Variations on the Author
No full text“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

No full textEl síndrome de Down (SD) es la alteración cromosómica más frecuente. Se considera a la enfermedad periodontal como una de las patologías bucales prevalentes asociadas al mismo, que se manifiesta a temprana edad y de carácter rápidamente progresiva.
El presente artículo de revisión bibliográfica, tiene como objetivo aportar datos actualizados y relevantes sobre los factores condicionantes de la enfermedad bucal generados por la alteración congénita y su tratamiento odontológico específico.Down syndrome is the most frequent chromosomal alteration. Periodontal disease is considered one of the prevalent oral pathologies associated with it, which manifests itself at an early age and is rapidly progressive.

No full textEl presente trabajo de revisión bibliográfica, busca aportar datos actualizados y relevantes, sobre los cementos bioactivos utilizados en Odontopediatría para la regeneración de tejidos dentarios. Los temas consultados están referidos a su
composición, presentación, características, indicaciones y expresión sobre el complejo dentinopulpar y tejidos peridentales. También aborda la interacción de los biomaterales con las células con capacidad totipotencial, su diferenciación y los tratamientos que, bajo estos criterios regenerativos, aportan los elementos biológicos. Por último, se incorporan, conceptos relacionados con los procesos de reparación y regeneración entre los que se tratan brevemente, la biología molecular, los factores de crecimiento, moléculas señalizadoras y andamiaje.This bibliographical review work seeks to provide updated and relevant data on the bioactive cements used in pediatric dentistry for tissue regeneration. The topics consulted refer to its composition, presentation, characteristics, indications and expression on the dentin-pulp complex and peridental tissues. It also addresses the interaction of biomaterials with cells with totipotential capacity, their differentiation and the treatments that, under these regenerative criteria, the biological elements provide. Reclamações ambientais em Aveiro, Portugal: atores, preocupações, padrão territorial e resoluções
No full textThis paper presents an environmental diagnosis based on public complaints on environmental
issues submitted to the Environmental Department of the Aveiro City Council, Portugal, between
2000 and 2005. It discusses the potential influences of these in local environmental planning
and governance. The paper has been organised into five sections. The first of these introduces
the study. The second section focuses on the conceptual approaches relating to environmental
grassroots movements, the main actors involved in these movements and the role played by
local government. It also contains a brief review of the most recent urban environmental
quality challenges in the European context together with a description of the main features of
the associated political and legal framework in Portugal. The third section describes the case
study and the methodology used. The results of the empirical study are detailed in the fourth
section. The final section critically analyses these results with emphases on the temporal
evolution of the submission of complaints, the actors involved, the local environmental problems
and their associated spatial pattern as well as the responses given by the City Council. This
information may then be used to provide a useful indicator for the perception of environmental
quality as well as a credible instrument for the visualisation and evaluation of local performance

The question of whether Daniel is a historical or just a literary figure is important because it influences the exegesis of the text of the Book of Daniel. First, the author will indicate the reasons for questioning the historicity of Daniel, and then he will present different approaches to interpreting the content of the Book of Daniel.Przedmiotem artykułu jest kwestia historyczności postaci Daniela, który jest głównym bohaterem księgi biblijnej noszącej jego imię. sabemos que la técnica odontológica no es lo único que debemos
conocer, ya que el manejo de distintas situaciones relacionadas
con la discapacidad hace que nuestra tarea sea más compleja para Ilegar
al logro de la salud bucal.
Nos vamos a referir a una de esas situaciones en particular: la barrera
que encontramos para el desarrollo de la comunicación a partir de la
privación sensorial (visual o auditiva) o de dificultades motrices o intelectuales
que presenta el paciente.
La comunicación no tiene por qué ser solamente a través de la palabra
oral o escrita, y debemos conocer la existencia de los sistemas alternativos
de comunicación (SAAC). El término comunicación aumentativa
describe las formas que usan las personas para comunicarse cuando
no pueden hablar suficientemente claro, mientras que comunicación
alternativa se refiere a métodos de comunicación usados para reemplazar
completamente el habla.Dentists who dedicate ourselves to the care of special patients know
that dental technology is not the only thing we know, the handling of
various situations related to disability make our task more complex
to get to achieving oral health.
We shall refer to one of those situations in particular could find the
barrier for the development of communication, from sensory
deprivation (visual or auditov) or motor or learning difficulties,
which the patient presents.
Communication need not be only through the spoken or written, we
must know the existence of alternative communication systems
(SAAC). The term augmentative communication describes the ways
that people use to communicate when they cannot speak clearly
enough, while alternative communication refers to communication

Trabajamos juntos por la salud bucal de personas con discapacidad
No full textReferirnos al término discapacidad es hablar de limitaciones en el
desarrollo humano, que pueden manifestarse a nivel físico, psíquico o
social. El propósito de este proyecto es acercar el Hospital
Universitario y la Facultad de Odontología a la problemática existente
en el acceso a la salud Bucal de personas con discapacidad y, mediante
una participación activa, cambiar esta realidad y mejorar su calidad
de vida.
Los destinatarios son 51 residentes de THADI (Taller Hogar de
Actividades Diferenciadas) cuya incorporación está motivada por
razones socio-familiares, agravadas por la condición de discapacidad,
no por ser la discapacidad la única razón que justifique el apartamiento
del medio familiar.
El objetivo es brindarles la atención humanizada y personalizada que
ofrece el Hospital Universitario, implementando mecanismos que parten
desde la educación hasta la resolución de sus problemas de salud
Bucal.We refer to the term disability to talk about the limitations in
the human development. It can be manifested at a physical,
psychic or social level. The goal of this project is to bring to the
University Hospital and the Dentistry University the existing
problem in the access to oral health for people with disabilities.
By means of active particiaption, their life quality will be
changed and improved.
The recipients are 51 THADI residents (Home Workshop
Differentiated Activities) whose incor poration is motivated by
social and familiar reasons motivated by a disability condition,
not being the disablity the only reason thta justifies the
withdrawal from the family enviroment.
The goal is to provide a humanized and personalized caref
offered by the University Hospital. It implements some
mechanisms that come from the education and the resolution of
