Improving customer service within Asian culture at Hilton hotel
The purpose of this thesis is investigating specific perspective which perceives Asian service culture among international standard to reinforce customer service in hospitality.
The research presents customer service at the Hilton Hotel and Resorts, the importance of customer service in the Hospitality industry, customer satisfaction analysis model, definition about SERVQUAL, which stands for five dimensions of service quality, the value of perceiving Asian culture to improve customer service for Asian guests. The qualitative research method for this thesis is completed by interviewing two different groups of people.
The thesis puts an effort to clarify several facts about Asian culture, which is related to the Hospitality industry, such as habit lifestyle, etiquette, special traditional culture, hobby, and so on. The author is gathering authentic information from expert people who are currently working in the Hilton Hotel and Resorts, and in other hotels, opinions of some Asian guests are also collected to analyze.
This research concentrates on the improvement of customer service within Asian culture at the Hilton Hotel. In detail, the research is to understand Asian culture and serve Asian customers better by the Hilton Hotel system over the world. The author used qualitative method to analyze the improvement of Asian culture at the Hilton Hotel. The instrument tool in the research was the interview. The result of findings showed that Hilton Helsinki Kalastajatorppa could improve their customer service by helping customers, supporting them, and answering all questions within their ability. In addition, the hotel was better to study Asian culture; for example, providing popular food in Asia such as instant noodles would make customer satisfied. The language was a problem to make customer service better. The result of the interview revealed that employees of the hotel should take a trip to another Hilton in Asia to study, experience, and more understand local people. The second result of the interview presented that in order to improve customer service, employees must put themselves in the shoes of customers so that they could understand what customers want and need. Training course about customer service is extremely necessary to enhance the professional skills of employees

The site is located 15 km west of Wolverhampton and 8 km east of Bridgnorth at 52o33’05.7”N, 2o19’18.3”W (U.K. National Grid Reference SO778952). It covers 0.52 hectares (5,214 m2) and has an upper elevation of 67.46 metres O.D.. The soil is a loamy sand (Psammept) of the Bridgnorth series. The site was established in 1976 and possesses a meteorological station, 21 runoff plots and soil moisture measuring equipment, including lysimeters. Stream monitoring equipment includes an Ott stage recorder at a rated section, an automatic water sampler and bedload traps. The Hilton Site supports undergraduate, postgraduate and staff research programmes

The analysis of medium-sized arrays of complex elements using a combination of FDTD and reaction matching
The analysis of medium-sized arrays of complex antenna elements by means of a full-wave technique often requires impractical amounts of computer power. Nevertheless, it is essential that all the mutual couplings between elements are taken into account. A technique is presented in which the individual element is characterized using the FDTD method and, using the information this provides, the behavior of the complete array is predicted using a method based on reaction matching. Results using this method are compared to measurement and to results obtained using a complete full-wave analysis for three- and five-element arrays of printed dipoles. The error introduced by the approximation is shown to be small in most cases. For arrays of between 10 and 50 elements, savings in computer time of several orders of magnitude can be achieved and, in addition, changes in array geometry do not always necessitate all the results being recalculate

An Appraisal Analysis of Gossip News Texts Written By Perez Hilton From Perezhilton.com (A Study Based on Systemic Functional Linguistics)
Clara Ertyas P. 2011. An Appraisal Analysis of Gossip News Texts Written By Perez Hilton From Perezhilton.com (A Study Based on Systemic Functional Linguistics).English Department, Faculty of Letters and Fine Arts, Sebelas Maret University.
This research explored the appraisal system in the gossip news text written by Perez Hilton, taken from his website, perezhilton.com. There were eight texts that were analyzed. They were two texts of Katy Perry, two text of Leona Lewis, two text of Miley Cyrus, and two texts of Chris Brown, which were analyzed using Appraisal Theory. Appraisal theory is concerned with attitude, graduation, and engagement. The objectives of this thesis were to find out what appraising items applied in those texts; how they were applied; and why they were applied, including the ideology.
This was a descriptive qualitative research. The technique of taking sample used in this research was total sampling. There were two data in this research, the primary data which was sourced from the eight analyzed texts, and the secondary data which was contained the information of Perez Hilton related to his writings.
The results show that the three kinds of attitudes (affect, jugdment, and appreciation) are applied in the texts, but mostly is judgment. The types of the items are in the forms of word, nominal group and clause. Mostly the attitudes are in the forms of epithet group, attitudinal lexis and mental process clauses. Meanwhile, the engagement is mostly monogloss.
The moslty graduation is force, and the scaling of the graduation is up- scaled. The attitudes are applied through the strong expression, and they are applied in Analytical Exposition genre. Additionally, the texts are written subjectively based on the writer’s aspiration.
The appraising items are applied in the texts because of the ideologies that the writer wants to convey. The ideologies are right antagonist for texts exposing Katy Perry and Leona Lewis; and left antagonist for texts exposing Miley Cyrus and Chris Brown. The ideology shows the writer’s style in writing gossip news text that he supports the artist if he likes and conversely he challenges the artists
who he does not like
