국문요약 56MasterGap junctional intercellular communication (GJIC) may play an important role in the hearing process. Cisplatin is an anticancer drug that causes hearing loss and Gingko biloba extracts (EGb 761) have been used as an antioxidant and enhancer for GJIC. The purpose of this study was to examine the efficiency of EGb 761 in protecting against cisplatin-induced apoptosis and disturbance of GJIC. HEI-OC1 auditory cells were cultured and treated with cisplatin (50µM) and EGb (300µg/ml) for 24 h, and then analyzed by immunocytochemistry (Annexin V/ propidium iodide) and Western blots. The function of GJIC was evaluated by scrape-loading dye transfer (SLDT). Basal turn organ of Corti (oC) explants from neonatal (p3) rats were exposed to cisplatin (1–10µM) and EGb (50–400µg/ml). The number of intact hair cells was counted by co-labeling with phalloidin and MyoVIIa. EGb prevented cisplatin-induced apoptosis in immunostaining and decreased caspase 3 and poly-ADP- ribose polymerase (PARP) bands, which were increased in cisplatin-treated cells in Western blots. EGb prevented abnormal intracellular locations of Cx 26, 30, 31, and 43 in cells treated with cisplatin and increased quantities of Cx bands. EGb also prevented cisplatin-induced disturbance of GJIC in SLDT. In oC explants, EGb significantly prevented hair cell damage induced by cisplatin. In animal studies, EGb significantly prevented cisplatin-induced hearing loss across 16 kHz and 32 kHz. These results show that cisplatin induces ototoxicity including hearing loss as well as down-regulation of GJIC and inhibition of Cxs in auditory cells. EGb prevents hearing loss in cisplatin-treated rats by inhibiting down-regulation of Cx expression and GJIC. The disturbance of GJIC or Cx expression may be one of important mechanisms of cisplatin-induced ototoxicity
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Mapping of antigenic determinant regions of the Bor56 protein of Orientia tsutsugamushi
The 56-kDa protein (Bor56) of Orientia tsutsugamushi is an immunoprotective antigen and is the target molecule of neutralizing antibodies. This antigen is recognized by almost all of the serum antibodies produced by patients in the convalescence phase of scrub typhus. We expressed the Bor56 open reading frame in Escherichia coli and generated from it a series of deletion constructs as MalE fusion proteins. Antibody-binding domains were characterized by using patient sera, mouse monoclonal antibodies (MAbs), and Bor56-immunized-mouse sera. None of the antibodies bound to a fusion protein containing the carboxy-terminal 140 amino acids (aa) of the Bor56 protein, suggesting that the carboxy-terminal domain of Bor56 is not exposed on the surface of the molecule. Human immunoglobulin M (IgM) antibodies predominantly bound to antigenic domain I (AD I; amino acids [aa] 19 to 113) and AD III (aa 243 to 328). Human IgG antibodies also showed preferential binding to AD L. The epitope recognized by strain-specific MAb (K14) or group-specific MAb (K157) was mapped to AD II (aa 142 to 203). Mouse serum antibodies, elicited by immunization with deletion mutants, consistently bound to AD HU. Moreover, the carboxy-terminal 140 aa of the Bor56 protein did not elicit an antibody response in C3H/HeDub mice. A model of the antigenic structure of Bor56 is presented and discussed. These results suggest that antigenic fragments from AD I and AD III are useful in the induction of humoral immunity against O. tsutsugamushi. These antigenic analyses provide an important foundation for further analyses of the neutralizing-antibody responses generated during rickettsial infections. They also provide potential peptide substrates for diagnostic assays and vaccine strategies.Y
A study on Kim Seong-jong's detective novel
학위논문 (석사) -- 서울대학교 대학원 : 인문대학 국어국문학과, 2020. 8. 방민호.이 논문은 김성종(金聖鍾, 1941~)의 1980년대 장편 추리소설을 살펴봄으로써 김성종의 추리기법을 고찰한다. 김성종은 『최후의 증인』(1977), 『여명의 눈동자』(1975-1981)와 그의 초기 단편집으로 잘 알려져 있는 작가다. 이에 김성종은 한국 대표 추리작가로 인정받으면서도, 그동안 그의 작품을 대상으로 한 연구는 김성종의 초기작 분석에 집중하는 경향이 강했다. 그러나 초기작 외에도 김성종의 작품에서는 여러 형태의 추리기법이 강하게 드러나고 있으며, 특히, 김성종의 80년대 소설들은 추리 특징을 선명하게 드러낸다. 본고는 김성종의 추리기법이 80년대 장편 소설을 통해서 나타나고 있음을 밝힌다.
2장에서는 김성종의 소설이 토도로프가 「탐정소설의 유형」에서 제시한 추리소설의 유형 중 서스펜스(suspense)와 스릴러(thriller)의 특징을 지니고 있음을 검토한다. 서스펜스(suspense) 유형은 『얼어붙은 시간』(1984)의 분석을 통해서 확인할 것이며, 스릴러(thriller) 유형은 『나는 살고 싶다』(1981)를 검토 대상으로 삼아 논할 것이다. 특히 주인공 탐정 인물의 유형, 플롯의 구성, 서술의 형태 등 소설의 구조 요소들을 모두 고려함으로써, 탐정이라는 인물 유형의 중요성을 강조할 필요가 있다고 장하려 한다. 또한, 본고는 고첸푸드가 지적한 것처럼 추리소설을 예술 작품으로 보고자 하는데, 관련하여, 추리소설에서 나타나는 게임 요소들에 주목한다. 3장에서는 브왈로-나르스작의 역사적 접근을 참고하여 김성종의 소설에 나타난 영미와 프랑스 추리소설의 전통을 살펴볼 것이다. 영미 전통은 게임 요소들을 통해서 나타나며, 프랑스 전통은 탐정의 유형을 통해서 나타난다는 나르스작의 주장을 집중적으로 검토하여 이를 『비련의 화인』 (1985), 『일곱 개의 장미 송이』 (1980) 등을 통해서 볼 것이다. 등장인물들 간에 벌어지는 게임, 혹은 옷이나 목소리의 변장, 신원이나 서류의 변경, 화폐나 사물의 위조, 가짜 피해자의 등장 등을 영미 추리소설의 전통에 해당하는 것으로 고려해볼 것이다. 그리고 프랑스 추리소설의 특징인 경찰 탐정이 주요 역할을 하는 것과 피해자, 또는 피의자가 탐정의 역할을 하는 식의 서사 구조의 의미를 검토할 것이다.
4장에서 김성종 작품의 심리적인 요소들과 그의 문체가 지닌 특성을 검토할 것이다. 이러한 맥락에서『피아노 살인』(1985)은 특히 중요한 작품이므로, 이 소설을 집중적으로 분석할 것이다. 또한, 바흐친이 도스토예프스키에 대해 논의한 「도스또예프스끼의 창작에서 주인공에 대한 작가의 입장과 주인공」을 참고하여 검토할 것이다. 도스토예프스키의 작품을 경유하여 김성종에게 인간이 무엇인지, 또 살인을 하는 인물을 주인공으로 설정한 이유가 무엇인지 등을 해석할 것이다. 그리고 김성종의 문체, 시공간의 문제가 어떤 특징을 가지고 있는지 살펴볼 것이다. 김성종이 도시와 자연의 묘사에 집중하는 이유가 무엇인지 검토하며, 이를 통해 김성종이 작품의 분위기를 어떻게 만드는지 확인할 것이다. 또한, 본고에서는 필자가 김성종과 직접 만나 2019년 12월에 실시한 인터뷰[본 논문의 참고]의 내용이 그의 소설을 해석하고 김성종의 삶에 정보를 얻는 데 도움이 된다고 판단하여, 논의를 진행하는 과정에서 해당 인터뷰를 참고하려 한다.
김성종은 한국 추리소설 장르 작가 중 가장 잘 알려진 작가로, 오늘날에도 지속적으로 활동하는 것이 특징이다. 본 연구의 목적은 김성종이 독자를 즐겁게 하기 위해 살인을 묘사하려는 것이 아니라, 그보다 더 깊은 철학적인 문제를 보여주기 위한 추리소설을 쓴다고 주장하려는 것이다. 즉 김성종의 작품은 삶의 의미와 인간의 역할 등에 대한 문제제기를 통해서 독자와 대화하는 것이다.This study focuses on Kim Seong-jong's 1980s detective novels. Kim Seong-jongs works are very important in the history of Korean modern literature, but they have not been studied enough. Kim Seong-jong became one of the most famous writers of the detective genre after liberation. His best-known works are The last witness, 1979 and Eyes of dawn, 1981 and most studies concentrates either on these two novels or on his early short stories. But his later works also deserve attention in context of detective novels features. The general purpose of the study is to analyze Kim Sung-Jongs 1980s novels and find out which features of the detective genre appear in this period.
Chapter 2 examines the elements of suspense and thriller genres in Kim Seong-jongs novels, concentrating on the analysis of The Frozen Time (1984) and I want to live (1981). To explain this, it is necessary to look through The Typology of Detective Fiction (1966) by Tzvetan Todorov and find what he considers to be suspense and thriller types of detective fiction. It is also important to consider all the structural elements of the novel, such as the type of the protagonist, the composition of the plot, and the form of narrative. It is also necessary to examine the type of detective character.
Chapter 3 discusses Mark of love (1985), Seven Roses (1980) etc. in terms of the historical approach made by Boileau-Narcejac who claimed that it is possible to divide detective fiction to Anglo-American and French tradition. To do this so-called game phenomenon, such as games that characters play with each other, change of clothes or voices, replacement of documents, money or objects; fake victims etc. needs to be considered. Further, the meaning of the narrative structure, in which the police and the criminal both can appear as detectives is discussed.
Finally, in chapter 4 the psychological elements of Kim Seong-jong's work are explained. This is examined through Piano Murder (1985), and is reviewed by referring to the author's position on the protagonist and the main character comparing with Dostoevsky. Also, Mihail Bakhtin research on Dostoevsky is used to supply this statement. Dostoevsky's notion of human beings helps to understand what it means for Kim Seong-jong and why he has set the murderer as the main character. In addition, the interview conducted with Kim Seong-jong completes this study as one method to find some answers about the writers biography.
Kim Seong-jong remains the most important and well recognized Korean author in detective genre and continues to create novels today. This study aims to note that Kim Seong-jong does not just concentrate on murder to entertain its reader, but tries to discuss such philosophical concepts as meaning of life and place of a human being in the word.1. 서론 1

Orientia tsutsugamushi, the etiological agent of scrub typhus, is an antigenically diverse organism and many serologically distinct strains have been identified. The 56 kDa protein of O. tsutsugamushi, a major protein in the outer membrane, has been thought to be responsible for this antigenic variability. A strain of O. tsutsugamushi isolated in Korea cross-reacted with both Gilliam strain-specific and Karp strain-specific monoclonal antibodies. When its 56 kDa protein gene was cloned and analyzed, its sequence showed variation especially between 1,200 and 1,250 bp, showing that this isolate is a new O. tsutsugamushi strain.N
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Tailoring nanostructured NbCoSn-based thermoelectric materials via crystallization of an amorphous precursor
Tailoring nanostructures is nowadays a common approach for enhancing the performance of thermoelectric Heusler compounds by decreasing the thermal conductivity without significantly affecting the electrical conductivity. However, the most widely reported method for obtaining nanostructured thermoelectrics, an approach based on crushing as-cast alloy ingots followed by sintering of the debris, only gives limited control of the final nanostructure due to residual elemental segregation after casting. Here, a novel approach for fabricating nanostructured Heusler compounds is presented, which is based on crystallizing an amorphous precursor of NbCo1.1Sn composition. This method yields two distinct nanostructures, namely one comprising only half-Heusler grains and another one comprising half-Heusler grains and full-Heusler nano-precipitates. The latter sample exhibits enhanced negative Seebeck coefficients as compared to the former over a wide temperature range. Using advanced characterization techniques, such as high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and atom probe tomography, in conjunction with ab initio density functional theory, detailed insights into the nanostructure and electrical properties of the specimens are provided. 학위논문(석사)--아주대학교 일반대학원 :기계공학과,2011. 2차량의 화석 연료 사용량에 따른 지구 환경 오염 및 온난화의 영향은 매우 중요한 요인임은 이미 알려진 사실이다. 연비는 차량의 엔진, 변속기, 발전기 등의 많은 부품이 발달함에 따라 향상되었다. 본 연구는 경사를 갖는 고속도로에서 주행저항을 계산, 예측하여 차량의 속도를 제어함으로서 연비를 향상할 수 있는 방안을 다루었다. 이 방안은 실험하고자 하는 영동고속도로의 GPS 거리와 고도 데이터를 취득하여 미리 차량의 ECU에 저장한다. 이제 이 차량에 GPS 수신기를 장착하고 같은 고속도로를 주행한다. 이때 GPS로 부터 수신된 고속도로의 현재의 거리와 고도 데이터 그리고 미리 저장되어 있던 다음의 거리와 고도 데이터를 이용하여 도로의 경사각과 등판저항을 계산한다. 현재 차량의 속도를 고려한 공기저항, 경사각을 이용한 등판저항, 가속저항, 구름저항을 계산하고 등판저항과 다른 저항과의 관계식을 설정함으로서 다음 위치의 차량 속도 예측이 가능하다.
연비 개선을 위한 3가지 알고리즘을 제안하고 각각의 속도 프로파일을 생성, 모의 실험하여 연비를 비교 분석하였다. 주행 차량은 2,356㏄ 소나타NF를 사용하였으며 고속도로 전 구간을 정속 주행한 CONSTVEL 연비 대비 3.7% 또는 4.8%의 개선 효과를 보인 CVELCONT2 또는 CVELCONT3 알고리즘을 Eco-cruise drive 방안으로 제안한다.제1장 서론 1

ABSTRACTMasterA vehicle fuel economy is very important issue in view of fuel cost and environmental regulation.
It has been improved according to the performance improvement of the vehicle engine, power train and many components.
In this paper, a fuel economy improving scheme as controling a vehicle velocity by road load calculated and predicted in an expressway with grade was studied.
The distance and altitude data of Youngdong expressway are measured with GPS sensor and these data are saved in the ECU of the test vehicle in advance.
Then the test vehicle equipped with GPS receiver is driven in the same expressway.
The ECU calculates the gradient angles and gradient resistances of the test expressway by comparing the current received distance and altitude data from GPS with the saved data ahead of the vehicle.
The aerodynamic resistance, acceleration resistance and the rolling resistance are calculated with the various given conditions like the current velocity.
It is possible to predict the velocity profile of that vehicle by relating equations of the gradient resistance and other resistances.
Three algorithms with different velocity profiles for improvement of fuel economy are proposed, compared and analysed with the computer simulation results.
The test vehicle is SONATA-NF with 2,356㏄ displacement. The proposed CVELCONT2 and CVELCONT3 algorithms were improved 3.7% and 4.8% of fuel economy compared with CONSTVEL which is the steady cruising algorithm and these two algorithms are recommended as the Eco-cruise drive schemes in this study
