Performance of Multimode-Fiber Coupler with Different Coupler Parameter for Displacement Sensor
Three multimode-fiber couplers with different coupling ratios, excess losses and directivities are used to sense adisplacement. The fiber coupler is handmade from 1 mm diameter plastic optical fiber. The light source is 632.8nm He-Ne Laser. OPT 101 (Burr Brown) detector is used to detect the change in power output due to theobject’s displacement. The opted displacement’s resolution is 5 μm. The experiment shows that multimode-ficecoupler with 0.25 ratio, 1.37 dB excess loss, and 25 dB directivity gives the highest performance, which has 4mm dynamic range, 1 mm linear range, and 55.4 μW/mm sensitivity. Higher performance can be reached ifmultimode-fiber coupler with the highest coupling ratio and the lowest excess loss is opted
KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR DITINJAU DARI KREATIVITAS BELAJAR DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR MAHASISWA
The research aims are to know: 1) the influence of learning creativity towards study
independence; 2) the influence of study motivation towards study independence, 3)
the influence of learning creativity and study motivation towards study
independence simultaneously. The research method used is descriptive quantitative.
The population is all of students of UMS in 2010/11 period around 190, sample is
123 by using simple random sampling technique. Data collecting used is questionnaire that was
tested and fulfilled validity and reliability requirement. Analysis data used doubled linier
regression Y = 10,163 + 0,452X1 + 0,349X2, based on analysis and discussion about students of
UMS in 2010 period can be concluded that: 1) learning creativity has positive influence towards
study independence, with significance value 0,000<0,05. (2) study motivation has positive influence
towards study independence, with significance value 0,000<0,05. (3) learning creativity and study
motivation towards study independence simultaneously have positive influence towards study
independence, with significance value 0,000<0,05. (4) The contribution of R2 is 0.376, it means
37,6% students study independence was influenced by learning creativity and study motivation
variables, the rest is 62,4% was influenced by other factors that did not follow in this research
Penerapan Prinsip Keadilan dalam Pembagian Risiko Kontrak Proyek Oil And Gas
Oil and gas projects are characterized by high technical complexity, large capital investment, and significant risk exposure, including technical, cost and time, health and safety (HSE), environmental, commercial, and regulatory risks. Contract design in oil and gas projects—particularly EPC/EPCI contracts and Production Sharing Contracts (PSC)—often raises issues of fairness in risk allocation between project owners and contractors. Imbalanced risk allocation practices tend to increase bid prices, trigger claims, and lead to contractual disputes. This article analyzes the application of fairness principles in risk allocation for oil and gas project contracts using a qualitative–normative approach through literature review and doctrinal analysis. The study integrates project risk allocation concepts, theories of fairness in contract law, and international standard practices such as FIDIC 2017 and knock-for-knock clauses. The findings indicate that fairness in risk allocation can be operationalized through criteria of control, capability, risk–reward symmetry, procedural transparency, and systemic impact. This article proposes a Fairness-Oriented Risk Allocation Framework (FORAF) as a conceptual approach to evaluate and design fairer risk allocation in oil and gas contracts. The framework is expected to reduce dispute potential and enhance the sustainability and performance of oil and gas projects, particularly in developing countries such as Indonesia
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Evaluasi Pelaksanaan Kebijakan Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) Dalam Pengentasan Kemiskinan di Kabupaten Tuban
The Family Hope Program (Program Keluarga Harapan or PKH) is established to alleviate poverty among underprivileged communities, particularly in the socio-economic, educational, and healthcare sectors. Research is conducted to examine (1) how the implementation of PKH alleviates poverty; (2) how the implementation of PKH is evaluated; and (3) the supporting and inhibiting factors of PKH in alleviating poverty in Tuban Regency. The research aims to analyze the implementation, evaluate it, and identify the factors involved. The qualitative approach is utilized, employing a case study research design to describe the implementation of PKH events, supported by both primary and secondary sources. Data triangulation techniques are applied to reduce, present, and draw conclusions. The overall results align with the plan, and multi-factor inhibitors can be addressed effectively, leading to the successful implementation of the PKH program. A deep understanding of conventional problems, increased coordination between stakeholders, and good communication are the keys to success in implementing the KPM-PKH assistance program in Bacan District, Tuban Regenc
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
