SAITAMA AND THE MASTER’S ENIGMA
The present work seeks to analyze, from a philosophical perspective, the hero Saitama, the main character of the anime and manga series One-Punch Man, his quest to become a hero and his role as master of the cyborg Genos. At first glance, to say that the relationship between the two does in fact constitute that of a master and a disciple seems somewhat exaggerated: despite being seen like a master by Genos, Saitama does not believe that he has any knowledge to teach to his self-titled disciple. Moreover, despite all his strength, Saitama is constantly tormented by a deep boredom, result of his inability to find new challenges as a hero. However, we believe there is more to Saitama than just “the strongest hero”. As we turn to our history, we see that one of humanity\u27s greatest teachers also believed he knew nothing; Plato\u27s Socrates constantly asserted his own ignorance. We are thus left with a question: How can the master’s image, which represents human knowledge, be linked to men who do only recognize their own ignorance, and in Saitama’s specific case, nothing to teach?
O presente trabalho busca analisar, a partir de uma perspectiva filosófica, o herói Saitama, personagem principal da série de anime e mangá One-Punch Man, sua busca por ser um herói e o seu papel como mestre do ciborgue Genos. À primeira vista, dizer que a relação entre eles constitui de fato a de um mestre e um discípulo, parece um tanto exagerada: apesar de ser visto assim por Genos, Saitama não acredita que tenha qualquer conhecimento a ensinar para o seu autointitulado discípulo. Além disso, apesar de toda sua força, Saitama é atormentado constantemente por um tédio profundo, resultado da incapacidade de encontrar novos desafios como herói. No entanto, acreditamos haver mais em Saitama do que apenas “o herói mais forte”. Ao nos voltarmos para nossa história, vemos que um dos maiores mestres da humanidade também acreditava nada saber: o Sócrates apresentado por Platão afirmava, constantemente, sua própria ignorância. Resta a pergunta: como pode a figura do mestre, representação própria do saber humano, ser ligada a homens que só reconhecem nada saber, e no caso específico de Saitama, nada ter a ensinar?
 
日本とタイの化学教育について<数学・自然科学>
This paper reports study about chemistry education in Saitama University and Saitama High School (Kawagoe Girls High School). The aim of the report is to show difference of chemistry education of Japan and Thailand. For the first part, from the view point of visiting foreign chemistry teacher from Thailand, we described the content of lecture classes on chemical experiments, lectures (chemistry), exercises (chemistry exercises) for subjects of science specialization students in Saitama University in Japan. In the second part, we briefly summarize the chemical lecture and experiment classes at the Kawagoe Girls High School. Finally, the chemistry education in Japan and Thailand was critically compared based on the text book, teaching style and quality of experimental class. and Thailand’s chemistry education. During experiment classes teachers in Saitama University and Kawagoe Girls High School give students certain time to think deeply before experiments following instruction sheets. This method gives all students much confidence to proceed the chemistry experiments in the class. Moreover, teachers in Saitama University and Kawagoe Girls High School have given interesting questions and discussions. At the result, it has brought students strong motivation and challenging split to study chemistry in advanced level. Above these teaching methods and teaching system will be applicable in chemistry experimental classes in Thailand’s junior and senior high school.textapplication/pd
大学生活を振り返って(回想録)(松丸国照教授退職記念特集)<数学・自然科学>
I have done the science education and science research at the Saitama University for a long time, 37 years. The number of the University Graduate and post-Graduate under my guidance is counted over 100. They are playing an important role as active workers such as elementary school teacher, junior high school teacher, high school teacher, university professor, curator, geoconsulting company, prefectural government officer and enterpriser. My science motivation is mentioned as "study nature, but not teacher", and "Science is romantic motives" after my lecture on Geosciences. I have researched both local Geology of the Saitama Prefecture in addition to several areas of Japanese Islands, and Micropaleontology, especially on larger benthic Foraminifera. I have researched Geosciences in the Department of Geology, Faculty of Education, Saitama University. Because Saitama University was reformed into 5 Faculties, and Department of Geology, Faculty of Science was re-organized to belong to Faculty of Education. This reform since 1969 did considerable damage to the research of Geosciences, because of great loss of the fundamental support of finance, fellowship and equipment. I would, however, continue to work after retirement to contribute in the field of Geosciences with the great endeavor, just like as Prof. Jan B. Lamarck. because I am the last micropaleontologist in the Saitama University. I could publish many science papers, and when I count only one contribution, the "Tertiary larger Foraminifera (Foraminiferida) from the Ogasawara Islands, Japan", Palaeontological Society of Japan, Special Papers 26: 239 p., 1996, ISSN 0549-3927 will be recognized as a valuable book for larger Foraminifera study. さいたま市緑被率確保における公共地の役割と実現性の検証
Saitama city administration carried out the plane for green space in Saitama city in 2005. This plan provides that it will be keep secure a certain security more than 35 percent of Saitama city limits-related green open space, and that it will be keep tree cover more than 25 percent of area in the function of public space. In this study, it was proposed three-dimensional rate of green coverage, which is the way to evaluate composition of green open space. And it was simulated the present green open space and the possibility of securing the rate of green coverage about schools, public parks and city hall. It was expected that the growth of the rate of green coverage will be limit. Thus, it was supplemented the deficient rate of green coverage by the evaluation of green composition. <Note> Saitama Prefecture Economy with Input-Output Table
It is seemed that Saitama prefecture economy has a good performance. Taking up the figure and index about economic activities (populations, prefectural income, prefectural income per capita, and so on), we can see such one. In this paper, I want to dig out the problem by using input-output analysis. Input-output analysis is a method developed by Wassily W. Leontief at the work of The Structure of American Economy, 1919-1939(1941). Also at Saitama prefecture, an Input-output tables of Saitama prefecture 1995 was completed in 2000, and we can see all tables by accessing homepage of Saitama prefecture (http://www.pref.saitama.jp/). By examining input-output tables, I can find the presence of problems. Usually, we consider the effectiveness by calculating a coefficient of effectiveness. However, some industrial categories have less effectiveness, which originally should have strong enough effectiveness. This situation happens because those industries order their transactions to the companies outside Saitama prefecture, so they lost the effectiveness. In order to find out such problematic industries, I made up the special figure. In the firstquadrant of this figure, we could find these problematic industries. 教員採用試験問題(英語科)の傾向分析 : 埼玉県・さいたま市の場合<人文・社会科学>
The purpose of the present research is to analyze employment examinations aimed to recruit full time Japanese teachers of English conducted by Saitama Prefecture and Saitama City. The findings of the analysis of the publicized examinations (written tests) of the past three years include: 1) English proficiency is the main target of the examination, not special knowledge on TESOL or TEFL, 2) reading ability is mostly needed, followed by listening and writing abilities, 3)te ting of instructional skills are included, 4) questions on the Course of Study are found every year.
