Matilde Serao in Sweden. A Voice of "The New Italy"
This chapter examines the contemporary reception of Matilde Serao's works in Swedish newspapers from 1885 to the first years of the twentieth century. This analysis provides a historical background for understanding why Serao's masterpiece Il paese di cuccagna (1891) was translated in Swedish as early as 1892. In fact, Serao was already known to the Swedish public through the activity of C.D. af Wirsén, an important conservative critic who reviewed her original work and contributed to establishing Serao's reputation as a major contemporary author. Furthermore, examination of recently digitalized Swedish newspapers shows that Serao's short stories were published on at least twenty occasions from 1888 to 1897. These anonymous translations can be attributed with a high degree of probability to the pen of Ellen Lundberg-Nyblom, the translator of Il paese di cuccagna. Swedish reviewers greeted Serao as a master of vivid description and an insightful painter of human passions. At the same time, the fact that Serao, being a woman, was professionally active as a journalist and a newspaper editor attracted attention of Swedish media, transforming the Neapolitan author into a public figure known to a broader audience.
Mourning and memory. The Dock, by Matilde Sánchez
In this article I try to analyze the textuality of El Dock, by the argentinian author Matilde Sanchez, where memory and oblivion trace the fragments and remains of a subjetivity. In this case, the first person narration tells of a friendship between two women, which has been interrupted. It is a question, after several years, of restoring those survivals where the motives of a private nature intersect with the history and politics of the country, in a determined context. And it seeks to read the figure of an experience that the narrator registers and recovers to return to the friend form an absence and a silence that seemed unappealable.

The work written by the Colombian poet Matilde Espinosa de Pérez de serves to be
known and recognized by the literary review, so according to this, the article below is a study
about two of her last works: The dark land and The town gets into dark. This paper analyses the
poetic conception of the female author, the a esthetic connection of her work with her passing
within everyday life as a mother, woman and female writer and, the standing she considers
among pain, life and death as elements that constitutes her poetic ar
MMSE Precoding for Downlink Coordinated Base Station Transmission
In a Coordinated Base Station Transmission scenario for the downlink, we propose a precoding scheme based on a MMSE criterion to manage the inter-user interference. In order to allocate the transmitted power to each user's signal, we set up an iterative procedure based on a modified waterfllling distribution, which approaches the optimal performance with a viable complexity with respect to the numerical optimization. A further simplification may be introduced, giving a simple iterative waterfilling scheme, at the expense of some performance loss. The performance is illustrated obtaining the achievable rates for different antenna configurations and different kinds of power constraints. A comparison with a Block-Diagonalization approach shows the advantage of MMSE, in particular at low SNR
This article sets out to expose two central issues based on a story by Matilde Sánchez. The first one concerns literature as a space where legacies acquire form, become current and renew themselves. The second one refers to the return as an experience that erases the possibility of belonging and demands a critical distance from notions of origin and home. In this sense, the article reviews the functioning of the economy of travel: the capital it generates, the losses and profitsm the assets and yield.
