweet yang telah dibuat oleh masingmasing akun Twitter politisi. Melalui proses topic modelling, telah didapatkan hasil
terbaik berupa 3 topik. Model 3 topik tersebut dikatakan terbaik karena memiliki
nilai perplexity terendah diantara jumlah topik lain yang diuji. 3 topik yang
terbentuk dianalisis dan diterjemahkan ke dalam label kategori, yaitu “Rakyat Tolak
RUU Cipta Kerja”, “Ucapan Syukur saat Pandemi”, “Kondisi Ekonomi saat
Pandemi” dengan jumlah data tweet yang digunakan adalah 24846 data tweet dari
36 akun Twitter politisi.

Perancangan Sistem Komunikasi Menggunakan User Datagram Protocol Metode Unicast pada Robot R2C-Warrior
Robotic Research Center (R2C) is a robotic team from Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW). R2C has two divisions, one of them is R2C-Warrior team that took a part in wheeled soccer competition (KRSBI Beroda). When designing the robot, R2C-Warrior uses a laptop to process the algorithm and three Arduino microcontrollers to read sensors and drive an actuators. Uses Serial for communication between laptop and Arduino which is connected via the Universal Serial Bus (USB) port. Using Serial in this design has disadvantages, that are only one Arduino can connected to the laptop and the received data sometimes is lost or wrong with a data loss rate is 28% and data error rate is 4% in 1000 times data transmissions. To solve this problems, the author made a system using Ethernet instead USB with advantages can connect a laptop with three Arduino microcontrollers at once, and use User Datagram Protocol (UDP) with Unicast method instead Serial, because UDP has a checksum to ensure that sent or received data has no errors. Based on testing that has been done, this system has no data errors in testing data transmissions, both from laptop to Arduino, Arduino to laptop, and Arduino to Arduino. Other than that, this system doesn’t have a problems when there is no communication or when receiving data from unknown device(s), and also can filtered data when there is available data from unknown device(s)

The teachings and instructions of the Qur'an relate to various concepts that are really needed by humans in navigating their lives in this world and in the hereafter. Gratitude is considered one of the foundations of Islamic education. Islamic education aims to instill values such as faith, worship and morals in individuals to become better humans. The type of research that the author uses in this research is literature study. In life, no matter how small something we receive we should be grateful. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to direct the thoughts in their minds to always be grateful for what we get every day. Al-Qur'an There are many benefits from being grateful and there are also many bad things if we are not grateful. The Qur'an also explains that gratitude is a result and goal of the creation of the universe and also the most important result of the creation of living creatures is gratitude to Allah SWT.Ajaran dan petunjuk Al-Qur’an tersebut berkaitan dengan berbagai konsep yang amat dibutuhkan oleh manusia dalam mengarungi kehidupannya didunia ini dan diakhirat kelak. Syukur dianggap sebagai salah satu landasan pendidikan Islam. Pendidikan Islam bertujuan untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai seperti keimanan, ibadah, dan akhlak pada diri individu agar menjadi manusia yang lebih baik. Jenis penelitian yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka. Dalam hidup, sekecil apa pun sesuatu yang kita terima seharusnya disyukuri. Sayangnya tidak semua orang mampu mengarahkan pikiran yang ada di benaknya untuk selalu mensyukuri apa yang kita dapatkan setiap hari. Al-Qur’an Banyak sekali manfaat dari bersyukur dan banyak sekali juga keburukan apabila kita tidak bersyukur.
