Hepatoprotective activity of sea cucumber Phyllophorus sp. extract in carp (Cyprinus carpio)
Many procedures continuously in aquaculture and scientific research like tagging and vaccinating cause pain,
involving damaging tissue and also cause stress responses in fish. Stress responses in fish influence liver because liver
have vital role to supply energy and metabolism. Histology alteration in liver is caused by stress response like changes of
vacuolation hepatocyte and characteristic colour. Triterpenoid was known had hepatoprotective activity. One of marine
organism contained triterpenoid was sea cucumber. Result of research showed that liver tissue in fish with injected acetic
acid 5 % (in upper lip) as pain stimulus have histopathology damages such as pyknosis (medium damage level) and
oedema (heavy damage level) after 8 hour injection. Injected Lidocaine 1mg/fish as analgesic drug have histopathology
damages such as oedema (heavy damages level), necrosis and pyknosis (low damages level). Injected acetic acid 5 % (in

Non-native species existence and its potency to be invasive species on freshwater ecosystem in East Java Province, Indonesia
The introduction of non-native species that have been carried out so far has
raised several diverse opinions about the resulting impacts, either positive or
negative. As one of the leading commodities in aquaculture, the significant
impact of the culture of common carp species (Cyprinus carpio) has been felt
by the community. That kind of fish has dominated for both consumption and
ornamental fish production in East Java. This type of fish is considered
equivalent to other native fish in this region, such as tawes (Puntius
javanicus), catfish (Clarias batracus), and gourami (Ospronemus gouramy).
However, the problem is if the non-native fish become invasive species in the
open waters. When the spread of the non-native fish is out of control, it is
feared will break down the food chain and community structure of other
native fishes. As Arapaima gigas, the carnivore fish that are not native fish of
Indonesia, which have found along the Brantas River, East Java, Indonesia.
Rigorous precautions and regulations are needed so that introduced species
become species that do not endanger their new habitat by considering
ecological, economic, and other impacts. The study of genetic diversity and
native species is essential to be done so that the database baseline is accurate
and valid
New Recorded of Saltwater Crocodile Crocodylus porosus Schneider, 1801 from East Coast Mangrove Ecosystem in Surabaya, East Jawa, Indonesia
A single specimen of saltwater crocodile Crocodylus porosus Schneider, 1801 (1.50 cm in length) was captured and photographed by a local fisherman by gill net at fishpond around mangrove ecosystem of east coast Surabaya on December 2020. The location where the estuarine crocodile caught is an important wetland area in Surabaya with an excellent mangrove cover. Wonorejo mangrove location is about 10 km from the centre of Surabaya, the second-largest city in Indonesia. This finding is considered as a first reported of C. porosus in Surabaya, and at the same time is proof of the importance of the mangrove area on the east coast of Surabaya as a habitat for wildlife that must be conserved appropriately. Routine monitoring of mangrove areas, including their wildlife, is essential so that they are not displaced by the development of the city which changes the land function to become a residential area
Molecular Identification and Phylogenetic Tree Reconstruction of Marine Fish from the Essential Wetland Area of Banyuwangi, Indonesia
Pangpang Bay is necessary to get serious attention because it is one of
the essential wetlands in Banyuwangi, Indonesia. This area able to generate
income for traditional fishers and ecological supports the surrounding area
because it is possible to be a spawning area and nursery ground for many
estuary fish. The identification of fisheries resources is carried out using a
molecular approach in the Cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) region that
is commonly used in barcoding. Identification with this method is expected
to minimize errors in determining the name of the species of species that
exist in Pangpang Bay. Based on molecular identification information in the
COI region, 37 marine fish species were distributed in 25 families, and 4
orders. The results of this study are the initials of molecular information on
fisheries resources in the Pangpang Bay area

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
