Darbs veltīts kategorijas `tukšums` izpausmju izpētei N.V. Gogoļa poēmā ‘Mirušās dvēseles’. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot kategorijas `tukšums` atspoguļojuma poēmā veidus, raksturot dotās kategorijas izpausmju īpatnības, likumsakarības un nozīmi poēmas kompozīcijā. Darbs sastāv no divām daļām. Pirmajā sniegta koncepta `tukšums` definīcija, kā arī apskatīti atsevišķi zinātniski darbi dotās problemātikas izpētē krievu literatūrā. Otrajā daļā darba autors, pielietojot analītisko literatūrzinātnes metodi, veica detalizētu izvēlēto poēmas ‘Mirušās dvēseles’ teksta segmentu analīzi. Tukšums, neesība, nekas, Mirušās dvēseles, Gogolis'Emptiness' in the poem "Dead souls" by N.V. Gogol
The following work is aimed at studying the appearances of the literary category of emptiness in the text of N. Gogol’s poem ‘Dead souls’. The main objective of the work is to discover the ways by which the emptiness category appears in the composition of the poem, and to find logic and meaning in those appearances. The work consists of two chapters. The first chapter defines the concept of emptiness, and also introduces some of the earlier scientific works on this matter in Russian literature. In the second chapter, using the analytical philological method the author creates a thorough analysis of the chosen fragments of the poem ‘Dead souls’. The work is dedicated to any person affiliated with philology, Gogol studies, or common interest in the subject of the study.
