Sumber utama kemerosotan umat Islam zaman ini ada pada tidak berjalannya pendidikan keimanan secara benar, sehingga syahadat yang semestinya menghantarkan umat ini pada kecintaan ilmu dan jihad menjadi tergerus sedemikian rupa. K.H. Abdullah Said Pendiri dan pimpinan Pondok Pesantren Hidayatullah merupakan penggagas konsep atau ide pendidikan yang bersumber dari al-Qur’ân surah-surah pendek yang pertama turun secara sistematis, menunjukkan bahwa keimanan merupakan hal pokok yang wajib dimiliki oleh setiap muslim karena keimanan yang kuat dan jelas maka seorang muslim akan memiliki mentalitas kokoh yang melahirkan satu kesadaran tauhid yang mendorong jiwa dan raga secara totalitas untuk mengabdi hanya kepada Allah swt. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bermaksud (1) mendeskripsikan konsep konsep pendidikan K.H. Abdullah Said dalam pengembangan pondok pesantren Hidayatullah Balikpapan dan (2) mendeskripsikan praktik pendidikan K.H. Abdullah Said dalam pengembangan pondok pesantren Hidayatullah Balikpapan.
Penelitian ini dijalankan di Pondok Pesantren Hidayatullah Balikpapan dengan metode penelitian yaitu deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data digali dengan menggunakan teknik observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam, dan study dokumenter dengan tahapan orientasi, ekplorasi dan member chek. Selanjutnya data hasil kajian dianalisis dengan cara reduksi, display dan kesimpulan ditarik berdasarkan analisis induktif melalui kegiatan reduksi dan interpretasi.
Temuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Konsep dan praktik pendidikan K.H. Abdullah Said yang telah dikembangkan merujuk kepada al-Qur’ân ayat pertama turun kepada Nabi swt. Muhammad saw yang terefleksi dalam Sistimatika Nuzulnya Wahyu (SNW) yang merupakan metode pemahaman tentang bagaimana kembali kepada al-Qur’ân dan Sunnaẖ dengan urutan Wahyu ke-1, Q.S. al-’Alaq [96]:1-5 (membangun kesadaran hidup bertauhid). Wahyu ke-2, Q.S. al-Qalam [68]: 1-7 (perintah agar memiliki khittaẖ yang jelas). Wahyu ke-3, Q.S. al-Muzammil [73]: 1-10 (melahirkan mental dan jiwa yang kokoh). Wahyu ke-4, Q.S. al-Muddatstsir [74]:1-7 (memerintahkan amar ma’rûfdannahî munkâr). Wahyu ke-5, Q.S. al-Fâtiẖaẖ [1:] 1-7. (frame work tentang ajaran Islam secara kaffaẖ); (2) Praktik Pendidikan K.H. Abdullah Said yang telah dikembangkan dikenal sebagai Kurikulum Berbasis Tauhid,merupakan pengembangan kurikulum dengan struktur integral, dengan pembelajaran Sistematika Nuzulnya Wahyu tingkat Madrasah Aliyah dan mata kuliah Tsaqafah Hidayatullah jenjang Perguruan Tinggi. Prosesnya secara klasikal dan non-klasikal, didukung oleh lingkungan pesantren yang integral menerapkan semangat berislam yang ketat dan regulasi yang berlandaskan syariat Islam

Conflict of law and the methodology of Tarjīẖ : a study in Islamic legal theory
Islamic law never achieved unity but expressed itself in, at least, four surviving schools. More interestingly, contemporary Muslim communities are still divided among themselves on a number of issues related to their laws. This work describes how problem of legal conflicts have been tackled by Muslim jurists. It is an attempt to examine closely the phenomenon of conflict in Islamic law from the standpoint of usūl-al-fiqh or Islamic legal theory. In fact, much is heard nowadays of the contradiction in the body of Islamic law. Whilst in contrast, little is presented in terms of the methodology of removing this conflict. The present work therefore, attempts to redress this balance. The emphasis of the work will be concerned primarily with tarjīh methodology ; how to give preference to one piece of evidence or argument over the other when they conflict. Nevertheless, considerable concern is given to investigating the background to the conflict of law in the Shari'ah.
This study of a neglected area in Islamic legal scholarship will be an important source of reference to students, both practising and theoretical jurists or to anyone who merely wishes to increase his knowledge of legal themes, particularly legal conflict. The very aim of the work is to argue that conflict is a natural and unavoidable consequence of legal study because legal conflict is only conflicting principles and arguments adduced by both the classical and modern jurists to reach what is actually intended by God in the target case. Therefore, conflicts are inevitable in most of the cases in fiqh owing to the variety of principles set out to deal with one piece of legal evidence, let alone with all the pieces of legal evidence in question.
Tarjīh is therefore, an important and workable instrument in the re-examination of these conflicts and in arriving at the most accurate principle for establishing the law for as long as this is possible. It is hoped that the discovery of new facts and the increase of knowledge which results from the broadening and deepening of the research will positively contribute to the process of unification of Islamic law
Investigating a novel magnetic MAX phase nitride and its (001)-surfaces
Magnetic MAX phases including their surfaces exhibit promising functional properties for magneto-electronic devices and self-monitoring smart coatings. By employing an integrated ab-initio approach, here we investigate a new member of the MAX phase, Mn2AuN. This compound satisfies the chemical, mechanical and dynamical stability criteria, leading to a possibility of its synthesis, and exhibits electronic and elastic anisotropy. The identified ferromagnetic configuration (with high Curie temperature) is the most energetically favorable among the five different spin configurations i.e., non-magnetic, ferromagnetic, and three anti-ferromagnetic. From the coatings perspective, the surface properties of Mn2AuN(001) terminations are investigated considering the four possible surface termination models. Remarkably, the magnetism does not get vanished even after cleaving the bulk unit cell into the (001)-surfaces. While evaluating the surface energetics in different chemical potentials, the N-001 terminated surface comes out to be the most stable termination contrasting with carbide MAX phases and is the only termination that exhibits the magnetic characteristics.This is a manuscript of an article published as Qureshi, Muhammad Waqas, Xinxin Ma, Guangze Tang, and Durga Paudyal. The Concept of Multicultural Education in Al-Qur’an Surah Al-Hujarat Verse 11-13
Many normative basis on multiculturalism exist in the Holy Book of Qor’an. Islamic multicultural education is a solution to the problem of intolerance behavior towards human diversity. This study is discussed the concept of multicultural Islamic education in Surah Al-Hujurat verses 11, 12 and 13 based on both perspective of interpretation of Ibn Kathir's and Al-Misbah's. This study is library study through a thematic approach. The primary data taken from the interpretation of Ibnu Katsir and the interpretation of Al-Misbah. Furthermore, the secondary data were obtained from relevant books and articles. Data were collected through the documentation by collecting, classifying, quoting, checking data related to the study. The instrument of this study is the researcher himself, who acts as a planner, executor, collector, analyzer, and interpreter of the data. Data were analyzed using content analysis methods (hermeneutic interpretation) and maudhu’ i method. There are three fundamental concepts of Islamic multicultural education contained in the Al-Quran surah Al-Hujurat verses 11-13. The first is to avoid mocking and insulting other people, Secondly, keep away from prejudice and gossipping others, and Thirdly, getting to know each other comes from different tribes, customs, languages, cultures, groups, social status, and even religions by always promoting mutual respect and understanding

Ab-initio predictions of phase stability, electronic structure, and optical properties of (0001)-MAX surfaces in M2AC (M = Cr, Zr, Hf; A = Al, Ga)
Here, we report MAX phases' surface properties, which are essential for thin-film technology due to their excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation, corrosion, and wear. The surface stability, electronic, and optical properties of 0001-surfaces in M2AC (M = Zr, Hf, Cr; A = Al, Ga) are investigated and compared with their bulk counterparts. The interplay between chemical bonding and charge distribution is discussed from electronic structure, including the Fermi surfaces. Four possible (0001)-terminated surfaces are considered by breaking M − C and M-A bonds in which cleavage energy of M − C is higher than M-A. The Cr–Al bond in Cr2AlC is stronger than other M-A bonds. The charge density of valance A-p electrons redistributes in the surface area, distinct from that of the bulk. The A- and M(C)-terminated (0001)-surfaces are the most stable and energetically favorable terminations due to lower surface energies.
