This research was conducted in subak in Singapadu Kaler Tourism Village. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the application of the planting pattern and distribution system of henna flower by farmers of henna flower, so that it can help implement an effective cropping pattern and distribution system that is applied in increasing the income of farmers who plant henna flower in Singapadu Kaler Village. Data collection is done using the method of observation, interviews, documentation, and literature. The analytical tool used for quantitative analysis techniques is a technique for analyzing data in the form of numbers using an analytical tool, in the form of: BCR Analysis (Benefit Cost Ratio) and Profit Margin Analysis, namely analysis to see the effectiveness of cropping patterns associated with the distribution system used. While for analyzing qualitative data using descriptive analysis techniques, which describe and help quantitative analysis to draw conclusions. Based on the results of the analysis, it shows that there are farmers who apply a continuous system of cropping patterns and there are those who apply an intermittent system. The cropping pattern with a continuous system is more profitable than an intermittent system. For this reason, farmers should be more effective in implementing a continuous cropping pattern with improved maintenance on fertilization and spraying of flower drugs more intensively. The distribution system applied by the henna farmers is an indirect system by selling henna flowers to agents, but not directly to consumers. This system is effective, but not optimal. After doing a comparative analysis with a direct distribution system with three different target markets, the system applied is less effective. Of the three analyzed alternatives, the direct distribution system with the hotel market target is the most effective compared to the Mambal market target and the outside Mambal market. To meet the needs of hotel targets, it is very necessary to maintain the quality of henna flowers which are always in fresh condition and the continuity of their availability that must be maintained  Penelitian ini dilakukan  di subak yang ada di Desa Wisata Singapadu Kaler. &nbsp

Seabed foraging by Antarctic krill: Implications for stock assessment, bentho-pelagic coupling, and the vertical transfer of iron

    No full text
A compilation of more than 30 studies shows that adult Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba) may frequent benthic habitats year-round, in shelf as well as oceanic waters and throughout their circumpolar range. Net and acoustic data from the Scotia Sea show that in summer 2-20% of the population reside at depths between 200 and 2000 m, and that large aggregations can form above the seabed. Local differences in the vertical distribution of krill indicate that reduced feeding success in surface waters, either due to predator encounter or food shortage, might initiate such deep migrations and results in benthic feeding. Fatty acid and microscopic analyses of stomach content confirm two different foraging habitats for Antarctic krill: the upper ocean, where fresh phytoplankton is the main food source, and deeper water or the seabed, where detritus and copepods are consumed. Krill caught in upper waters retain signals of benthic feeding, suggesting frequent and dynamic exchange between surface and seabed. Krill contained up to 260 nmol iron per stomach when returning from seabed feeding. About 5% of this iron is labile, i.e., potentially available to phytoplankton. Due to their large biomass, frequent benthic feeding, and acidic digestion of particulate iron, krill might facilitate an input of new iron to Southern Ocean surface waters. Deep migrations and foraging at the seabed are significant parts of krill ecology, and the vertical fluxes involved in this behavior are important for the coupling of benthic and pelagic food webs and their elemental repositories

World of made and unmade a poem

""World of Made and Unmade is a deep blue yarn of very fine thread. We know much of poetry ever was and ever shall be elegiac. Jane Mead's poem could be neither more literal nor nearer the verge of appearing a little too perfect for this world. As the laundry room floods and the grape harvest gets done; as Michoacan waits for another time, her beautiful, practical mother is dying. Ashes are scattered in the pecan groves of her own Rincon, her own corner of the world, and the poet, in elementary script, draws a sustaining record of the only feeling worth the struggle, and she cannot, will not, does not fuck it up." -C.D. Wright Jane Mead's fifth collection candidly and openly explores the long process that is death. These resonant poems discover what it means to live, die, and come home again. We're drawn in by sorrow and grief, but also the joys of celebrating a long life and how simple it is to find laughter and light in the quietest and darkest of moments. … This year I have disappeared from the harvest routine- the pickers throwing their trays under the vines, grape hooks flying, the heavy bunches flying- pickers running to the running tractors with trays held high above their heads and the arc of dark fruit falling heavily into the half-ton bins. The hornets swarming in the diesel-filled air. Jane Mead is the author of four collections of poetry, most recently MONEY MONEY MONEY / WATER WATER WATER (2014). Her poems appear regularly in journals and anthologies, and she's the recipient of a Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship, a Whiting Writers Award, and a Lannan Foundation Completion Grant. She teaches at the low-residency MFA program at Drew University and farms in Northern California"..

This study aims to analyze customer loyalty in terms of word of mouth, product quality, and service, at DA Astiti Dana in Mengwi Badung. In this study, a quantitative approach was used. The population in this study were all 55 customers or regular customers of DA Astiti Dana in Mengwi Badung. The sampling technique uses a saturated sample or census technique, where the entire population is used as a sample. Analysis of the data used is multiple linear regression analysis, where previously the classical assumption was tested. The results of the analysis show a positive direction between word of mouth, product quality, and service to customer loyalty. Thus, it can be stated that the level of customer loyalty is influenced jointly by word of mouth, product quality, and service. The F-test test is a multiple linear regression coefficient significance test that shows that there is a simultaneous significant effect between the word of mouth, product quality, and service on customer loyalty. The significance test using the t-test shows that there is a partially significant effect between word of mouth, product quality, and service on customer loyalty
