Penjernihan Air dengan Metode Rapid Sand Filter Menggunakan Zeolit dan Karbon Aktif Sebagai Adsorben di Kelurahan Lingkar Selatan, Kota Jambi.
The need for clean water for the citizens of Jambi City still remains a serious problem until now. Ironically, for the past five years, the difficulty of fulfilling the need for clean water in some areas of Jambi City is even more alarming. The supply of tap water to the citizen’s houses is still not smooth. So as an alternative, citizens use ground water as a source of water. However, the groundwater obtained is still cloudy and smelly, and the flow of water causes the formation of the crust on the bathroom wall. This will certainly hamper the productivity and the economy of the citizens. Efforts are needed to overcome this problem so that people can get clean water. In this program, conducted a counseling or socialization on the way of water treatment from well water. This community service program aims to share knowledge about how to conduct water purification process to the community so that citizens can consume clean water. In this program, performed demonstration of a simple water purifier using Rapid Sand Filter method in the presence of zeolite and activated carbon that will maximize the water purification process
Synthesis of slow-release fertilizer with coconut shell biochar and activated natural zeolite for red onion (Allium ascalonium)
Using fertilizers is one of the efforts to increase crop productivity, but conventional fertilizers tend to be easily leached so it becomes ineffective. Slow-release fertilizer (SRF) is a modified fertilizer that releases nutrients slowly or gradually so that the use of fertilizer becomes more effective. SRF can be synthesized by mixing fertilizers with zeolite as a slow-release agent. Because natural zeolite contains many impurities that cover the pores of the zeolite, it is necessary to carry out an activation process to increase the pore capacity of the zeolite so that the process of absorption of nutrients in the SRF becomes more leverage. This study aimed to synthesize NPKSMg slow-release fertilizer with coconut shell biochar and activated natural zeolite for red onion plants (Allium ascalonium). Coconut shell biochar was used as a source of potassium. The activation process of natural zeolite was carried out by the desilication method using a basic solution of NaOH as an activator. Based on the results of research using activated natural zeolite on SRF, the surface structure of SRF became more porous, with a porosity percentage of 69.31%. In addition, the use of activated natural zeolites increased the absorption of nutrients in fertilizers. The use of biochar in SRF increased the percentage of porosity by 66.32%. The use of coconut shell biochar as a matrix and activated natural zeolite as a slow-release agent in SRF NPK S Mg for red onion plants has succeeded in increasing red onion yields
Utilizing Financial Technology, Financial Literacy, and Financial Self-Efficacy in Achieving Generation Zoomer’s Financial Inclusion
Economic development in the digital era is very rapid, which also encourages people to gain access to financial product services called financial inclusion. The growing population in Indonesia, which is dominated by generation Z, makes financial inclusion very important for those of productive age. This research aims to determine the influence of financial technology, financial literacy and financial self-efficacy on financial inclusion. The population is generation Z in the city of Semarang, a total of 60 respondents taken using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection uses a questionnaire with Likert scale parameters. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression and is processed using SPSS version 29 software. Research findings show that the variables financial technology, financial literacy and financial self-efficacy have a positive and significant influence on financial inclusion. Based on these findings, it shows that the better the knowledge related to financial technology, financial literacy and financial self-efficacy, the better the financial inclusion will be.In today’s digital context, economic development moves quickly, promoting widespread access tofinancial product services known as financial inclusion. In Indonesia, where the expanding GenerationZoomer (Gen Z) population wields power, increasing financial inclusion among the productive age cohortis critical. This study aims to ascertain the influence of financial technology, financial literacy, andfinancial self-efficacy on financial inclusion within this demographic. The research method employed inthis study is a quantitative methodology, which targets Gen Z residents of Semarang. The study selected60 respondents via purposive sampling and acquired data using a questionnaire with Likert 1-5 scaleparameters. The data was then analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of StatisticalPackage for the Social Sciences (SPSS) Version 29. The results of this study indicate that financial technology, financial literacy, and financial self-efficacy positively and significantly impact financial inclusion. The implications of this research highlight the pivotal role of financial technology, financial literacy, andfinancial self-efficacy in fostering greater financial inclusion among Gen Z. By proving the positive andsignificant impact of these factors on financial inclusion; the study underscores the importance of targetedinterventions aimed at enhancing knowledge and skills in financial technology, literacy, and self-efficacyamong young adults. As a result, the study contributes to the ongoing discourse on promoting financialinclusion and economic empowerment among the youth population, thereby fostering sustainable socioeconomic development in the digital era
(A study on microencapsulation of pepper oleoresin by using spray drying)
Microencapsulation of pepper oleoresin was conducted by using spray dryer in which gelatin, Tween 80, sodium alginat and dextrin were the wall material and pepper oleoresin and lecithin were the core material. The influence of solids concentration and drying condition on the product of microencapsulation and the retention of piperine and volatile oil.Drying temperature, however, may decrease the content of piperine and volatile oil in the product microencapsulated
