Análise das manisfestações patológicas no hospital e maternidade Santa Rita- Alto Santo-CE
In Brazil, reinforced concrete buildings gain more and more space in research and design specifications. This has as its main factor, problems that must be avoided in order to preserve the useful life of buildings, such as the incidence of pathological manifestations. The work aimed at analyzing these manifestations in a public hospital in a serious state of deterioration, problematization, which affects the population of the municipality great concern with the use and occupation of the building. This problem can have its primary incidence in the phases of design, execution or maintenance, which increasingly justifies the relevance of the research. In this way, this work synthesizes parameters of extreme importance in the study of the Pathology of the buildings, leaving in evidence the main problems that these incidents can entail. From this, a case study was carried out at Hospital and Maternidade Santa Rita in the city of Alto Santo / CE, including the execution of tests and the application of the GUT matrix analysis method. The methodology adopted was initially through a survey of bibliographical research to study the problem itself and visual inspection to obtain the diagnosis of the manifestation. The results revealed high indexes of manifestation with causes due to humidity, besides having a great structural problem located in the pillars of the access Hall and some geometric and mapped cracks. After application of the GUT Matrix we saw that the cracks in the concrete structures show high criticality. Thus, it was concluded that hospital safety may be compromised because concrete structures present a critical critical index. We also noticed the various problems caused by humidity in the building, which cause users feelings of repulsion for example. Finally, it is also concluded the need for further studies with tests that prove the true diagnosis of the elements.
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Caracterização do abastecimento de água no município de Alto Santo-Ce
MonografiaWater is an indispensable natural resource for life, it is essential for the development of practically all the activities carried out by man on Earth; however it is a limited resource and its distribution is uneven. The objective of this study is to perform the diagnosis of water supply in the municipality of Alto Santo - CE. The research was carried out with on-site visits to the Water Supply System (SAA) of the municipality. Analyzes of water samples from the CAGECE and City Hall sources were carried out through physicochemical and microbiological tests in the CAGECE and Jaguaribana Regional University laboratories, respectively, following the standard procedures established by Ministry of Health 508 and pressure monitoring carried out in the distribution network with the installation of a datalogger. Data were collected from the residents, through interviews, being applied in a finite population, with a sample of 100 residences. By means of a diagnosis, it is concluded that the water supply in the municipality of Alto Santo presents several problems related to quantity and quality, in order to not meet current demand. CAGECE has not been able to universalize the service, and most of the users have been creating alternative systems of water supply (well drilling and car pipes). The analyzes of the water quality distributed by CAGECE presented results outside the potability standards required by ordinance no. 2,914 / 2011; the results of physical-chemical reports presented nonconformity indexes; and the results of the bacteriological analyzes of the samples collected at the exit of the treatment and the SAA distribution network showed non-compliance with the presence of total coliforms (NMP / 100ml) in one of the samples. The water distributed by the municipal government does not go through any type of treatment: according to research, 100% of the samples were found to be in disagreement with the current legislation, regarding turbidity, apparent color, PH and residual chlorine; 100% of the analyzes carried out on PT 01 samples showed noncompliance for total coliforms and 100% of the analyzes performed on PT 02 samples showed compliance with the standards established by Ordinance MS 2,914 / 11.A água é um recurso natural indispensável à vida, é essencial para o desenvolvimento de praticamente todas as atividades realizadas pelo homem sobre a Terra; no entanto é um recurso limitado e sua distribuição é desigual.
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
koamabayili/VECTRON-author-checklist: VECTRON author checklist
We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
