The article is the final edition of the paper discussed at the Atiner's Conference on Architecture in 2013, published in this Athology after peer review and revision. It discusses the didactic and research experience carried out during the Urban and Environmental Survey course held by the author at during the academic year 2012-2013: it presents the theoretical approach and the graphic results obtained by the students. The training was not merely based on technical measuring instructions for drawing visible architectural facts (measured drawing), but it consisted in facing a series of specific analyses related to the sensible aspects, which can be detected in the city centre of Ascoli Piceno
The Impact of Ease of Digital Access on the Increase in Online Gambling Cases Among Students
This study investigates the relationship between ease of digital access and increasing online gambling participation among Indonesian university students. Through a quantitative descriptive approach involving 420 respondents from various universities, the research examines how technological advancement has influenced gambling behavior among students and its multidimensional consequences. The findings reveal a significant correlation between digital accessibility and gambling participation, with 43.3% of respondents having engaged in online gambling and 25.9% remaining active gamblers. Students with easy digital access were nearly three times more likely to gamble online compared to those with limited access. Demographic analysis showed higher participation rates among male students and those residing in urban areas with superior digital infrastructure. The research identified substantial negative impacts on participants, including psychological effects (76.4% experiencing stress and anxiety) and academic consequences (56.6% reporting decreased concentration). Despite 62% of students claiming moderate digital literacy, only 28% demonstrated true understanding of digital risks, revealing a critical gap between technical proficiency and risk awareness. The majority of gambling-involved students (67.2%) reported first encountering gambling through social media platforms, highlighting the influential role of digital marketing in normalizing gambling behavior. This study underscores the need for comprehensive interventions including enhanced digital literacy education, campus-based support services, strengthened regulatory frameworks, and innovative prevention campaigns targeting digital-native students. The research contributes to understanding how rapidly evolving digital ecosystems create unprecedented challenges in academic environments and offers strategic recommendations for institutional and governmental responses to protect student welfare and academic success

Determining the Pure Premium at Jasa Raharja Insurance Company Purwakarta Branch using Fast Fourir Transform (FFT) through Estimated Aggregate Loss Distribution
Insurance is a contractual agreement between two parties, namely the insured party (customer) and the insurer (insurance company), in which the insured party pays a premium to the insurer, then in return, the insurer will provide compensation (claim) to the insured party if an insured event occurs. Each customer is required to pay a premium as an obligation stated in the insurance agreement by paying a premium, the customer fulfills his obligations and is entitled to the benefits stated in the policy. Therefore, the Insurance Company needs to carry out a scheme in the process of paying pure premiums for the sustainability of the insurance company. When determining the premium, it is done by estimating the aggregate loss distribution. This research will calculate thepure premium at the Purwakarta Branch of Jasa Raharja Insurance Company. The model used in this study is the distribution of aggregate loss with a compound distribution of claim frequency and claim size. Many claims follow the Poisson distribution and large claims follow the Lognormal distribution. In the process of estimating the probability of aggregate loss with the compound distribution model, the Inverse method with the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm is used. This research will provide understanding and insight to insurance companies in determining the amount of premium that must be charged to customers
Factors Influencing the Human Development Index in Indonesia Using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square
HDI is a benchmark for a country in achieving human development in the country. Indonesia is a developing country with a relatively increasing HDI value every year. This shows that the efforts made by Indonesia are going well. However, Indonesia experienced a decrease in HDI value in 2019 towards 2020, due to restrictions on activities caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, the HDI value in each province in Indonesia is uneven, even from the publication data of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows a significant difference in HDI value between provinces in Indonesia. So that evaluation and improvement are needed to be able to equalize and stabilize HDI in Indonesia. HDI value can be influenced by several factors including economy, education, and health. This study aims to determine the direct effect of economic variables on HDI, the direct effect of education variables on HDI, the direct effect of health variables on HDI, the indirect effect of education variables on HDI through economic variables and health variables. The data used in this study are data on the Human Development Index of economic, education and health variables along with the indicators that measure them, from 34 provinces in Indonesia in 2022. This study applies SEM-PLS to determine the factors that influence the Human Development Index (HDI). The results of this study indicate that economic variables and education variables have a direct influence on the Human Development Index (HDI), while health variables have no direct influence on the Human Development Index (HDI). Then the education variable through the economic variable has an indirect effect on the Human Development Index (HDI), and the education variable through the health variable has no indirect effect on the Human Development Index (HDI)
Ethnoscience-Based Climate Change Adaptation: Survival Strategies for Agricultural Communities in Panimbang Regency
Climate change is a global challenge affecting the agricultural sector, particularly in agrarian areas such as Panimbang Regency, Banten. This study aims to identify and analyze climate change adaptation strategies based on local knowledge or ethnoscience implemented by farming communities. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with an ethnographic orientation, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, focus group discussions, and visual documentation. The results revealed five key adaptation strategies: observing natural signs, adjusting the planting calendar based on phenology, water management with traditional irrigation systems, crop diversification, and cultural and ritual practices. These strategies have been shown to increase community resilience to climate variability by reducing the risk of crop failure and maintaining ecological balance. The high adoption rate of crop diversification and observing natural signs emphasizes the relevance of local knowledge amidst the dominance of technocratic approaches. This study emphasizes the importance of recognizing, preserving, and integrating ethnoscience knowledge into climate adaptation policies to be more inclusive and contextual. Thus, local wisdom serves not only as a cultural heritage but also as a dynamic framework that supports food security, environmental sustainability, and the well-being of farming communities in the era of climate change
