Revisiting the Ancient Persian religion of zoroastrianism: its founder and sacred scripture
No full textThis research paper seeks to study the founder and sacred scripture of
Zoroastrianism, which is the religion of the ancient Persia and the Parsees
arising out of the polytheistic traditions of Iran and India. Although today
its adherents are few in number, yet the study of this religion is very crucial.
The objective of this paper is to revisit the ancient Persian religion in order
to provide for young scholars and students of comparative religion
appropriate historical facts and evidences about the founder and sacred
scripture of Zoroastrianism. This study investigates: firstly, the ancient
Persian beliefs before the advent of Zoroastrianismand lastly, the sacred scripture of Zoroastrianism, which is
considered by Zoroastrians as a revelation revealed by God to their Prophet,
Zoroaster. This paper focuses on the founder and sacred scripture of
Zoroastrianism, and therefore, a study can be done on the main doctrines
and festivals of Zoroastrianism. Descriptive and analytical methods are
used in the entire study. The findings of this research paper add important
information to the existing literature on Zoroastrianis

political, and religious differences, on the one hand, and the developments in sciences, industry, infrastructure, arts and
especially in information technology, on the other, are believed to be the real challenges encountered by contemporary
people and especially the Muslims. What are the causes of these challenges? Do they have intellectual, economic,
political or social dimension? How to respond to them? Who is responsible for the cause of these challenges – man or
God? Islam with its sources of knowledge – Qur’Én and Sunnah, claims to provide for Muslims and humanity as a
whole the proper measures to respond to contemporary challenges. Definitely, Islam offers to humanity an enduring and
authentic civilization with a transcendental nature that promotes holistic justice, peaceful coexistence, mutual respect
and better understanding. The thrust of this study will be on four main contemporary challenges witnessed especially
by Muslims, i.e., the intellectual, economic, political and social and how to respond to them. The main objectives
of this study are to exhibit the role of Islamic civilization in responding to contemporary challenges and to show its
unique paradigm shift in shaping the future civilization of mankind. The descriptive and analytical methods will be
employed in the entire study. The author of this paper strongly believes that this study will contribute to the revival of
Muslims’ understanding of Islamic civilization and its application to their day-to-day individual, familial, communal,
and social aspects of life. Besides, it will add a new asset of knowledge to the existing knowledge and will be a

No full textThis study investigates the crucial role played by inter-religious dialogue in promoting Islamic education to the Europeans. Its goal is to provide a better understanding of Islam and its teachings through the channel of education in order to shift the views of Europeans on Islam and Muslims from hostility and enmity to mutual respect and friendliness. This paper starts with a brief
introduction on the Europeans and their religious identity. Then, the main discussion focuses on: (1) what is inter-religious dialogue and Islamic education? (2) why inter-religious dialogue is an important means for the promotion of Islamic education to the Europeans (looking at the situation of European Muslims, their relationship with others, and contemporary issues)?, and
(3) how inter-religious dialogue promotes Islamic education (discussing themes addressed in inter-religious dialogue activities, establishment of teaching modules, educational centers and institutions, where Islamic education is taught to the Europeans in a dialogue form)? Descriptive and analytical methods are employed by the researcher. This paper has achieved very useful
findings that will serve as solid solutions for the proper understanding and interpretation of Islamic tenets through an appropriate Islamic education promoted by inter-religious dialogue

No full textيسعى البحث في هذه الدراسة إلى عرض أحد الكتب الإسلامية التي تتحدث عن تاريخ اليهود على مرِّ العصور، وكما يهدف هذا البحث إلى عرض الكتاب أولاً وتحليل فصوله الخمسة كل على حدة ثانية، ومن ثم يتجه إلى النقد بشقيه الإيجابي والسلبي، ويختم بعد ذلك برأيه الشخصي. وتظهر أهمية هذا البحث جلية في عرض الجهود المبذولة من المؤلف في هذا الكتاب، حيث إن الكتاب يعد شاملاً وعاماً لكثير من أمور اليهود، وكذلك فالمؤلف لم ينل حقه في أن تنشر كتبه ومؤلفاته على نطاق واسع يظهر جهده وغزارة علمه، فيما تتمحور إشكالية البحث في عدم تناول كتاب المؤلف من قبل على وجه العرض والتحليل والنقد، وهذا ما سيسعى هذا البحث إلى فعله

This study seeks to expound one of the Islamic books, which talks about the history of the Jews throughout the ages. The goal of this research is firstly to show the content of the book and secondly to analyze its five chapters separately. It utilizes constructive and destructive criticism, and concludes by showing researcher’s personal view. This study is significant as it shows the exerted efforts of the author in this book. The book is considered comprehensive as well as general in matters related to Jews. Also, the author did not get the right to publish his books and writings on a large scale in order to show his efforts and the abundance of his knowledge. This book has not been discussed before in the form of presentation, analysis and criticism, and this is what this research will attempt to do.

Kajian ini dilhasilkan untuk menjelaskan salah satu penulisan Islamik, yang
berbincang mengenai sejarah Yahudi sepanjang zaman. Tujuan kajian ini adalah,
pertamanya, untuk membentangkan isi kandungan buku tersebut dan keduanya, untuk
menganalisa lima topik dalam buku tersebut secara berasingan. Penyelidikan ini
menawarkan kritikan yang membina dan kritikan yang menjatuhkan, kemudian
disimpulkan dengan merungkai sudut pandang peribadi penyelidik. Kajian ini adalah
signifikan kerana ia memperlihatkan kesungguhan yang dikerah penulis buku ini. Buku
tersebut merupakan penulisan yang menyeluruh dan umum tentang isu-isu yang
berkaitan dengan Yahudi. Tambahan lagi, penulis tersebut telah dinafikan haknya
untuk menerbitkan buku dan penulisannya dalam skala besar bagi membuktikan
kesungguhan dan ilmunya yang tinggi. Buku ini tidak pernah dibincangan dalam
bentuk pembentangan, analisa dan kritikan, maka atas tujuan inilah kajian ini

Get PDFThis paper seeks to explore the role and efforts of Islamic organizations in reviving Islamic faith among the Hui Muslim communities in early 20th century in China. The study shows how the Hui Islamic organizations led by the Hui Muslim religious leaders and intellectuals actively engaged in various types of programs and activities to revive and promote Islamic faith among the Hui Muslim communities in China. It brings important insights into the history of Islamic revival movement in China. The focus of discussion in this study is on: Background of the Islamic revival movement and the Hui Islamic organizations. The historical, descriptive and analytical methods are used in the entire research. The study finds out that the Hui Muslims during Republic of China period responded proactively to the social and political changes in the society to advance the cause of Islamic revival. Two strategies are identified, i.e. adapting to the environment and reviving and promoting Islamic faith through Islamic organizations led by religious leaders and intellectuals. This could provide some insights to the Hui Muslims to cope with current situations in China

The goal of this article is to study al-Fārūqī’s genuine and comprehensive work through which he presents a new approach toward the understanding of Christianity, highlighting its ethical aspect. Its significance lies in defining the value of the methodology he used in the study of Christian dogma and
ethics. This article uses historical, descriptive, and interpretative analytical methods throughout the entire work. This study discusses: (1) al-Fārūqī’s short biography; (2) al-Fārūqī’s work on Christianity; and (3) the interpretive analysis of al-Fārūqī’s methodology in the light of selected texts from his work on “Christian Ethics.” The outcomes of this research provide new insights into the existing body of knowledge concerning Muslims’ experience in the study of other religions, which is very advantageous for contemporary scholars of comparative religion

The goal of this research is to study Fattāḥ’s original works. Its significance lays in extracting the most important methods deployed by him in the study of these two religions. The descriptive and analytical methods are used through the entire work. The emphasis of discussion is on: (1) Fattāḥ’s brief chronology; (2) factors behind Fattāḥ’s objective of writing on Judaism and Christianity; and (3) Fattāḥ’s methodology. The findings of this research expand the existing literature on comparative religion with the insights of the original works of Fattāḥ on Judaism and Christianity. As a matter of fact, all religions teach their followers to stand for peace and avoid conflicts and wars. Therefore, the value of peace is considered as the cardinal principle by the teachings of all religions represented by religious communities in Asia.
