Following Simone de Beauvoir ́s footsteps
Esta comunicación pretende devolver a la autora francesa Simone de Beauvoir el lugar que en justicia le corresponde: hito del pensamiento contemporáneo. Su revisión de los conceptos filosóficos tradicionales se convirtió en un precioso bisturí con el que roturar la realidad y los mitos en los que se hallan inmersas las mujeres. El resultado final fue una nueva categoría de análisis: lo Otro o lugar donde el hombre ha situado a la mujer convirtiéndola en una idea. A través de sus reflexiones Simone de Beauvoir quiso comunicar lo que había de original en su experiencia, deseaba trascender y dejó huellas. Sus huellas se pueden rastrear tanto en el pensamiento feminista de corte ilustrado como en el discurso de la diferencia, pero, es tal su poder evocador, que consigue superar el ámbito de la ética para trasladarse al de la estética. Judy Chicago, Martha Rosler y Ana Mendieta serán algunos de los nombres propios encargados trasladar al mundo del arte la impronta de Beauvoir: cuando las mujeres sueñan no tienen por qué hacerlo con los sueños de los hombres.The purpose of this article is to bring Simone

myths and realities surrounding women. The
result of the process was a new analytical
category: Otherness, the place where men
placed Woman as merely an idea. Simone
de Beauvoir communicated her experience
through her thoughts; she wanted to
transcend, to leave traces. Those traces can
be followed both in today´s feminist thought
and in the discourses about difference, but
Beauvoir´s thought is so powerful that it goes
beyond ethics into the field of aesthetics. Judy
Chicago, Marta Rosler and Ana Mendieta are
some of the artists that translate Beauvoir´s

Para além do "tornar-se": ressonâncias das leituras feministas de O Segundo sexo no Brasil
Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas. Programa de Pós-graduação em HistóriaPublicado em 1949 na França, O Segundo Sexo passou a ser uma das obras pioneiras dos estudos sobre as mulheres e das relações de gênero, sendo referência para os feminismos principalmente a partir dos anos 60 e 70. Nesta obra, ao analisar minuciosamente a "condição da mulher" na sociedade, Beauvoir compreendeu que a "figura feminina" e as posturas que lhes são atribuídas nada mais são do que construções do social produzidas ao longo da história. Partindo de uma história da leitura de O Segundo Sexo, informada pelas narrativas e pelas obras de divulgação das feministas brasileiras, este trabalho busca refletir sobre as possíveis ressonâncias que o texto de Simone de Beauvoir teria produzido no feminismo nacional. Published in 1949 in France, The Second Sex became one of the pioneer works of the studies on the women and of the gender relations, being mainly reference for the feminisms starting from the sixties and seventies. In this work, when analyzing the "woman's condition" minutely in the society, Beauvoir understood that the "feminine figure" and the postures that are attributed to them are nothing more than constructions of the social produced along the history. Leaving of a history of the reading of The Second Sex, informed by the narratives and for the works of the Brazilian feminists, this work intends to reflect about the possible resonances that the text of Simone de Beauvoir would have produced in the national feminism

Il saggio indaga i nodi cruciali della formazione di De Simone in relazione al vivace milieu culturale palermitano e alla luce dell'influenza esercitata da maestri del XX secolo come Pablo Picasso, Henry Matisse e Marc Chagall.The contribution examines for the first time the pictorial production of Giovanni De Simone in relation to his original research in the field of ceramics, his privileged expressive tool. Simone de Beauvoir en España: sus obras traducidas y su recepción en la prensa
In the times of the restrictive socio political and cultural Franco context, our author’s presence went progressively growing as the prohibitions were loosed, becoming a plain and visible presence during the Transition times if we take into account her reception in the Spanish edition world and in the Press. Considering, on one hand, first the high number of her works (re) editions as well as, afterward, the new Second Sex translation into Spanish (1999, 2005) and, on the other hand, the good and very good valuation (obviously unequal according to the ideology) of the Press, our author is now a classic in our country. It is true that in some Humanities fields her consecration is irrefutable since she is of compulsory mention, nevertheless in the Literary Studies she hasn’t benefited of the same chance. Still enduring the accusations of misoginy and those of defending masculine values –some long time accusations since they go back to the publication of the Second Sex in France, and after taken on the behalf of the postmodern French feminism–, new times in the reception of Simone de Beauvoir can be predicted since Julia Kristeva claims for the (Re) discovering of Simone de Beauvoir...En los tiempos del contexto socio político y cultural tan restrictivo, la presencia de Simone de Beauvoir fue gradualmente incrementándose a medida que el régimen totalitario relajó las prohibiciones, para llegar a ser total a partir de la Transición a tenor de su acogida en el mundo editorial y periodístico. Pues, por un lado, primero por el ingente número de ediciones y reediciones de sus obras, así como, posteriormente, por la nueva traducción al castellano del Segundo Sexo en Cátedra (1999, 2005) y, por otro lado, por su valoración –eso sí, desigual en función de la ideología– de la prensa, nuestra autora es ya un clásico en nuestro Estado. Si bien es cierto que en determinados ámbitos del saber su consagración es irrefutable, en los Estudios Literarios, sin embargo, no ha tenido la misma suerte por pesarle todavía una desconsideración motivada por las acusaciones de misoginia y de ensalzamiento de los valores masculinos, desconsideraciones surgidas ya con la publicación del Segundo Sexo y retomadas posteriormente por cuenta del feminismo postmoderno francés. Ahora bien se auguran nuevos aires en la recepción de nuestra autora en este ámbito de estudio ya que la misma Julia Kristeva apunta a un (Re)descubrimiento de Simone de Beauvoir..
