Biological science 3D modelling
Get PDFFunded by the Government of Ontario.This project creates 3D printable models that instructors can use to illustrate lecture content, and students and teaching assistants can manipulate the models to better facilitate understanding of the physical space and relationships of biological systems, organs, and cells. It supports experiential learning for biological science courses and increases access to enhanced learning for diverse groups of students. In order to help learning in biological science courses, we will offer a library of 3D-printable files for significant biology models. No full textThe purpose of this research which was conducted with Central Silk Board, Government of India organization is development of 6 haute couture pieces with innovative fabrics and ornamentation. Another motive was to preserve a traditional Indian silk fabric named "Ilkal" and the cultural practice of handloom. Unusual weft insertions namely Muga, Tussar, Eri, Mulberry Spun,Mulberry filature and Banana were done and fabrics were woven using pit loom. Textiles were ornamented through uniquely designed embroidery motifs. The fabrics were further tested for various aspects. Further consumer survey was conducted which yielded positive results. Garments are adorned at CSB Museum

Get PDFThis article sets out to critique India’s security discourse surrounding the ‘surgical strikes’ of September 2016, using the theoretical framework provided by securitisation. It aims to answer two central questions: First, can securitisation theory provide fresh empirical insights on India’s conflict with Pakistan over Jammu and Kashmir that have been overlooked by more traditional approaches to security studies? Secondly, in what way can this case further our understanding of securitisation and thus contribute to the development of the theory? In this article, I have argued that, much like a two-act play, India’s securitisation of the Pakistani threat occurred in two distinct (speech) acts. The first illocutionary move preceded the extraordinary measure of Indian troops crossing the Line of Control separating Indian- and Pakistani-administered Jammu and Kashmir. The second speech act followed this action and occurred when the Indian state uttered the words ‘surgical strikes.’ This defies securitisation theory’s chronological structure, which posits that the speech act always precedes the implementation of an exceptional measure. Secondly, I suggest that the Copenhagen School’s emphasis on the subjective nature of security and on the normative preferability of de-securitisation offers valuable insights on the empirical stalemate that is the Kashmir conflict

Carbon Dioxide Enhanced Oil Recovery (CO2-EOR) has gained prominence for its potential to boost hydrocarbon recovery and curtail the environmental impact of oil production. This research paper investigates the fusion of CO2 with EOR, harnessing the transformative power of nanotechnology. Nanoparticles, with their size-dependent properties, offer a promising avenue for augmenting CO2-based EOR. This study explores the nanoparticles that are experimented for reservoir conditions under CO2-EOR method, addressing challenges and future concerns. The paper assesses the on-field reality of nanoparticle-enhanced CO2-EOR methods. Environmental considerations are paramount, as nanotechnology minimizes CO2 emissions, aligning with sustainability goals, enhancing industry competitiveness, and promoting a greener energy future.</p>
