This study aims to analyze and see how Gulbadan Begum\u27s contribution to the Mughal Sultanate. This research is a qualitative research and uses a historical methodology through library research based on a comparison of the data obtained and processed by the author, and describes what Gulbadan Begum did during the reign of Sultan Humayun and Sultan Akbar, and contributions to science. knowledge. The results of this study resulted in some of the best policies for the palace of the Mughal Sultanate. In addition, several scientists appeared in the Mughal Sultanate who made when Sultan Akbar ruled it was written that his era was the era of the pride of the Mughal SultanatePenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis serta melihat bagaimana Kontribusi Gulbadan Begum dalam Kesultanan Mughal. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Kualitatif dan menggunakan metodologi sejarah melalui studi pustaka (Library Research) berdasarkan perbandingan data-data yang telah di didapatkan dan diolah oleh penulis, dan memaparkan apa saja yang telah Gulbadan Begum semasa ketika Sultan Humayun, dan Sultan Akbar berkuasa, dan kontribusi dalam ilmu pengetahuan. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa kebijakan yang terbaik untuk istana Kesultanan Mughal. Selain itu juga muncul beberapa ilmuwan-ilmuwan di Kesultanan Mughal yang membuat ketika Sultan Akbar memimpin dituliskan bahwa era nya adalah era keemasan Kesultanan Mugha
Mosquito Larvicidal Constituents from Lantana Viburnoides SP Viburnoides Var Kisi (A. rich) Verdc (Verbenaceae).

Lantana viburnoides sp viburnoides var kisi is used in Tanzania ethnobotanically to repel mosquitoes as well as in traditional medicine for stomach ache relief. Bioassay-guided fractionation and subtraction bioassays of the dichloromethane extract of the root barks were carried out in order to identify the bioactive components for controlling Anopheles gambiae s.s. mosquito larvae. Twenty late III or early IV instar larvae of An. gambiae s.s. were exposed to various concentrations of the plant extracts, fractions, blends and pure compounds, and were assayed in the laboratory by using the protocol of WHO 1996. Mean mortalities were compared using Dunnett's test (p < 0.05) and lethal concentration calculated by Lackfit Inversel of the SAS programme. The crude extract (LC50 = 7.70 ppm in 72 h) and fractions exhibited different level of mosquito larvicidal activity with subtraction of some fractions resulting in activity enhancement. The active fractions contained furanonaphthaquinones regio-isomers (LC50 = 5.48-5.70 ppm in 72 h) and the lantadene triterpenoid camaric acid (LC50 = 6.19 ppm in 72 h) as active principles while the lupane triterpenoid betulinic acid (LC50 < 10 ppm in 72 h) was obtained from the least active fraction. Crude extracts and some fractions had higher or comparable larvicidal activity to the pure compounds. These results demonstrate that L. viburnoides sp viburnoides var kisi extracts may serve as larvicides for managing various mosquito habitats even in their semi-purified form. The isolated compounds can be used as distinct markers in the active extracts or plant materials belonging to the genus Lantana

Proteomic analysis of human low-density lipoprotein reveals the presence of prenylcysteine lyase, a hydrogen peroxide-generating enzyme
The molecular mechanisms underlying the relationship between low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and the risk of atherosclerosis are not clear. Therefore, detailed information on the protein composition of LDL may help to reveal its role in atherogenesis. Liquid-phase IEF has been used to resolve LDL proteins into well-defined fractions on the basis of pI, which improves the subsequent detection and resolution of low abundance proteins. Besides known LDL-associated proteins, this approach revealed the presence of proteins not previously described to reside in LDL, including prenylcysteine lyase (PCL1), orosomucoid, retinol-binding protein, and paraoxonase-1. PCL1, an enzyme crucial for the degradation of prenylated proteins, generates free cysteine, isoprenoid aldehyde and hydrogen peroxide. Addition of the substrate farnesylcysteine to lipoprotein resulted in a time-dependent generation of H(2)O(2) which was stronger in very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) than in LDL or HDL, reflecting the greater protein content of PCL1 in VLDL. Farnesol, a dead end inhibitor of the PCL1 reaction, reduced H(2)O(2) generation by VLDL. PCL1 is generated along with nascent lipoprotein, as shown by its presence in the lipoprotein secreted by HepG2 cells. The finding that an enzyme associated with atherogenic lipoproteins can itself generate an oxidant suggests that PCL1 may play a significant role in atherogenesis

Commodifying multicultures: urban regeneration and the politics of space in Spitalfields
PhDSpitalfields, within close distance to the City of London. has been subject to intense
regeneration and gentrification in recent years. This thesis investigates the use of
culture in promoting urban regeneration. This thesis analyses the role of
multiculturally based regeneration in Spitalfields and assesses the possibilities for
civic engagement in a number of recent regeneration initiatives. I argue that
regeneration in Spitalfields has taken a cultural turn, and that a new set of discourses
is present in regeneration practices. These new forms of regeneration practices
demand a different kind of interpretation. This distinctiveness in policy consists of
the use and mobilisation of 'culture' and 'multicultural capital' as tools for
regeneration. Most notably the study's timing during a phase of intense change sets it
apart as one of the few studies undertaken of the complex relationship between the
new cultural industries, multicultural capital and the practice of selling places. The
study's theoretical framework draws from a range of inter-disciplinary literature on
urban space. cultural politics and feminist theory.
In capturing a series of moments that took place between 2000 and 2003,1
analyse a range of regeneration initiatives but focus closely on three case studies: the
construction of Banglatown in Brick Lane, the Rich Mix Centre for London, and the
annual street festivals/melas that took place in 2001 and 2002. I focused on two sets
of respondents - young people and young Muslim women whose experiences of
regeneration raise unsettling questions of inclusion and exclusion in/through space.
Cumulatively these sites are key examples of Spitalfields' multi-cultural spaces.
They extend a sense of promise to all its residents in the hope of a cosmopolitan
future or progressive city politics.
The tensions from these cultural strategies pose challenges for thinking about the
place of citizenship in urban multicultures. The research findings point to a
sophisticated understanding of the relationship of ethnicity, gender, commerce and
public space
Deep Learning for Automatic EEG Feature Extraction: An Application in Drivers’ Mental Workload Classification
In the pursuit of reducing traffic accidents, drivers’ mental workload (MWL) has been considered as one of the vital aspects. To measure MWL in different driving situations Electroencephalography (EEG) of the drivers has been studied intensely. However, in the literature, mostly, manual analytic methods are applied to extract and select features from the EEG signals to quantify drivers’ MWL. Nevertheless, the amount of time and effort required to perform prevailing feature extraction techniques leverage the need for automated feature extraction techniques. This work investigates deep learning (DL) algorithm to extract and select features from the EEG signals during naturalistic driving situations. Here, to compare the DL based and traditional feature extraction techniques, a number of classifiers have been deployed. Results have shown that the highest value of area under the curve of the receiver operating characteristic (AUC-ROC) is 0.94, achieved using the features extracted by convolutional neural network autoencoder (CNN-AE) and support vector machine. Whereas, using the features extracted by the traditional method, the highest value of AUC-ROC is 0.78 with the multi-layer perceptron. Thus, the outcome of this study shows that the automatic feature extraction techniques based on CNN-AE can outperform the manual techniques in terms of classification accuracy
Proteome of endothelial cell-derived procoagulant microparticles.
Microparticles (MP) are small membrane vesicles that are released from cells upon activation or during apoptosis. Cellular MP in body fluids constitute a heterogeneous population, differing in cellular origin, numbers, size, antigenic composition and functional properties. MP support coagulation by exposure of tissue factor (TF), the initiator of coagulation in vivo. Moreover, MP may transfer bioactive molecules to other cells, thereby stimulating them to produce cytokines, cell-adhesion molecules, growth factors and TF, and modulate endothelial functions. However, a comprehensive characterization of the antigenic composition of MP has been poorly defined. This study describes the protein composition of endothelial cell (EC)-derived MP (EMP) using a proteomic approach. MS analysis indicated the presence of newly described protein such as metabolic enzymes, proteins involved in adhesion and fusion processes, members of protein folding event, cytoskeleton associated proteins and nucleosome. In conclusion, circulating EMP behave as an actual storage pool, able to disseminate blood-borne TF activity and other bioactive effectors, as confirmed by our experiments showing an increased procoagulant activity of EC exposed to EMP

The title compound, C14H20N2OS2 [systematic name: S-hexyl (E)-2-(2-hydroxybenzylidene)hydrazine-1-carbodithioate], crystallizes with four independent molecules (A–D) in the asymmetric unit. All four molecules adopt an E conformation with respect to the C=N bond of the benzylidene moiety and have an intramolecular O—H...N hydrogen bond generating an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, the A and D molecules are connected by a pair N—H...S hydrogen bonds, forming a dimer with an R22(8) ring motif. In the case of molecules B and C, they are linked to themselves by pairs of N—H...S hydrogen bonds, forming B–B and C–C inversion dimers with R22(8) ring motifs
Sharing stories: complex intervention for diabetes education in minority ethnic groups who do not speak English
Objective: To develop and refine a complex intervention for diabetes support and education in minority ethnic groups, delivered through bilingual health advocates.
Design: Action research framework-a variety of methods used in an emergent and developmental manner, in partnership with clinicians, managers, and service users, drawing especially but not exclusively on narrative methods.
Setting: Deprived inner London district.
Interventions: Development and evaluation of three components of the complex intervention: a group based learning set for bilingual health advocates, in which stories about clients with diabetes formed the basis for action learning; advocate led support and education groups for people with diabetes, which used personal stories as the raw material for learning and action; organisational support to help to develop these new models and embed them within existing services.
Results: Both advocate groups and user groups were popular and well evaluated. Through storytelling, advocates identified and met their own educational needs in relation to diabetes and the unmet needs of service users. In the advocate led user groups, story fragments were exchanged in a seemingly chaotic way that the research team initially found difficult to facilitate or follow. Stories were not so much told as enacted and were often centred on discussion of "what to do." Whereas some organisations welcomed, successfully implemented, and sustained the advocate led groups, others failed to do so. A key component of the complex intervention was organisational support.
Conclusions: An action research approach allowed engagement with an underserved group of health service staff and with hard to reach service users. ne study produced subjective benefits to these groups locally as well as a worked-up complex intervention that will now be formally tested in a randomised controlled trial
