    Aplikasi Konsorsium Bakteri Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil pada Beberapa Varietas Padi

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi konsorsium bakteri (bioboost) yang berpengaruh terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman padi (Oryza sativa L.). Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informesi tentang tentang pengaruh pemberian konsentrasi konsorsium bakteri terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil pada beberapa varietas padi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2014 sampai dengan bulan Desember 2014, bertempat di Lahan Villa Tegal Besar kabupaten Jember. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok terdiri dari dua faktor dan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah varietas : situbagendit, mikongga, dan ciherang. Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi bioboost : 0 ml, 20 ml, dan 40 ml. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat interaksi antara penggunaan jenis varietas dengan konsentrasi bioboost pada semua parameter, akan tetapi terjadi respon yang berbeda nyata pada pemberian konsentrasi bioboost terhadap parameter jumlah anakan per rumpun, jumlah gabah berisi per rumpun, hasil gabah per polibag , dan jumlah klorofil daun. Perlakuan konsentrasi menunjukan hasil yang tinggi dan nyata pada dosis 40 ml hal ini ditunjukan pada parameter jumlah anakan per rumpun yaitu 50,56 anakan, jumlah gabah berisi per rumpun yaitu 410,89 biji, hasil gabah per polibag yaitu 167,90 gram, dan jumlah klorofil daun sebesar 43,22.

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk Calsium Silicate (CaSiO3) dalam meningkatkan perkecambahan biji, kualitas benih dan hasil pada tanaman padi (Oryza sativa L.). Penelitian ini dilakukukan di Laboratorium Jurusan Tanah dan Kompleks Greenhouse Kasetsart University Thailand. Percobaan terdiri dari 3 macam yang saling berkesinambungan yaitu perkecambahan biji, kualitas benih dan hasil tanaman padi. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial 2 × 2 (Faktor 1(Perendaman biji dengan larutan CaSiO3), Faktor 2(Penyemprotan bibit dengan larutan CaSiO3)) dan Faktorial 2 × 3 (Faktor 1(Aplikasi CaSiO3), Faktor 2 (3 Series Tanah)).Data penelitian dianalisis dengan ragam (ANOVA) dan dievaluasi dengan R-stat program dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada percobaan pertama mengenai perlakuan terbaik terhadap perkecambahan biji padi varietas Pathumtani 80 yaitu pada T8 (Perendaman + CaSiO3 6.000 ppm) dengan persentase perkecambahan 95,5%, DTE 2,59 hari dan Indeks Perkecambahan 17,59. Kombinasi perlakuan terbaik dari percobaan kedua mengenai kualitas benih padi yaitu pada P1S1 (Perendaman dan Penyemprotan CaSiO3 6000 ppm) dengan persentase perkecambahan (81,03%), tinggi tanaman (12,59 cm) dan jumlah daun (4). Perlakuan terbaik pada percobaan ketiga mengenai hasil panen padi yaitu pada SIT1(jenis tanah Banglen dan aplikasi CaSiO3) dengan jumlah malai/pot (60), jumlah biji/pot (270,700 sq.m2), berat kering biji padi (7,436 g/sq.m2 )

    This final year project aims to produce Epoxy Coffee table that utilizes a combination of materials namely, wood and metal. The purpose of this project is to design an epoxy coffee table made from timber waste with an aesthetic value and to produce an Epoxy Coffee Table from Sindora spp. The top of the epoxy table was constructed with two types of materials timber waste and epoxy resin. While, the leg structure was made from metal. After the design and manufacturing process, a survey was undertaken in evaluating customer satisfaction on the characteristics of the product. A set of questionnaire was distributed to 199 respondents of different gender, age and profession. The characteristics evaluated by the respondents include material, epoxy resin, attractive, aesthetic, commercialization and price. Statistical analysia of F value for Epoxy Coffee Table from Sindora spp. shows there are no significant different for all characteristic (p>O.05) except gender for material used, epoxy resin, aesthetic and commercialize (p<O.05)

    EFISIENSI PEMUPUKAN UREA DAN PHONSKA MENGGUNAKAN PUPUK ORGANIK

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik gliricidia yang diperkaya tepung kedelai terhadap nilai efisiensi pemupukan pupuk anorganik dan potensi hasil produksi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Greenhouse Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jember dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial (RAL) (4x4) dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor yang diteliti adalah dosis pemberian pupuk anorganik (urea dan phonska) (D) dengan empat taraf yaitu dosis sesuai rekomendasi pemupukan (D0), -25% dosis rekomendasi (D1), +25% dosis rekomendasi (D2), dan +50% dosis rekomendasi pemupukan (D3). Faktor kedua adalah dosis pemberian pupuk organik gliricidia dengan empat taraf yaitu dosis sesuai rekomendasi pemupukan (O0), -25% dosis rekomendasi (O1), +25% dosis rekomendasi (O2), dan +50% dosis rekomendasi pemupukan (O3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada interaksi antara pemberian pupuk anorganik dan pupuk organik gliricidia pada semua parameter pengamatan. Nilai efisiensi penggunaan pupuk tertinggi pada perlakuan D0 sebesar 2,83 kg kg-1 dan pada faktor perlakuan dosis pupuk organik gliricidia pada perlakuan O1 sebesar 3,24 kg kg-1. Sedangkan perlakuan dosis pupuk organik gliricidia pada taraf dosis O3 memberikan Serapan nitrogen tertinggi pada sebesar 1,41 gr dan bobot gabah kering tertinggi sebesar 95,22 g

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Sadiman Volcano, Crater Highlands, Tanzania; does it really contain melilitites and carbonatites or its is just a phonolite-nephelinite volcano?

    Sadiman is 4.8-4.0 Ma old volcano located in the Crater Highlands area in northern Tanzania. Limited published data and field observations show that it consists of interlayered phonolitic tuffs and nephelinitic lavas. Rare xenoliths of phonolite and ijolite were observed in the nephelinites. It was suggested that Sadiman volcano contains melilititic and carbonatitic rocks. These also occur as tuffs in the Laetoli area where fossilised footprints from human ancestors are known which is why Sadiman is of special interest as a possible source of them.The attached document is the authors’ final accepted/submitted version of the journal article.     Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
