Enhancing Plant Recommendation through IoT-integrated LLM Systems
Over the past decade, artificial intelligence has experienced phenomenally rapid and extensive expansion across a wide range of industries. Alongside these developments, the agricultural sector stands to benefit significantly from the integration of technology. A significant challenge encountered by farmers is selecting the appropriate crop to plant. The selection of crops is influenced by various factors. Despite advancements in agricultural technology, a considerable gap remains in the integration of IoT with large language models (LLM) for delivering context-specific and data-driven plant recommendation. This study evaluates the reliability of plant recommendations produced by Internet of Things (IoT) devices utilizing the Llama 3.2 model. The model leverages real-time environmental data, including soil pH, altitude, and temperature, to recommend appropriate plant. The recommendations from the base model and a fine-tuned model were compared using precision, recall and F1-score metrics, and were further assessed against established agricultural literature on plant compatibility and growth requirements through human evaluation. The results show substantial performance improvements. The proposed approach achieved an AUC value 59% higher than that of the base model. Precision increased by 40%, recall improved by 105%, and the F1 score rose by 80% compared to the base model
SIM (Management Information System) in Organizations
Many human activities related to information systems, whether consciously or not, information systems have helped humans a lot. It should be noted that information systems do not always have to be complex—simple information systems. The system is only used to record sales transactions involving one person only; through a computer, the user enters sales data, and when the store is closed, a daily sales report is printed. Furthermore, the report is used to analyze salable items that are useful for making purchasing decisions. A management information system is a comprehensive, coordinated, and rationally integrated set of information sub-systems capable of transforming data into information through a series of ways to increase productivity by the style and nature of managers based on predetermined quality criteria. The development of a sophisticated computer-based MIS requires several highly skilled and long-experienced people and requires the participation of organizational managers
Light-Fidelity as Next Generation Network Technology: A Bibliometric Survey and Analysis
This paper delivers a systematic review and a bibliometric survey analysis of Light-Fidelity (Li-Fi) indoor implementation in Next Generation Network (NGN). The main objective of this study is to design a communication network based on NGN-Li-Fi for the indoor implementation which aims to increase user Quality of Service (QoS). The main merits and contributions of this study are the thorough and detailed analysis of the review, both in literature surveys and bibliometric analysis, as well as the discussion of the implementation model challenges of Li-Fi in both indoor and outdoor environments. The issue articulated in an indoor communication network is the possibility of intermittent connectivity due to barriers caused by line-of-sight (LOS) between the LED transmitter and receiver, handover due to channel overlap, and other network reliability issues. To realize the full potential and significant benefits of the Next Generation Network, challenges in indoor communication such as load-balancing and anticipating network congestion (traffic congestion) must be addressed. The main benefit of this study is the in-depth investigation of surveys in both selected critical literatures and bibliometric approach. This study seeks to comprehend the implications of Next Generation networks for indoor communication networks, particularly for visible light communication channels
A study: cryptology techniques and methodologies
Cryptography, as the most important aspect in the never ending evolving information technology era, is being criticized in its aspect. Information outbreaks make users doubtful on relying on their own information in current cryptosystems. This paper attempts to define the existing cryptology techniques and measures how strong and ‘bullet proof’ they are. In this paper, a basic encryption, byte to byte and complex encryption is shown as a study of cryptosystem classes that were used to overcome the need from various users. By understanding the current world phenomenon, it would be easier to answer the question of how secure cryptology actually is
Success factors and change management in Malaysian Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL)
More and more researchers and academic practitioners in Malaysia turn their interest into learning how the Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) accommodate their success factors in change management. IHL, administered under the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), is one of the most important institutions that requires a successful strategic plan, reducing failure in projects and good inter-institutional relationships. IHL, that carries education through its citizens in the country, must have state-of-the-art strategic plans and 'bulletproof' change management practices. The failure in this institution means failure of accommodating education, dynamic relationship between students, and affecting mentality, monetary and not to mention good will in an educational institution itself. However, a shortcoming within the leadership, people and management caused by private or public institutions can be lessons learned for a better nation. Thus, this study carries to examine how project success and change management is being applied in Malaysia's IHL. This research aims to introduce how project change management in IHL is being applied and the measures that are being used in the Information Technology environment. This paper method uses the three value-driven relationship as a framework throughout data collection and analysis. The value-driven relationships are capable to offer optimum determination of strong framework used in business value. By using this approach, the expected outcome of this study is to show a stronger picture of managing project change management in IHL in Malaysia
English An implementation of smart agriculture for optimizing growth using sonic bloom and IoT integrated
This paper proposes the implementation of IoT-based agriculture monitoring with audio growth (sonic bloom) to optimize the growth of plants and harvest. Sonic bloom is a technology that combines high-frequency sound waves from living things, nature or music, and organic nutrients, which aims to make plants grow more optimally so that they can increase productivity. The method’s main advantage is implementing an innovative IoT monitoring hybrid with audio growth systems to boost the plantation growth and maximize the yield. Our experiment in 10 planters using chilies, has proven the proposed procedure. This work is backed up with literature studies of the audio growth (sonic bloom) in IoT technologies. To validate our findings, four parameters were measured through different sensors such as light sensors, temperature, humidity, and soil moisture. It was found that the proposed method can achieve significant results against the comparison in terms of plant heights and new sprouts for the harvest. OFDM synchronization system using wavelet transform for symbol rate detection
In radio communications, using wavelet signal analysis to recover the symbol rate timing clock of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) is a new approach that can tolerate signal distortion from intersymbol interference (ISI) and intercarrier interference of encoding digital data on multiple carrier frequencies. Typically, the reception synchronization with wavelet signal analysis in OFDM can improve the performance over the fourier transform-based OFDM. However, a synchronization procedure that is stable against distortion and noise is essential to diminish the symbol synchronization establishment and operation sampling period. In this paper, we propose an OFDM synchronization system and analyze the impact of the wavelet denoise procedure on the OFDM system, which extracts the symbol rate of the OFDM frame. The evaluation results show that the proposed system can optimize the frequency window size to enable an efficient timing and frequency offset estimation with high and stable performance in terms of bit error rate (BER) and Frame Error Rate (FER) especially when the value of EbN0 (a normalized signal-to-noise ratio SNR measure) is greater than 8 dB, thanks to the wavelet transform
