    ANALISIS DAERAH BAHAYA DAN PENUTUP LAHAN WILAYAH GUNUNGAPI SLAMET

    RINGKASANSistem operasi alarm bencana alam melalui analisis Gunungapi memberikan informasi tentang geomorfologis, daerah bahaya dan kondisi penutup lahan, hal ini digunakan data Landsat ETM+ tanggal 19 September 2001 pada wilayah Gunungapi Slamet. Analisis geomorfologis menghasilkan sepuluh pengelompokan bentuk lahan yaitu: Kawah aktif (V.02.a), Kerucut gunungapi cinder (V.04.a), Lereng gunungapi (V.05.a), Lereng gunungapi atas (V.05.d), Lereng gunungapi tengah (V.05.c), Lereng gunungapi bawah( V.05.d. Kaki gunungapi (V.06.a). Dataran kaki gunungapi (V.06.b.), Medan lava (V.08.a) Gawir sesar pegunungan blok (S.03.d). Dan analisis daerah bahaya gunungapi, diperoleh tingkat kerentanan tiap-tiap bentuk lahan terhadap bencana Gunungapi Slamet yang dikelaskan ke dalam tiga tingkat, yaitu sangat rentan, (Kawah aktif, Kerucut gunungapi cinder, Medan Lava, dan lereng gunungapi atas), rentan (Lereng gunungapi tengah, Lereng gunungapi bawah, Kaki gunungapi, dan Gawir sesar pegunungan blok) dan kurang rentan (lereng gunungapi, dan Dataran kaki gunungapi). Demikian juga hasil analisis penutup lahan diperoleh tujuh kelas penutup yaitu mulai yang paling luas berturut-turut adalah lahan hutan (10.657 ha), sawah (3.332 ha), tegalan (1.741 ha), perkebunan (1.545 ha), permukiman (418 ha), endapan piroklastik (305 ha), dan lahan terbuka (65 ha). The purpose of this research is analyze the impact of the variables Cash Ratio (CR), Debt Assets Ratio (DAR), Return On Assets (ROA), Earning Per Share (EPS), Dividend Per Share prior year (DPSt-1) on dividend policy (Dividend Per Share current year/DPSt0). This research also examines the influences of those variables to the firm value (Price to Book Value/PBV) through the dividend policy on manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange 2006-2009 period. Sampling technique used here is purposive sampling method for taking samples. Data obtained on the basis of publication of Indonesia Stock Exchange, obtained 11 samples of manufacturing firms. Analysis technique used is path analysis. The results showed that there is a simultaneous influence of Cash Ratio (CR), Debt Assets Ratio (DAR), Return On Assets (ROA), Earning Per Share (EPS), Dividend Per Share prior year (DPSt-1) on dividend policy (Dividend Per Share current year/DPSt0) and those variables also in simultaneously effecting the firm value. Based on a partial test only Earning Per Share (EPS), and Dividend Per Share prior year (DPSt-1), significantly effecting the policy dividend and variable Debt Assets Ratio (DAR) significantly effecting the firm value. The results also showed that variable Earning Per Share was dominantly among the independent variables in influencing dividend policy and the firm value through dividend policy

    Inventory and identification dragonfly Family Libellulidae at Slamet Reservoir, Surabaya, East Java

    Slamet Reservoir is an artificial reservoir located in the lowlands of urban areas. The existence of this reservoir with a stagnant water habitat type has great potential to become a natural habitat for various types of dragonflies, especially the Libellulidae family. This study aims to inventory and identify the types of dragonflies in the family Libellulidae in the Slamet Reservoir. In this study, the Visual Encounter Survey (VES) method was modified by using the Belt Transect method. This method is an observation by following a predetermined circular line. Sampling was carried out by catching adult dragonflies using insect nets and then preserving them using 50% acetone. After preservation, the body part of the dragonfly was measured using a caliper. The results showed that in the Slamet Reservoir there were 12 species of dragonflies from the Libellulidae family with a total of 131 individuals. The species with the highest relative abundance value in the Slamet reservoir is Brachythemis contaminata with a value of 51.15%. While the species with the lowest relative abundance values were Acisoma panorpoides, Diplacodes trivialis and Pantala flavescens with a value of 0.76%

    Seed Priming with Poly-Gamma-Glutamic Acid (γ-PGA) Improves Rice Germination Performance under Drought Conditions

    Drought poses a significant threat to global food security, particularly impacting rice cultivation during the germination stage. In this study, a soil-based system that utilizes soil moisture content was used to simulate optimal and stress conditions to assess the effect of the specific seed priming protocols on germination. Eleven rice varieties, representative of indica and japonica subspecies, grown in different ecosystems and having diverse nutrient contents, were treated with water or solutions of either poly-gamma-glutamic acid (γ-PGA) or denatured γ-PGA. Collected data regarding germinability and stress indices revealed different drought sensitivity between japonica and indica subspecies and genotype-specific responses to priming. Particularly, γ-PGA improved germination of highly susceptible indica varieties whereas water soaking was more effective for the moderately sensitive japonica varieties. Integrative analyses evidenced differences between biofortified and nonbiofortified rice under γ-PGA treatment, suggesting a possible correlation between γ-PGA efficacy and Zn/Fe seed content. These findings underline that priming strategies should be tailored based on genotype and therefore this factor should be always taken under consideration for future works. The current study provides relevant information for optimizing seed priming techniques to sustain the development of drought-resilient crops as a sustainable strategy to address agricultural resilience and safeguard food security amidst environmental challenges

    Buah jambu ‘Kristal’ memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi namun mudah mengalami kerusakan sehingga diperlukan teknologi pascapanen yang dapat memperpanjang umur simpannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruh pelapisan dan penambahan antimikroba terhadap daya simpan dan kualitas buah jambu ‘Kristal’. Penelitian dilakukan mulai dari bulan Juli sampai Agustus 2017. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua tahap. Pada tahap pertama digunakan pelapis berbahan kitosan, pati singkong, dan pati sagu serta antimikroba yaitu minyak jahe, minyak lengkuas, dan potasium sorbat. Pada tahap pertama peubah yang diamati yaitu penampilan fisik dan daya simpan buah. Hasil pada tahap pertama digunakan sebagai dasar dalam penelitian tahap kedua. Formulasi pelapisan dan kombinasinya dengan potasium sorbat memberikan hasil terbaik pada peubah penampilan fisik dan daya simpan. Pada penelitian tahap kedua digunakan 7 jenis formulasi yaitu lilin lebah 2%, kitosan 2%, lilin lebah 2% + potasium sorbat 0,5%, kitosan 2% + potasium sorbat 0,5%, lilin lebah 2% + potasium sorbat 1%, kitosan 2% + potasium sorbat 1%, dan kontrol (tanpa penambahan). Pengamatan dilakukan tiga hari sekali selama 15 hari. Peubah yang diamati antara lain laju respirasi, susut bobot, kelunakan, padatan terlarut total, asam tertitrasi total, dan vitamin C. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan pelapisan dapat menekan laju respirasi, susut bobot, dan kelunakan buah dibanding kontrol selama penyimpanan. Perlakuan pelapisan tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap jualitas kimia buah yaitu padatan terlarut total, asam tertitrasi total, dan vitamin C. Kontrol dapat bertahan selama 6 hari penyimpanan dan formulasi lain dapat bertahan selama 15 hari. Buah dengan perlakuan pelapisan masih dapat diterima panelis hingga hari ke-15

    Petrology and Geochemical Comparation of Pumice and Scoria Rocks of Slamet Volcano, Central Java

    Slamet Volcano is one of Indonesia Quaternary Stratovolcanoes in Central Java Province. Slamet volcano is divided into two parts, Old Slamet in the western part and Young Slamet. The author examined a comparation data of pyroclastic rock of Slamet Volcano, the pyroclastic rocks are pumice from Old Slamet, the scoria fall, and scoria cones are from Young Slamet. They have different geochemical and petrology features, pumice rock has higher SiO2 from 60 to 64 wt.%, scoria fall has SiO2 49.81 to 50.56 wt. %, and scoria cone has SiO2 49.26 wt. %. Petrographic observation showed that pumice is vesicular and contains of phenocryst pyroxene, plagioclase and biotite, scoria fall, and scoria cones have similar petrographic characteristic they have phenocryst of plagioclase, olivine, and pyroxene with hyalopilitic texture. The contrast of major element combined with petrographic features suggest that pyroclastic rock in Slamet Volcano formed by different magma and the magma has differentiation process of Slamet magma is generally caused by magma mixing.</jats:p

    Penelitian bertujuan mengamati dan membandingkan kualitas panen dan pascapanen buah pamelo Bali Merah yang telah mendapatkan perlakuan prapanen berupa pemberongsongan buah dan pengaturan nisbah daun:buah. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni sampai Agustus 2015 di Laboratorium Pasca Panen dan Laboratorium UV-Vis Spectrophotometry, Departemen Agronomi dan Hortikultura, IPB. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dua faktor dengan empat ulangan dan dilakukan pada tiga masa simpan. Faktor pertama adalah perbedaan nisbah daun:buah, yang terdiri atas tiga taraf, yaitu 50:1, 75:1, dan 100:1. Faktor kedua adalah warna plastik berongsong yang terdiri atas empat warna, yaitu bening, merah, kuning, biru, dan tanpa berongsong sebagai kontrol. Hasil pemberongsongan menunjukkan perbedaan iklim mikro dalam berongsong pada variabel suhu, kelembaban, dan intensitas cahaya. Peningkatan nisbah daun:buah secara nyata meningkatkan bobot dan ukuran buah namun tidak meunjukkan perbedaan nisbah PTT:ATT. Pemberongsongan buah secara nyata menunjukkan pengaruh pada kandungan pigmen kulit buah, dimana buah dengan berongsong plastik biru memiliki kandungan klorofil dan karotenoid tertinggi. Buah pada plastik merah cenderung memiliki bobot dan ukuran lebih tinggi dibanding kontrol dan warna berongsong lain. Pengamatan pada tiap masa simpan (5, 7, 9 minggu setelah panen) secara umum menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan pengaruh pengaturan nisbah daun:buah dan pemberongsongan buah pada variabel kualitas yang diamati (susut bobot, kelunakan, tebal kulit, PTT, ATT, dan vitamin C)

This activity was conducted from February to June 2013 at Teluk Siak Estate, PT Aneka Intipersada, Minamas Plantation, Riau. The method used was divided into three stages, employee, co-mandor and co-field assistant. Moreover, the observation of variables that would be analyzed were conducted paralelly. Variables observed were harvest interval, harvest density, labour management, harvest quality control and transportation management. The data collected was statistically analyzed using sum operation and t-test. The work achievement during the internship program was technically still under the standard of the plantation company. The analysis result indicated that Teluk Siak Estate 1st Division had generally implemented good oil palm harvest management. Harvesting problems that found at Teluk Siak Estate 1st Division were lack of labour and inappropiate pruning. Moreover, it is indicated that there was no difference between peat soil and mineral soil in harvest density, meanwhile in production and average bunch weight variables was significantly different

    The objective of this experiment was to determine the effect of concentration of nutrient solution on growth and yield of vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides (L.) Nash) Verina 2 variety using Hydroponic Floating System Technology (HFST). This experiment that is a continuation of previous experiment. The experiment is based on a randomized complete block desing which consists of two experiments: (1) a plant that has not been done cutting the roots (3 replicates), (2) plants that have been done cutting the roots (6 replicates), with one factor and three-level: nutrient solution concentration of 200 ppm, nutrient solution concentration of 400 ppm and nutrient solution concentration of 800 ppm. The results showed that the concentration of the nutrient solution had significant effect on plant height, number of tillers, number of new saplings, canopy dry weight in plants that have not done cutting the roots, and root fresh weight in plants that have been done cutting the roots. Treatment of nutrient solution concentration of 200 ppm resulted that the growth of plants do not develop properly. Vetiver plants that grown with the provision of nutrient solution concentration between 400 ppm to 800 ppm acquire a better canopy growth and root development of plants, therefore THST can be applied to the cultivation of vetiver on the concentration of the nutrient solution so it could produce a better canopy growth and root development
